It amazes me that Jason puts this amazing content out with beautiful scenery and the comments that come in are “ first comment” and “second comment “ So boring childish and unoriginal
I see the duct tape repair on Donald’s hood, all the dirty denim, faded plaid, worn tools and lack of shiny new ‘stuff’ too many channels bride like a magic carpet, and appreciate the real work you guys put in to enjoy and share the ride. Thankyou
One of my favorite sayings is "There are three sounds that sooth the tired soul: Wind in the trees, water in the stream and rain on the canvas." You guys got all three, even though the trip didn't go as planned, so it was still worth every minute. Cheers!
Even though this trek didn't go anywhere near according to plan, it's always a good time to be out exploring together or just sitting around the campfire. Nice work on this series Jason.
2 of the heaviest hitters of how it's done when pursuing adventures and living like this. You 2 obviously have a wealth of previous experiences and knowledge that we all benefit from. I know you guys have to have a sense of humor. But I like how serious you both take excursions like this. Thanks for sharing. Seems like it must be RUclips van life requirement to show coffee being made during a segment like this?
Good evening from Godley Texas, always a pleasure to watch you and Donald interact with each other. Not to hurt Donald's feelings, nut IMO you're the better camp chef. Not the place you wanted to be, but overall a terrific location. Stay safe and happy travels 😎
Greetings from Washington around this time of the year Oregon and Washington in the fall rain snow wind all the good stuff that keep are state green but seeing you and Donald making the best with the weather and making good memories making good campfire stories for years down the road and the best thing having a good friend to share them with both of you keep up the good work 😊
We must call attention to the fact that you two were on at least part of the Oregon trail and did not die from Dysentery! That in itself is worthy of congratulations and honors. Adding to what looked like an adventure in some beautiful territory. Sometimes it's hard for me to watch your videos because it makes me realize how boring and unadventurous my life is, lol.
I look forward to y’alls yearly overland trips also and enjoy rewatching your past adventures together too. Yours and Donald’s channels are two of my favorites. Please keep it up.
Despite all the bad weather, you fellows managed to put together a great camping trip. I especially enjoy seeing your camping skills on display. The gathering and chopping of wood, the food preparation, the fire pit, and even the whiskey, really make it real. I admit to recently buying a $100 lava rock portable propane fire pit. It’s been a joy to use, and allows us to have a “real” fire in campgrounds that don’t allow wood fires. Thanks for “taking us along” on your adventures. Happy Trails
I love the yellow trees. We are getting that in VA and in rainy weather they are just the best. Happy Thanksgiving if I don't post before then. Very thankful to live in this country. 😍
Wow, I love camping! It's such a great way to spend quality time with family and enjoy the outdoors. Speaking of outdoor gear, have you heard of the Segway Portable PowerStation Cube Series? It's a powerful and versatile power station that can keep your devices and appliances running for extended periods. Plus, it's waterproof, so you can take it on any adventure, rain or shine! Definitely worth considering for your next camping trip. Happy camping!
I did take the bait, but enjoyed the video. I'm sure you have plenty of water stored up (you seem to have everything dialed in to perfection). But, you're missing out on the best water available - collect some of that rain water 😮 😊 Safe travels!
I was thinking of ya today whilst outdoors cooking bisquits and gravy on my Winnerwell wood burner stove. Good call respecting the mud....thanks for sharing!
Had to get in my evening chainsaw entertainment!😂 🎵"Whisky, oh whisky and wild, wild women 💃 🎶 They'll drive you crazy, they'll drive you insane!" 🎶 👍😎🇨🇦🔥
hey you two. it would be an honor to spend time with the both of you as you look for more trails and content. I live in AZ just recently retired with time to spare. would travel to Oregon. my girlfriend travels to Dallas Oregon every 6 to 8 weeks to visit family.
What a great camp spot! The vista is like one million B.C. The two volcanic cones up to the right, low clouds....inspiring! Jason I can see a lot of photography coming from this trip. Great video. Will you be at PLS Bin December? Thnx to you and Donald for another team adventure.
Great video! This video shows that discretion can be the better part of valor as well as the importance of being well prepared. It obvious you maintain a very comfortable camp and have the experience to enjoy it in any kind of weather. Just out of curiosity, what happened to your preference for Pendleton whiskey?
HI JASON & DONALD 👋 THAT WAS A WELL DESERVED STOP & CAMPSITE . GLAD THE TERRAIN WAS WAY DIFFERENT THAN WHAT YOU BOTH HAD GONE THROUGH . LOVE YOUR FIREPIT ! DO YOU HAVE THE INSERTS FOR THE CAST IRON DUTCH OVEN IT BE AET INSIDE TOO 🤔 I KNOW YOU USE YOURS A LOT HAVE YOU HAD TO REPLACE THE STAINLESS STEEL NETTING YET ? GORGEOUS CAMPSITE EVEN WITH THE 🌧 🌦 WEATHER . BE SAFE! HAVE FUN ! ENJOYED 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 GOD BLESS YOU BOTH ALWAYS ON YOUR ADVENTURES 🙏 THANK YOU 🙏 JASON HAVE YOU HAD A CHANCE TO GO HUNTING THIS SEASON YET ?
You go to so much work to put together a primitive fire, you should get a hot spark and some cotton to start it. I'm enjoying your videos. I wish I could do the same. Maybe someday.
I’m gonna go after the coffee making process from a different angle than the other detractors. I have what appears to be the same press, and coming from the land of drip coffee makers, I am having a little trouble turning coffee grounds and water into a drinkable cup of coffee. How much coffee and how many minutes are you steeping?
We just returned from Green Ridge east of the Metolius River. Yes the larch were great. The larch near our home up Tumalo Creek are past their prime. I do love the portable fire pit. Is this the same one you have had for several seasons?
Great series of videos, brother. But I'm outta here. I've had it with Google/RUclips force-feeding me rightwing propaganda and commercials. Time to do something productive with my time. Safe travels, my friend.
Found your channel from Donald's, and enjoy your similar content, thx! Subscribed and watched 7 or 8 vids last night ;) I enjoyed the camping more than the driving, so kudos to getting some campground footage in here!
Second, haha...I am listening and ALL the sudden I hear the BIG two cycle chainsaw. Lol....you need a Home-a'lite XL, a "tin cap", and a Timber Jack w/ a 353 Detroit!!! 😂 screw those enviro-weenies. I do love forest...but someone I am SURE would have some sort of objection....fumes, pollution ...etc .
It amazes me that Jason puts this amazing content out with beautiful scenery and the comments that come in are “ first comment” and “second comment “

Totally agree. Some people have nothing but their own self-importance…
I see the duct tape repair on Donald’s hood, all the dirty denim, faded plaid, worn tools and lack of shiny new ‘stuff’ too many channels bride like a magic carpet, and appreciate the real work you guys put in to enjoy and share the ride.
Thankyou
I like the old saying: Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
One of my favorite sayings is "There are three sounds that sooth the tired soul: Wind in the trees, water in the stream and rain on the canvas." You guys got all three, even though the trip didn't go as planned, so it was still worth every minute. Cheers!
Tip: Try heating the tortilla a little before you wrap and they will be easier to fold. Then toast!
Even though this trek didn't go anywhere near according to plan, it's always a good time to be out exploring together or just sitting around the campfire. Nice work on this series Jason.
Don’t appreciate the Click Bait title. You do a great job without this tactic.
Absolutely 💯
Yeah100
it got me to watch.🤓
but, less than a minute in and now, l’m gone…cause you gave it away.
thanx, for saving me the time.🤘🏼
I agree 100%, I don't appreciate the click bait, shameless!
Pass on these videos going forward, Clickbaitors-
Absolutely love both of guys channels another awesome video from Primal Outdoors.

the fact that you guys are still working on the routes -- after several years - makes it even more epic :)
Love 💕 the scenery of the drone moving through those beautiful pine trees of different colors and heights.
Good evening from Godley Texas, always a pleasure to watch you and Donald interact with each other. Not to hurt Donald's feelings, nut IMO you're the better camp chef. Not the place you wanted to be, but overall a terrific location. Stay safe and happy travels 😎
A rainy, muddy not-so-ideal day in the field is still better than a good day at work…. Looking out the window 😊 thanks for sharing
That mud in eastern Oregon is the real deal!! And when it dries you almost need a jack hammer to remove it.
Greetings from Washington around this time of the year Oregon and Washington in the fall rain snow wind all the good stuff that keep are state green but seeing you and Donald making the best with the weather and making good memories making good campfire stories for years down the road and the best thing having a good friend to share them with both of you keep up the good work 😊
An awning, a campfire, a great friend, and some whisky. Does not get any better than that. As always, safe travels....
Thank you for this video. Even in bad weather, one can still have good times.
Excellent video.
Even with your trip cut short it looks like you guys had a blast.
Thanks for sharing.
❤❤❤ your take on being outdoors...mountains the forest a mud filled road cooking outside...what a great day tu
So.... Donald's channels link? Don't see it here. Great video as usual Jason!
Sometimes the road wins some times we win, great story either way! thanks boys for the great content
Absolutely beautiful!!! I wish I could camp out with you guys. You go some breath taking places... Love the video!❣️ always stay safe out there...
Classic Prima , lumberjack mode and all just wish the fire scene was longer .
Thanks to both of you making my day , great short video.

Love the dusk scene at 15:15, with the fire going, whiskey in hand, and the Coleman lantern lit.
We spent a week in the same spot about 2 years ago in about the same weather, beautiful view and it was neat watching the cars on the hwy at night.
Great video. Thank you.
Awesome seeing two of my favorite local RUclipsrs camping in a view spot I know very well. Another great video as always.
Amazing view in this video, all just perfect. Donald's Nissan has upgraded quite a lot..... Good to see you guys again.
Jason and Donald! Legends! 👍🏻🇺🇸🍻

4 hours at my office desk is harder and I´d rather be camping in the pooring rain like you guys!
I love the yellow trees. We are getting that in VA and in rainy weather they are just the best. Happy Thanksgiving if I don't post before then. Very thankful to live in this country. 😍

best episode since a long time!
And most importantly you guys got to enjoy each others company. We are never guaranteed tomorrow. Great to see you guys enjoying life. ❤️🙏🏻🇺🇸💯
"Enjoy" may be too strong a word. We got to "experience" each other's company. 😂
(seriously though, always fun hitting the trail with Jason)
Cam Lock Carabiner for the awning tie outs. Works much quicker! In case you're interested.
You should make you own cook book I love that gravy you made I cook every time I make biscuits and gravy
Loving this looks so relaxing
Awesome stuff as usual men. Cheers from Manitoba Canada.
Nice trip even though weather and private parcels interfered...just being out in this country is great. Thx
I did take the bait, but enjoyed the video.

Hola from Arizona, love your videos, I do a little Van life myself spend 2 months every summer in the central Oregon area. Great videos
Dude love you're van looks sweet
Another great adventure!! 👍
Yeah that was a good camp. Nice scenery. It was good like you say you got to know when you can pull out. It's always the next time. 👍👍🇨🇦😊
I watch your channel to see blue skies and sni6w not torrential rain, have enough of that already in Sourh Wales U.K. 😂
“manageable sizes” those are massive 😅
I was thinking of ya today whilst outdoors cooking bisquits and gravy on my Winnerwell wood burner stove. Good call respecting the mud....thanks for sharing!
Great videos ❤
Was that duct tape on Donald's hood?? Haha. We need to start a gofundme for Donald to get a new rain coat.
For the record, that's no ordinary duct tape, that's Gorilla tape! Fancy! 😂 I'm actually going to talk about why that's there in an upcoming video. 😄
@@softroadingthewest hahaha, looking forward to it!
Great content fellas.
Make sure when you camp and worried about wind that you camp right on top a skid pad😅
Had to get in my evening chainsaw entertainment!😂 🎵"Whisky, oh whisky and wild, wild women 💃 🎶 They'll drive you crazy, they'll drive you insane!" 🎶 👍😎🇨🇦🔥
The click bait is awesome! Too funny. Let the Karens cry. These are the videos that got my sub. Great video, Mahalo for sharing.
Still No Dogs Jason,I’ll just keep checking on you, when you get some dogs i will be back.
I wouldn't waste your time checking back then.
Jason
I love that knife you were using while you were making kindling. Where can I get one like it?
I often wondered what knife that is but I never asked!
That’s a William Collins Survival Knife (WCSK) it the best knife you will ever own.
@@Happycamper1998 I was wondering if that it was after a Google image search
Why the clich'e click bait my guy..?
I thought you were above that lame activity. Keep it real man.
Love those trees. Like to be in there with my camera. Adventure continues.
Good stuff.
Great Video 👍🏻😎😊❤
Looking for Donalds RUclips channel also want more info on his truck and build
Found it

We just returned from Green Ridge east of the Metolius River. Yes the larch were great. The larch near our home up Tumalo Creek are past their prime. I do love the portable fire pit. Is this the same one you have had for several seasons?
Asking about your wood stove flue pipe setup how you make it??? Thank you!

Donalds Job is to make us dinner .. be nice ...
What’s with the “Quitting Van Life” are we resorting to click bait ?
Found your channel from Donald's, and enjoy your similar content, thx! Subscribed and watched 7 or 8 vids last night ;)
I enjoyed the camping more than the driving, so kudos to getting some campground footage in here!
how are you not burning the bottom out of that fire platform???
Where do you find a high top for a van
Hey bro!!!
What do you store in the bag on your front bumper?
Whatever happened to drinking Pendlenton??
Where's Daisy. Has she passed?
🍻
👍
👍👍👍
👍👍👍👍👍
Y’all quit? Ok, I’ll move on.
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Love the channel Jason but not clickbait heading, u don't need that shit, disappointing
Really???
I will comment but never watch a video of quitters .
and what was this video about? Also a lot of Yotubers have this nasty habit of putting a process of making coffee in their videos.
Hahaha.. would not make a pimple on a 1870's Rocky mountain American mountain mans as#😮😮😮
Or even any American pioneer"s either 😅..just sayin😂
Lol
RUclipsr fascinated with making coffee. Almost the first 2 minutes making coffee? Boring!
