As I approach 70 years of life I am now having concerns about how much longer I will be able to get out and enjoy the back country. My health is a concern now days but is not awful, it has slowed me down some but not yet to the extent of wanting or needing to quit my outdoor adventures. I look at sweet Daisy and see the reflection of myself through her as a senior life here on the earth mother and wonder how many more beautiful sun rises and sun sets will I live to see. I love watching when it's just Daisy and you out there reflecting on having a life full of love, gratitude and appreciation.
This is what I like about your videos . No glitz, no glamour, not the latest and greatest thing to Overlanding. Just straight up no bullshit camping in the back country and Beautiful scenery. Just downright nothing fancy good food, with a great companion, Daisy. The way that we camp. Awesome video buddy 🙌🙌
The sounds of nature will always surmount any background music inserted in the visual pleasure that is being in the outdoors. The sound of a brook, the rolling boom of thunder as you witness a crack of lightning, the sounds of the insects and other nocturnal animals heard thru the crackling of a campfire cannot be substituted. There is music that is soothing while enjoying the scenery, but it is not needed 99% of the time.
Jason, your camera work has always been amazing. I have watched for quite sometime and learned some skills from your early bush craft videos. I love the no music nature sounds. Simply amazing my friend. Give Daisy a great big hug for me. -Dallas
letting the sounds come through lends much more to your video. Music takes away a lot. I love your filming in this and feel I am there experiencing that time. The crackle of burning logs, the hiss of the tilly lamp, the sound of running water…it all adds to your story. Please do more like this. So refreshing to come across someone willing to push open the box! Thank you 🔥
Really like the original sound of this video. Without music added, I find it more immersive and peaceful. Daisy seems to be the most lucky dog on this hearth.
The arch of out pets lives teach about our own paths. I find Joy and heartache watching Daisy enjoy the passing of the season by her best friends side.
Appreciate the realness and peaceful feeling of nature in this video. I’m traveling in the south right now so not too much snow for the winter but still experiencing some cool weather. Nothing better than snuggling up with your pup in your car when it’s cold. I know I always appreciate my Golden’s cuddles when it’s chilly. Definitely want to check out Oregon this summer!
I really enjoyed your video and editing of this episode. I admire your effort and talent to share your story and immerse us in your experience. Thank you so much!
Beautiful and peaceful. Great seeing Daisy out and about. Love those peaceful morning, a cup of coffee and man’s best friend. We bought some of Daisy’s coffee for Christmas and it’s great. Thanks for sharing your passion for the outdoors.
PERFECTION.... there's waaay too much music on peoples overlanding/camping vlogs nowadays... its all about the sights and sounds of nature not someones playlist... thanks for the video sir 👍🏾
At first I missed the music, but then I realized the simplicity of the moment and appreciation of the sounds. It felt like I was there with you camping. Thanks for sharing.
I love your content and editing. I usually enjoy the music but this was a great episode without it. Gotta say that listening to Daisy snore was mesmerizing, I wanted to go snuggle up with my pup.
Great video, Central Oregon is really a gem. Don't forget, all that snow melting is seeping into the ground and filling up our parched aquifers. Cheers from the Willamette Valley.
Incredible sounds…loved the drone footage with the sound of chopping the wood. Really nice production quality. It takes an artist, and a diligent student of the craft to so beautifully capture and convey the feelings and emotions of the moment. This all seemed so natural and unforced. Very impressive.
Really enjoy your combination of bushcraft, cooking, camp life, off roading, photography, etc. Daisy is wonderful too. Thanks for taking us along on your journey!
I agree with you low snow not good for the summer. And of course the dams too...need water. Were in Greenwood BC and -5 now and have 140% snow pack so hope were ok. Summer seems to be Fire Storms now and destroys many places and towns. Hope this year you and yours will be safe...enjoy your channel immensely...
Nice camping spot in the woods. The food looked delicious. Peace and quiet time with your lovely dog, a warm fire, a great meal and a warm van. What more can you want. Very nice video.
I get the impression from reading the comments below, your viewers like the "no music" approach. This is my 1st time on your site (normally watch Steve & Luke). I really enjoyed your POV. Daisy is how old? At 78, I've put a few dogs down, and I miss every single one of them. Be strong when the time comes and remember trips like this one. She really loves her "dad".
You could’ve had all the winter snow camping that you want down here in Texas this week. It was great spending some time with you and Daisy out there in the forest. Thanks for taking us along. Good Vibrations
I see you Jason as more of philosopher than a RUclipsr!! Love the life messages you give through out your vids. Plus the scenery photography and outdoor skills you show are tremendous.
I appreciate your videos they keep me motivated I'm driving full time with my service dog in my truck going to hit all 50 states sometimes I get a little down and then I watch one of your videos and I get excited for the next day.
That’s awesome that you’re hitting all 50 states. Our goal isn’t that lofty yet but would love to get to all of them someday. Just exploring the southern U.S. right now over winter
My idea of perfect- I love your peaceful and relaxing central Oregon videos. Starting my van conversion here in Southern Oregon and finding inspiration from you. Thank you so much.
I think all too often those who try to capture the raw beauty of nature can somewhat obscure it with music. Nothing beats the sound of nature or the rocks under your tires as you roll along. Thanks for sharing. It keeps me going til my next round of adventures. ✌️
I am so inspired, as a fellow Oregonian, I long for the days outside.... someday I hope to meet you in the woods, maybe in my neck of the woods of Southern Oregon. Ty again, cindy
It’s me again. Stuck at work again. LOL. Enjoyed the video as always. You could make a 20 minute video of the campfire and I would watch every second of it. Best therapist I never talked to. LOL. Great work
I have to say that your production & video quality is impeccable. The shots that you get and choose. Where and when you decide to pull focus shows a well developed cinematic eye. Other RUclips creators can learn a lot from watching your content.
Wow, just loving yur van camping style. Just park, setup yur campfire, chop some wood, voila, campsite is ready. Gr8 shots w/ yur drone. Also gr8 2 c U go camping w/ your dog. & this vdo show yur bed setup. Thx 4 sharing on Utube.
I enjoyed the film 🎞 and the content as always and look 👀 forward to seeing more like it, thank you 🙏🏼 for all your hard work 😓 in making these films for us to view
Beautiful trip Jason thank you. We are going to be hurting in NorCal we haven’t had any rain since the beginning of January. I am about an hour north of San Francisco and the hills are turning brown already. The calming hiss of a Colman lantern is quite possibly one of the most calming sounds while out camping.
I like the sounds without music. Music is nice for drone pics but this is really very, very nice and REAL! Thank you! This is my first time to comment but I do enjoy that you are down to earth and you have great pictures/video and I like your "reviews". I LOVE Daisy! Best of luck to you and Daisy and I look forward to more content from you--music or no music! ;-)
Dude I love the fact that you use a pump up Coleman lantern. I collect those. I have them ranging from made in the 1930s up to the 90s. They’re so fun to use
Great video! Love the channel. I enjoy all your videos, but I particularly enjoy these nice, slow-rolling, contemplative and beautifully shot ones. Thanks again Jason.
Oh ya , wish I was there lol Our old pup is even further along than Daisy so we're limited on our outings . We have travelled across Canada twice and got a lot of memories with our camper pup. He still enjoys a van ride
Awesome job. Always top notch camera work and beautiful shots which makes it feel like I'm right there. Even had a good chuckle at the use of the axe to pound down the steak.
Another superb video. I am becoming more and more of a fan with each of your videos I watch. I have never been winter camping in the snow but you definitely inspire me to go north and do it.

Utah Jeff …. Here….,hey, I am 69 …. Still working….but I do a lot of solo camping…. I have some health issues too …. But don’t Louth limits on myself
Keep getting out there Brad love from Scotland!
Get as much nature for yourself as you can, Brad. Each contact with the outdoors is another memory stored to cherish.
Really digging the No music approach. Feels like when you’re talking to the camera, I’m sitting right there with you.
It’s almost like we’re the ones holding the camera
I love your videos but prefer them without music. Starting and ending are fine, but I like hearing you and nature!
Love the now music. Also, loved how you used your splinting ax to tenderize the steak. That was awesome 😂
So peaceful. I’m a double amputee but watching this makes me want to figure out how to get back to places like this
I miss Wheeler 😔 so good to see Daisy out and about.
I miss being outdoors back west. Watching this video is therapeutic
Love your work! Love the no-music style!

Loved this video. So peaceful and beautiful and the love shared by you and Daisy...perfect 🐾💛 Thank you for sharing.
I love this peaceful video with no music in nature. I'm getting relaxed 😌
Jason, your camera work has always been amazing. I have watched for quite sometime and learned some skills from your early bush craft videos.

Good ol' Daisy! That's an excellent set-up for cooking. Hope you get more snow. 👍😎📷🇨🇦🐾❄

Wow I want to explore places like those beautiful videos you make so peaceful.
Love the natural sounds of the forests and moving water. More please.
Great video, Central Oregon is really a gem. Don't forget, all that snow melting is seeping into the ground and filling up our parched aquifers. Cheers from the Willamette Valley.
Great video Jason.
Back to the basics. Solitude and good food.
Thank you. 👍
What a lovely video. So peaceful and serene. Daisy is such a good old girl. Thanks for sharing...

Thanks for taking us along on your journey!
Love Daisy. It's tough watching our best friends get older. Great video.

I very much enjoyed this tranquil video. It's nice to hear nature's sounds. This video really made me feel that I was right there too.

I like both styles Jason. Great camera work.
Loved the video without any music. Hearing the sounds of the campsite, stream, the van on the trail, and as always your narration were great!
I do like all the natural sounds over the music.
AXE as a tenderizing hammer...PRICELESS!
I really like the van .
You could’ve had all the winter snow camping that you want down here in Texas this week.

This was a awesome video. I liked the mix of you talking and the peacefulness
Really enjoyed the no music filled in with the sounds of nature and camp life. Pulls a person into the settings. Thanks and keep up the great videos
Always taking it to the next level, great video my friend.
I see you Jason as more of philosopher than a RUclipsr!! Love the life messages you give through out your vids. Plus the scenery photography and outdoor skills you show are tremendous.
I like to hear the vehicles and whatever sounds there are, the music is for me taking away some of the total experience
I appreciate your videos they keep me motivated I'm driving full time with my service dog in my truck going to hit all 50 states sometimes I get a little down and then I watch one of your videos and I get excited for the next day.

My idea of perfect- I love your peaceful and relaxing central Oregon videos. Starting my van conversion here in Southern Oregon and finding inspiration from you. Thank you so much.
love the intro, nice camera work, and editing.
Thanks for the great content. 👍🏾
I like the scenes with the drone above the tree line and the sounds of campfire or chopping wood. Nice touch.
I think all too often those who try to capture the raw beauty of nature can somewhat obscure it with music. Nothing beats the sound of nature or the rocks under your tires as you roll along. Thanks for sharing. It keeps me going til my next round of adventures. ✌️
Agreed music is great but nature is often better. Sometimes capturing on film is difficult though. I’m working on doing that myself
Great video man. The editing was excellent loved the shot with the camera next to your dog. Hopefully less fires this year...
I am so inspired, as a fellow Oregonian, I long for the days outside.... someday I hope to meet you in the woods, maybe in my neck of the woods of Southern Oregon. Ty again, cindy
So easy to watch, really makes me want to grab the family and go camping. Thank you man.

Awesome channel 👍😎
Great vid. I wish I was camping right now. What sweet pupper.
Loved the cooking with a fire. Catching up on your vids while I recover from Covid.

Thank you for the great video. Seems like a short winter. Hate to see it go. Be safe.
Daisy was in Heaven that morning. She looked so content. I'm actually jealous hahahaha
