    I prefer the Pixel 8 Pro over the iPhone 15 Pro Max. The software is so good and the way Android works is so much easier than iOS. The processor is great and 95% of people will never use it to full capacity so its not a concern. It feels so much smoother than the iPhone.

    The one thing most reviewers forget to mention is the reliability of the point and shoot capabilities of a phone. The biggest killer feature of the Pixel phones. I'm one of those people who buy several flagships every year, but always end up back with the Pixel for its reliable camera. Having kids and pets, no other phone will reliably get me those pics I want every single time, no matter the lighting conditions.

    This is kinda ridiculous... what makes it a flagship? my phone is so fast, smooth, has no issues whatsoever, like what more do you want from a phone? it easily compares to other flagship phones, as fast, as durable, i just dont get it, other than being a scam to buy and waste more $$$ on useless scores. Upgrade from Tensor G3 to G4 is barely an upgrade at all. With G3 you get Snap 888+ level of performance, which is quite enough, even though it's not at all a gaming phone. The cameras are great too: all of them have autofocus, main one is 1/1.31" which is surprisingly big and you also get a great 120mm telephoto, as well as a okay-ish ultrawide. All of that for 550+ usd rn.

    I like the 8 pro much more than the 9 pro. It just looks and feels better imo. The side of the 9 pro is similar to the iphones and bit of the slab that doesn't feel good to hold. The edges dig into your hands and doesn't feel comfortable like the 8 pro. Also the 8 pro looks a like nicer. The 9 pro chrome sides and glossy finish makes it look out dated and tacky. Some may like that look, but the blue 8 pro is the winner for me.

      @hoppebold02 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@iAfroTech There are only two bugs that come to mind. Sometimes it doens't give a time of how long it's gonna take to charge the phone. And with one of my bluetooth devices, the audio stutters if it autoconnects to the phone until i reconnect - maybe like 30% of the time... But that's only with one bluetooth device out of the 10 I use.
      I think it's a good phone and even though it might not be as fast as a S24 or an iPhone, there's still much less lag and bugs in the operating system than any Galaxy device in my experience. It's quite well optimized.
      And battery life is much better than I expected. I go to bed with 30-40%, even if I have 3 screen hours and 1 hour of bluetooth audio playback a day. After four months of overnight charging, it's still at 102% battery capacity (5131 mah)

    I've had the 8 Pro since December and I have loved it. I do think that 128GB base storage for a "Pro" phone is unreasonable, especially when I got through half of it in 3 months from video and photos alone. Basing a phone's SoC purely on benchmarking is rather dismissive seeing that nobody is really pushing their phone's performance 24/7. Plus it omits the day-to-day usage where it spends many hours doing nothing besides calls, texts, RUclips and social media. I have had mine record, edit and render 4K video via PowerDirector and other than slight heat, there were no issues with it. A Pixel isn't trying to be a powerhouse like Apple, Samsung or Xiaomi. It endeavours to be good at what its made for. Google made a big deal about Video Boost, but by default it is turned off and I have forgotten it even exists. Also Google... where the hell is Zoom Enhance??

    This "After the Buzz" series is good, keep them coming. However, I do disagree a little with the assessment. Pixel phones, including the Pro, are still cheaper than other flagships; the price often drops which makes them even cheaper. Pixels are usually a better value, their performance is great in everyday life regardless of benchmarks, and my experience so far has been even better than when I was using a Samsung flagship. Sure, the display could be better, but it is still good. I always get compliments on pictures and videos I take. Even data transfer over Quick Share is surprisingly good, and fast.
    Even at full retail price Pixels are cheaper than the competition and arguably they are the better buy; greater value.

    Least efficient and worst performing at the price bracket. Phones from 3 years ago beat it and the pixel still can't run local LLM s. The iPhone 12 can run local llm s. The only reason I like the pixels is the unlockable bootloader because that was the spirit of open source 😢

      @@winstonhorn9683 I get what you're saying and I didn't bother to watch his part in the video. I was going strictly off of my own experience. I've had the pixel 8 Pro since it became available. I had the pixel 7 Pro before that and in my experience I haven't had those issues. It might be because since day one I've run beta software. I have no idea but I personally didn't deal with that. My biggest issue has been with service which the new Samsung modem is supposed to fix so I'm really looking forward to that. But as far as like usability smoothness even gaming, I haven't really had any issues or anything that I would consider unplayable and I'm a pretty anal you know power user I've either. Just had really good luck on the beta software with just a few hiccups here and there or I just got a better bend model. I'm not sure but I can honestly say that as far as the issue list goes mine has been extremely minimal
