- Living the van life, kayaking, camping and camp cooking on a small mountain lake. This will be the last trip out with the Oru Inlet Kayak this year. I love getting out and camping in my van especially when the weather is bad, it's so warm and comfortable. We did get a break in the weather and got the Oru Inlet Kayak out one last time this year.

Your Primal Outdoors - Camping and Overlanding, I am living the van life in my Ford E350 4x4 Van traveling around the remote public land system in Oregon
These type of content is what the world needs rn back to basic back to nature forget the noise and chaos just camp fire and good food with your dog..
The one thing I love about your videos, is that you aren’t a come lately to the newest things. You’ve used your knife, your chainsaw, your cast iron skillet for years. I love that. Things that work, stay in your life. You even like splitting wood! The only thing you’ve changed, is you living quarters. That is moving forward, within reason. Cheers of Pendleton. Skillet
'Chad' of 'Living The Van Life' wouldn't have used a chainsaw, he would have used a crude handsaw. Your fella's too soft.😂
💯💯❤❤❤
Lone Wolf… I really enjoy Chad Living the Can Life. I’ve followed him for sometime, but if you’ve ever watched him, he buys his firewood in bundles. I’m not sure if he owns a saw. I’m watching his latest right now, he’s once again carried a nice bundle out with him. It’s always dry and burns great. Skillet
Agreed
1990westfalia Don’t forget that wool pull over hoodie. Jason you still rockin the Mini Mils? 🥾
i have the utmost respect for people who treat animals and their pets with respect and patience.....keep on campin....Hi Daisy!
This is how a camping/overlanding channel should be. No dumb music...just the sounds of a man and his dog working in nature.
who r u referring to?
Good to see Daisy she’s a good friend.😉🙏🏻
Daisy - kicking back and supervising, like the Queen that she is!
She is a sweet soul
Thanks Jason and Daisy for taking us along 🇺🇸👍🏻
Always watch your episodes twice, just don't want to miss anything.
I mean they just keep getting better and better. Thank you
I am glad your enjoying them
Jason
Daisy is the best companion in these vlogs!
Daisy sure has you trained. That Remington saw has served you well. Like the tie out of the awning, makes good sense. Thanks again . Stay safe and healthy happy trails.
I honestly love to be out in a kayak bundled up kind of with snow around and while fishing, gives me that ice fishing vibe
Thanks Jason for inspiring me to have my own channel and be able to explore the great outdoors adventure. I learn alot from watching your videos throughout the years 👍👍
Awesome rig and beautiful pup! That was a very nice spot as well you found!
Love your videos. I enjoy watching you set up camp, prepare your meals, film the beautiful landscape and how respectfully you treat Daisy. What a sweet dog. I go desert camping as I live in So California, so I enjoy seeing the rivers, trees and greenery for a change. I also pick up new ideas for camping from your videos, such as some of your gear, food that you take and the Pendleton to finish off the day! cheers
Awesome thank you for sharing! I started watching your videos a long time ago and they just keep getting better. Well done 👍
Another great video. Thank you Jason for your efforts and for the adventures you share with us.
Back to the basics. I really enjoy these simple trips. Your camera work and perspectives are amazing.
These are the videos I enjoy. Wood splitting, campfires, food prep and cooking. Daisy looks good. Thanks.
Great video, thanks for sharing. Daisy really compliments your work so well, what a lovely soul she is.
Keep up the fantastic work.
This video is spot on. Your skills with a camera really show thru. Daisy is looking good and she always knows were your at. Love my Golden. Take care and stay safe, Al
Your storytelling and visuals, your cinematography and quiet, your honesty and creative shots = BREATHTAKING and REFRESHING
Just discovered your videos and i have to say they are awesome. Absolute joy to watch - Congratulations on living the life!
Your videos have always been great but the quality keeps getting better and better. Worth the time and effort put in behind the scenes👍🏽
100% awesome/enjoyable!! Good to see Daisy has a good appetite (along with you!) Love the music!
Sweet sweet pup. Always a pleasure, Jason, to see a video posted.
Respect.
Love that you were able to get out with the kayak around the lake one last time before the much colder weather comes. It's a peaceful and calming scene to watch. Maybe the next season when you get the kayak out again - can you give a pan around the water line with your camera as you go kayaking by?🤔 It would be as if we were all the kayak with you, Lol. 😄 I like eye level shots/scenes of being on a lake. I do appreciate all the hard work you put into all these videos.😊💖
Another awesome video! I love the basics of camping, splitting wood, and making a fire plus meals. Its a big part of the enjoyment. Glad to see Daisy still lets you join her on her camping trips lol. Cheers
A beautiful video Jason, I love the simple ones that really show how it is out there, stay safe my friend
Wow, gr8 van camping. The van setup is awesome, open the door & the kitchen is ready. Gr8 storage usage on the top. & U have a folding canoe/kayak, awesome. U're all setup 4 outdoor adventure. Thx 4 sharing on Utube.
Thank you for sharing your world with us it's simply beautiful
Another great video Jason!! Back to the basics , I love it.
Thank you. Gotta love our Oregon falls. I find your videos very inspiring.
the wood interior looks great...good for the soul so to speak.
Your video immediately reminded me of John Steinbecks' Travel With Charley In Search Of America. Wonderful!!!
Awesome video n looking forward ur new video & kayaking in the lake...
As a photographer, and sometime videographer, I especially appreciate the work you put into making your episodes beautiful, and very interesting.
Your B Roll is the best of any of the others I’ve seen on the Y’Tube.
Thanks for taking us along.
I agree. He puts a lot of effort into each scene.
Allen: Ditto! Jason takes the time to shoot early and shoot late.
Try checking living the van life youtube channel.
Good stuff as always. Always watch your videos in the evening to relax. Good stuff.
This is great Jason...
Enjoyable video.
Thank you
Thank you for this wonderful work. It is one of the most beautiful clips broadcast on RUclips. I love camping and the places where you film
First time here. Very good video. No rush, well explained. I subscribed. Thanks for a good job.
I found your channel a few weeks ago and I love it!!! One of my favorite thank you for what you do!!
What a great idea for securing your awning. Thanks
Calm and relaxing trip into the back country. Daisy seems to just find her spot and “supervise” from there. When breakfast started, I thought back to when you were dishing up the bear sausage you had. Now I’m peckish. Safe journeys!
Another awesome video ! Just plain fun to watch ! Great channel .
Beautiful spot jason, its cool to see how far your van has really come. Its still not my style, but your setup is pretty neat and i can tell alot of time and effort was put in to make it what it is today. Cheers bud
Really enjoyed this video. This is what I needed at this moment. Very peaceful, happy video. My favorite part is your beautiful dog. She's lovely. Thank you very much. I loved every part of this video. You have a new subscriber, just because you brought me peace when I felt troubled in my mind. Plus your dog got a piece of my heart. ❤❤❤
Like the polenta trick! Smart with the biscuits and gravy. Kayak is cool and a space saver. Great video as always.
Always love the attention to detail in your videos. Fromt he story, the b-rol, its always spot on. Love the craftsmanship.
The music score is worth the video alone, add to it the awsum meals, beautiful scenery & commentary that makes ya feel your right there as well. Thanks so much.
I like the tip on guying the awning to the wheels. Thanks!
Our 15 year old Daisy is envious of your Daisy’s meals. She said she doesn’t know how much more she can bear to watch. 😀😀
Appreciate your sincerity. So many you tubers are not so genuine. Good luck to you!
Thank you that is very kind
Jason
@@PrimalOutdoors I just moved to southern Oregon from Washington a few weeks ago. If you ever come down to the Roseburg area, hit me up!
@@retiredafce3373 Hey There - I live just south of Roseburg and I spend a lot of time up in the mountains above us. I also venture up to where Jason spends most of his time as well. If you are interested in doing some camping and don’t feel like going alone hit me up and maybe we can put something together. As much as I enjoy my solo adventures there are times when company is appreciated lol. Cheers
@@prepperjonpnw6482 thanks brother I just might hit you up!
Very nice! We really enjoy your videos. Going to try the polenta this weekend. Sounds like a nice change.
The water droplets off the rope, stunning Jason! Loved the T Shirt in your last video as well. Peace.
Going camping tmrw in my Duramax & Nobo 10.5 set up. Really inspired to get out there more with your vids. Thank you!!
The exterior quick connection for propane is pretty slick! Nice job
The amount of work you put into the camera angles is astounding. Great work sir.
Ol Daisy appreciates you. 👍😎🇨🇦🌲🐾💜 That's a sweet kayak!
Good evening from Godley Texas, a great location worth returning to. Daisy is just like Chopper, his days of jumping into and out of the truck are over. At 18 yrs of age he deserves to be pampered. Thanks for sharing another outing and stay safe.😎
I’m from Cleburne….. It sure is pretty up there in Oregon!
Every time I see Daisy she brings tears to my eyes. We had a Golden that was our life to take camping. After 16 years we had to let her rest. Grey faced and hard to get up and down was to much to bear. She will always be in our life as Daisy will be in his.
Loved this ! Thanks for sharing.
I already feel outdoors just listening to this video... nice van too!
What a beautiful place.
This is so relaxing 👍
Thanks for sharing this video, cold weather will soon be here .
Right on looks nice and peaceful
Beautiful as always. I appreciate being a passenger on your adventures.
You may find it easier and more comfortable to paddle in windy conditions if you offset (feather) the blades. If it doesn't have pre-set detents, then somewhere around 30~45° is typically good. The twisting action to "right" the blades is pretty natural. Also, pushing with the far arm, and using the close arm more as a fulcrum, can reduce fatigue, especially on longer trips or harder paddling conditions (ex: wind, waves, less efficient kayaks). The reason being is that incorporates larger muscle groups.
What was the location? What lake?
@@franvega4668 I think he gives the name in the vid. But, somewhere in AK.
Your title says the last trip, I got to say you had me going there for a minute I can't imagine you not spending the winter out in the wild! I'm loving the content, Cheers!
I loove, your videos! Your voice is so calming, I like your whiskey rituals 😊
Thank you
Hey Jason I rely In joy your 🎥 love the fire keep up the good work and be safe🙏🙏
Love your videos, such a beautiful area!
I've camped at both spots of your last 2 videos this summer.wish I could have had a fire but fire ban was in.just bought a mitsubishi delica 4x4 van so hoping to hit up some spots this winter and camp in the snow.hope to see you on the trail someday jason.
Another great video but..... My son and I got super excited to see you start fishing LOL. It would be nice to see you do more fishing and possibly some catch and Cooks 🤙
Glad you could get out on the lake one more time. Bring on winter!
Thank you brother always love your content!!
Nice video and I really appreciate your night shooting. Daisy's such a sweet girl- job well done with her training.
Insane effort into thus video! Great stuff! All the B roll really pays dividends!
Excellent adventure and bushcrafting skills bud!
Take care Jason. Gonna miss u and daisy. I.ve enjoyed your videos and your pure honesty.
Another relaxing beautiful spot… ahhh I needed that. Thanks for taking us along. Noticed you added the drip guards to your paddles. You may want to move them a few more inches away from the paddle ends. If you dip the paddle into the water and the guards also go below water, then I’m guessing any water on the rod past the guard can still drip down towards your hands and into the boat. I’m just guessing…
I'm really liking that rig you have on the roof. I kind of want to get one and that seems really accessible for camping without packing the inside of the van while driving around.
Bought an Oru years ago when they just came off Kickstarter.... love it! No roof rack needed :-)
So much at peace just relaxing & watching
Another great video, really enjoyed it. Daisy is such a good girl.
Now that's what I say is a true overlanding experience. No fancy stuff, pure reality!!
Really enjoyed this video, and just love Daisy.❤️
Great Video> we just had an amazing time wild camping for the first time since starting van life
Beautiful and cozy camping vlog
Just back last night from San Diego beachside camping for the week. Took my 13 yr old cattledog Cosmo. The simple life is the best life!!
I love your life. mine is so stressful all the noises and bad news. I need an outdoor break.
I just found your channel I’m really enjoying your videos. Your camera work is awesome. Ever video I’ve watched from beginning to end. You have a new sub! Thx
thank you for another awesome video!
Awsome adventure Jason, location and rain was great
Awesome video. Thanks Jason.
Glad I found your channel! Great video!!
Great Video very relaxing. Love the way you take such good care of your pup! Was looking for the Pendleton?
Got to pass through that area hiking the PCT and climb that mountain this last summer. Incredible place 😎
Jason, this video was great. Super filming and cooking! Water drops off canopy rope... Daisy in the back ground. Hope ur planning for another when Daisy goes to see Wheeler💕
I am glad you enjoyed the video and the water drop shot I was pretty happy with that one💧
AWESOME Vid + AWESOME Life ... Take Care + STAY SAFE ....🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
I really like those vans , just can't find them here in the southern us. Good going.
I'm constantly more impressed with your whole setup. As much as I admire Coyote Works, venture4wd, TrailRecon, The Road Chose Me and other Wrangler/Gladiator setups, yours seems to cover more bases for long term off grid or full time nomad lifestyle. Although it isn't as compact as a Wrangler, the direct access to the bedding has a very strong appeal, especially for being in my mid 60s. No RTT to set up, then have to climb up to, climb down from and tear down for travel. Also the security of sleeping in a van instead of a tent, whether in a populated area or the wilderness is another HUGE ➕. 👍👍👍
