I do love this album. It has a few tracks that I’m not super fond of, but overall it’s great. It took a few listens for me, but it’s grown in me for sure and I go to it fairly often.

I pick and choose, some go on this playlist, others on another, but the tracks have definitely grown on me too.

@@HunterBoldingVideo True what you say about En Vivo too - it's one of the greatest live albums / videos Maiden ever did alongside Rock in Rio imho

Starblind is my favourite, and to me Where the wild winds blow is the most perfectly-crafted song I've ever heard.

I am extremely fond of the direction they took after Bruce and Adrian rejoined. This was my favourite album post-reunion when it came out. However nowadays, I don't listen to it quite as much as the other albums. Why? No idea.

This is my second favorite reunion album behind Dance Of Death and it’s in my Top 6. Personally, I love every track on this album except TMWWBK, I feel like it goes on with not that much going on during the runtime. I have this album on LP and listen to it so much, but for some reason I just can’t get into TMWWBK
Otherwise my favorites are El Dorado, Mother Of Mercy, The Talisman, and Where The Wild Wind Blows

Respectable opinion, when I do the rankings when the all the videos are over, it should slot somewhere in that area.

Dance Of Death might be my second favorite.

I love this album, double concept album as 1. Celebration of rock music with a lot of tributes to classic rock and metal - Satellite 15 tribute to Astro Domine by Pink Floyd, intro of El Dorado tribute to intro of Hit the Light in Kill em All, Mother of Mercy tribute to The Darkest Hour by Medadeth, solos in Coming Home tribute to Little Wing etc...
    2. Concept album about the threat to life on Earth and nature and the voyage as an escape from distruction.
This is one of the most accomplished albums by Iron Maiden since 1980, the lyrics are breathtaking and the music is wild. The Final Frontier is unfairly misunderstood even by the core fans, but to me is one of their best.

Great analysis, definitely a misunderstood album.

@@HunterBoldingVideo I wanted to explain my idea of loose concept album: For the recurring of its themes, The Final Frontier is closer to AMOLAD (antimilitarism and anti-fundamentalism) and Senjutsu (nostalgic nationalism) rather than to the other post-reunion albums; and this idea of loose concept albums can be spotted also in TNOTB (freedom, escape) and SIT (Time), more than any other IM album; even more than SSOASS, which is widely known as a concept album on good and evil, but the lyrics do not deliver as much as the aforementioned albums.
Your review on The Final Frontier was great and it may persuade people to give a chance to this fantastic album hopefully.

My wife bought me this album for my birthday when it came out. Unfortunately she bought a weird ‘collectors’ edition. It came in a metal box with picture disc of the band showing through a plastic cover. I wasn’t impressed. It was also a tough time for new music in my life. Our twins were born that same day. I didn’t listen to it for a while. By the time they came around in tour, I had only listened to it a couple of times. We went to the show but I didn’t ‘know’ the new songs. I didn’t really get into Finale Frontier until 2018 and I regret it. Might be my favorite 21st century album.

You done a great job reviewing this album (and other IM albums). Personally i think it is very underrated and i just don't understand the complains people have with it . With exception of El Dorado and maybe MOM all tracks are good to great. Admittedly in general i like this one more than BOS.

Im a long time Iron Maiden fan going back to 1988. I love Final Frontier and imo its the best album of the new reunion era.. and i will go as far as to say it is the best album since Seventh Son. I loved it at first listen and still love everything about it. El Dorado im not such a huge fan of to be completely honest. its "ok". I definitely like this more than book of souls and senjutsu
