Great review, Hey Chris did you hear any weird noises from the cabin like from the A pillars or roof of the car when you drove on rough pavement? Cause up here in Nyc people have complained about some noises from the cabin when they have driven on rough roads, I thought they were crazy at first but its more than 7 people.
No, we didn't notice any weird noises coming from the car. Chris would make some every time he got on the gas, but that's fairly normal. Thanks for watching!

The transmission is a bit jerky. The exhaust sounds so much better when your doing manual shifts vs Sport+. I also agree with you on the brakes. They do like to grab at lower city speeds.

Everybody here is talking like the C43,E43 are new cars they’ve been around for long seems some people just recently knew Mercedes-AMG has C32,C36,C43,E43 from way backare old variants from AMG they just started producing them again they aren’t new they are just remodeled
1st 2 are old and not a car found in the US.
I ordered a2018 E43 AMG, only hoping not to noisy, didn't come thru w the sound deadner, it was ordered but didn't get built w it, now it's almost here and I'm not to happy, really wanted a 550, but no more E550, I had a 14 CLS 550, but that body is changing for 19, and I don't want straight 6 hybrid, so I got stuck ordering a E 43 so we can have the 400 hp, but now not so happy cause I think it's gonna be noisy
Love the review. Ordered mine for European delivery. Going over to Stuttgart in July to drive it around for a week. The waiting is brutal!

The transmission will just to your driving habits and calm down with the jerking.
The fact This ride was around 91k with options and just 360+HP
And Lexus GS f is 85k
With 460+HP makes me SMH
E series has a very beautiful interior
But at this point I think I know what I want
That's power and luxury combined

It's an AMG light. Haha. The AMG E63 can be a bit much for some people. It's a decent car though. I'm an AMG girl. I have a need for speed. Wait? Are you in the ATL?

I've always wondered why the Mercedes C43/E43 has 6 cylinders and the C63/E63 has 8 cylinders. You'd think their nomenclature should be the 63 to denote 6 cylinders and an 83 to denote 8 cylinders.

@@Gmayneful Yes but there is also a big difference in price and gas mileage. Not every one can afford a E63.

Mercedes Benz used to be a very classy brand for very classy people. Now they're rather brash, aggressively styled, and seem like BMW copycats trying to make every model sportier. What happened to this company?
palebeachbum Unfortunately marketing happened. MB outsells BMW in North America so the formula is working. When MB was more conservative in the 80s and 90s, people complained that the platforms were bloated, handling only adequate and styling too conservative.
Have no fear though. You can still get an E Class in the luxury mode for the more classy and traditional look. Steer clear of the avant garde option and definitely steer clear of any AMG.
Mercedes was the first so don’t get it confused.Same goes for the technology .

This is not a true AMG. I don’t see the name plate of the person who built the engine.
It is a true AMG, but you are correct, John Green, the V6 engines aren't built entirely by one person the way AMG's V8s are. So no name plate necessary. Thanks for watching!
It was tuned and tweaked by amg, it’s a real amg
It’s got the AMG tuned transmission. Just doesn’t have the insane v8 which is overkill form the purpose of this car.
Exhaust sound is silly and irritating and so stupid...would much rather listen to others' conversation, music/videos or live entertainment/sport events
