Model: E Class AMG E43 4 matic plus + 401 hp 700 Nm of torque. Full with newest technology of infotainment system as well as the engine.

Just purchased Merc c220 AMG SPORT ED PREM + CDI A, 2143CC, it is a 2015 car(65), I am somewhat confused, am I required by the Parking Pilot to TOUCH the brake OR accelerator during the parking process.
There are conflicting suggestions in a number of video's, I would be most grateful to receive your advice.?

I don't own your model, but have a 2016 CLA. The older models with Active Park Assist do not really REQUIRE you to use either brake or accel. pedal.
With regards to the accelerator...remember that a vehicle in either gear will roll on its own. The system uses this speed to move. if the vehicle is near a speed bump or other terrain restriction, then some additional pedal input may be required.
With regards to the brake...the vehicle will stop in either direction as it maneuvers and will avoid collision. Please note that they warn that you should be ready to brake and therefore I always keep my foot 'ready' on the pedal. ALSO, the system will not always 'see' overhangs like ledges, or branches, and could also miss things such as tow bars so you really do need to be ready to use the brakes.

Hey I just wanted to ask you about your personal experiences with the new COMAND NTG 5.5 system in the E class W/S213.
I‘ve seen a lot of people in online forums being very unhappy with it, they say that it‘s too slow and lacks basic functions such as having traffic jam lists . Also they say that the radio reception is very bad (even in cities) and that the navigation always directs them into traffic jams even though they use the online live traffic information system. Most of them see it as a big step backwards from the older COMAND NTG 5 generation in the C Class W/S 205 (which also did have traffic jam lists btw). How are your experiences so far?
I have one and it's still terrible even with the so called updates. Still hit traffic jams and waste gas on the odd gps routes. But still the best car I ever drove

It’s an option in the vehicle menu. Just press the button with car on it

beautiful car, but mercedes messed up the rear of the limosines/sedans. the coupes are wunderful, but you dont get a E43 coupe :(

Well, this driving assistant turn me off. Out of the parking it could not see the bushes/tree? Did you have to hit the breaks?? And making a turn in local road the car was getting out of the way, very scary! It seems it needs to have the lane paint limits on the floor or you are screwed... Not sure now if this tecs are really useful and not more of a show off that soon loses interest...
So, we will not see any longer any videos on youtube of women trying to park very small cars in parking lots made for trucks?

I just ordered a 2018 E43 AMG, didn't feel the need for self park or Distronic, did add the Pano roof , extra soundproofing, P2 pkg, rear heated seats, 83,000 car, will arrive mid June, gave up a 2014 CLS 550, gorgeous car, lease, didn't get another one cause the body is changing for 19, didn't want to have a old looking new car, also the 19 is a 6 cylinder sewing machine, not ready for that, and couldn't get a 550 version of the E class anymore, so AMG is the way to go, if u want 400 hp, and don't have S class dollars
