Ten years ago the internet arrived here in the rural area where I live. And all of The Animals videos were new to me. Now when I see them I remember my joy at being able to see Eric singing without it being on the radio.
Eric Burdon, nice young innocent New Castle Boy, he is now 80 years, I am a bit younger 71.He lived as a boy in New Castle, I in Zwolle Netherlands. It was the time of upcoming Rock and Roll which changed the whole society afterwards, good or bad, thats up to you.When I hear this Guy we look to an innocent group of Freudian Choir Boys..For that time the animals were pretty good.Later on it was drugs,alcohol, and Rock and Roll with the Stones etc, but Burdon did have a strong Body, and he was clever enough not to push the button of self destruction like Jimmy Hendrikx and many others. Chas Chandler died young, he did have an heart disease, a clever business man, John Steel is still alive, Hilton Valentine died, the others I dont know.For me, its nostalgy.Burdon lives in Calfornia with his wife Marianna Proestou. Nice couple.hope they enjoy the years which are left.God bless you friends.

Hilton Valentine died in Januari 2021.Burdon saw it as a great loss.Problably Valentine was the most faithfull also towards Burdon in later years.Understand that Burdon who enjoyed so many moments with Hilton took away some tears. He wished Valentine Rock in Peace.Time is going on, after us new generations will arise, but what stays is God who will bring an Everlasting Kingdom.
alan Price and John Steel are still alive also -Alan was one of the greatest organ players to come out of 1964---they should have been allowed to play live
