Jason, Here is another example of an "Easy" like for us all. Your life is slow, simple and warm. I won't be surprised if we're not all thinking of having a campfire and a meal cooked on a cast iron skillet... soon.. Thanks, Skillet
I was wondering about the bacon.. It looked the home cured and smoked hand cut bacon we had on the farm. Nice side pit for cooking.. I'll be using that idea!
Hi Jason I just started following your channel a couple weeks ago... even though iv only watched a few so far this one was amazing..... just so relaxing, and the end with the acoustic music Wow just makes a person think Yah life is short go out and do what makes you happy and enjoy life.... Cheers ....
At this time of year, with the ice, freezing fog and winter in full bloom, I always enjoy these chances to get "outside" with you and sit around the fire. Cheers! 🥃🥃
I love the lighting of a naphtha based Coleman lantern. The flames at the start scares most newbies, then the whole settles down and the pipe vaporizes the fuel before it burns. Bonus: it throws as much heat as it does light.
Mr. Jason, looks so beautiful and surreal. Peaceful and relaxing. Love the content. Thank you for sharing and God Bless you and your family. 🥰👍👍👍👍👍(🌹🐞🦂🌵)
Beautiful. Very relaxing. I was thinking I could add this video to my play list in the evenings to fall asleep... then the Chain Saw came out at 12:17 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Still, great episode!!!
So peaceful I stumbled upon your channel and now I have subscribed. I watch a lot of these videos. There’s a guy out there that’s called Kenny of trades and crazy Qaudy And another work less is my favorite is Kenny of all trades he is my absolute favorite. His videos are so relaxing. I come home from work one of his videos 1520 minutes within 15-20 min I am totally relaxed and distressed love these videos when I retire from the fire department this is exactly what I’m gonna be doing full-time a lot of these guys are weekend campers I follow a lot of the full timers.
Enjoyed you vid. first time I've seen your channel. Liked and sub'd. All good I live in east Kentucky USA. I've traveled and camped all over North America. Mostly by Motorcycle or truck with camper topper.
Just saw my first video content of yours! I’m absolutely in love with it! I have subscribed. What beautiful land you are camping in! Is it Canada? Or Washington State? Thank you! ❤
One thing that I have noticed in how much wood is used to cook with among different cultures is that they tend to vary. In the Philippines a few sticks can cook a complete meal. People camping in the US seem to use way more than is truly needed. I guess it depends on what is available.
normally we do not use a wood fire anymore. Ground fires leave such a mess and if not completely put out can cause The Bridge Creek Wildfire (before your time). I do like your portable wood fire pit. Someday I may add one to my gear. Over Thanksgiving we camped on the Crooked River. While exploring the west rim area I did cut enough dead and dry juniper for one fire. It does burn so nice. Keep up the good work.
Question do you really like the wood stove in your van. Seems very impractical. A diesel heater seems to be a better fit. I am building a camper and wonder if I should consider a wood stove.
Wood burners offer a very comfortable dry heat, and come in Super handy in a shtf scenario. As wood is much more available than propane, or diesel. Woodburners are king.
Im surprised we havent ran into eachother in our adventures.i noticed you didnt have a plate on the van.did you have an issue where you now take it off before you film for saftey or privacy issues
Do you run into any issues with rodents chewing up wiring in your rig? Especially during the winter when they look for warm shelter as the rigs undercarriage provides warmth shelter.
…but if you decide to drink straight from the stream, like the old cowboy poem that Waddie Mitchell and Baxter Black are known to recite, don’t ride or walk upstream. Always ride or walk downstream avoiding the possibility of seeing the old cow that’s slipping her skin while lying dead in said stream. 😂😂😂
I literally cringe when I see someone take a light roast coffee, use about 1/5 of what’s required to make something that remotely resembles coffee, and then further dilutes the living daylight out of it with water. You end up with brown water that an advanced lab could possibly trace coffee flavor in. AKA “why the h*** bother?” Otherwise the content is awesome 😂
I assumed the bacon was from one of the local smokehouses. Looked good. This video was a good one. Looked like a good spot, even if it was a little sloped.
Do you realize how silly you look in those boots. I use to play amateur tennis and by 7:30am , after warming up would strip down down to a tennis shirt.

I have to ask...what was the tea you were making?
Love your videos! What is the song's name at the end of each video?
I am hypnotized by your channel. This is how we should live. Thank you for sharing.

That's a great idea to take the coals to a "mini" spot to cook on.......I'll remember that my next trip in the PNW

I like the echo sound in the woods when you're chopping firewood.

It must be wonderful to be that free to roam the great outdoors!
Enjoyed you video, hope you have a terrific holiday season. Stay warm!
Beautiful area.such a simpler life style. Keep up the great work
Peaceful and relaxing.
Love the Fiskars axe. Whatever they do to dampen the blow/vibration is appreciated by my aging shoulders.
Mr. Jason, looks so beautiful and surreal. Peaceful and relaxing. Love the content. Thank you for sharing and God Bless you and your family. 🥰👍👍👍👍👍(🌹🐞🦂🌵)

So many factors come in to play with camp fires , climate , ambience , also what your cooking . Great observation though. 👍
Yes, in Australia old timers use very little wood to boil the Billy but city folk would use ten times the amount needed.
He wasn't just cooking.
He also wants a camp fire at night to sit by.
@@BruceDavidKellockof course, each situation is different 😊

Is that Mount Hood? Mount Hood national forest area? It's awesome. Cheers from Toledo.
Awesome video
well you just got a subscriber❤
Swedish fire log. One piece of wood will cook a three course meal.
Those boots would be a hit at boy's town in Chicago
Hey Jason can you get some shirts and hoodies made? Would love to buy one.
Great video. Try out the X7 for a month or 2 and look into Hardcore hammer's hatchets USA made.
What kind of water filter system do you have in the van?
Beautiful video! How is the pine needle tea? I'll have to try that sometime. The spring box was a neat find.
Its really not that bad, and free if your in a pine forest🤣.
Jason
👍👍👍
At what point does bacon become slices of ham?
What state are you in? What month is this video?
Dang I’m late to the party, can’t figure out why your van camping channel doesn’t show up in my notifications.
Question do you really like the wood stove in your van. Seems very impractical. A diesel heater seems to be a better fit. I am building a camper and wonder if I should consider a wood stove.
I kinda like the wood stove. I actually like his whole setup.
I love my diesel heater, but Theres nothing to break on a wood stove.

Woodburners are king.
@ thanks not sure if I could fit a wood burner in my set up but I will be thinking about it after your reply back to me thanks again.
I just answered this question on my other channel here is a link.

I know you can't say exactly where it is. I live in central Wa and this looks similar. Care to comment on what part of what state it is?

That's stupid!!!!!
@ it’s humor. Apparently you have none.

Google cowboy coffee.
Might calm you down.
I'm with you bud....I had my first good cup of coffee in Costa Rica...and it was freshly ground beans and made strong...real black...woke me up

Working men don't wear boots for a fashion statement, but I'm sure you look great in your tennis shoes😂
Good view!
