We just installed one of these bad boys on my buddy’s new 7600x and 38C on idle is amazing, as well as 86C max on cinebench. After some PBO settings, temps don’t go above 63C. GREAT cooler!
I love that Deep Cool is trying to clean up their aesthetics. I like that Noctua has real competition now. We finally have a handful of coolers that perform similar to the D15 at half the price with better component clearance
No RGB....tick. Excellent cooling....tick. Easy to install even for a Northern knuckle-dragger......tick. Well, thats me sold ! Great looking cooler and a great performing one too judging by those GRAPHS ! Thanks for sharing, Mike and Kath. Great bit of kit this.
@@dorientjewoller113 I agree some of the taller RAM modules may struggle to fit under the fans but there should be a little bit of give to move the fan up a little bit should it be needed. Still a very decent cooler though if you can get it at a decent price :-)
I remember when I meet the channel, I asked to you that between Gammaxx 400 or Hyper 212 which one I should choose. You told me "Go for Gammaxx 400". I have no complains with DeepCool this this far. This AK620 looks massive! and handle very well temps. Way to go, DeepCool! Thank you very much, Mike and Kath!
Deep Cool coming out swinging with their recent cpu coolers cooling performance, pricing and design aesthetics 🤩🤯🥰👍! They were a bit meh only 2yrs ago, but lately have been upping the ante quite a bit. Another great product review Mike 😇🤩👍🥰. Another reason my wallets looking a bit empty 🕸🕸🪰🪰🦋💸💸
Excellent, video. This is a great cooler, until recently I have been using this with an i9 12900K and with some BIOS tinkering (undervolting and reduced power limits) it does a decent job, my main point is considering how hot the 12900k is, im sure it will be able to cool any other CPU ... (i think you mentioned that anyway :D).
yes that is pretty much it, this cooler will tame most CPUs but some like your 12900 and the 5800x do still give it a real challenge, but for the other 99% of processors this is more than enough
Nice, I decided to get one of these for my new system in a few months to a year unless something replaces this cooler. I am either going for a 13900/700 or a 7800x3d etc
It would help if I knew the airflow direction. Don't want to blow hot air into the case. I'm going to be running two NVIDIA 4090s, both air cooled. Having an electrician wire me a dedicated 20 amp circuit. This bad boy will be running 1,275 watts at full power on a 1500 watt power supply! 🙂
Awesome review Mike, thank you very much for the great content! Would you prefer buying AK620 or Assassin III if you can get both at 55 pounds, please?
The ak620 1700 mounting brackets are weak, specifically the stamped in place screws in the bracket. I had a screw snap from the bracket while PC was in use. There was no damage except to the mounting bracket, but I won't use any of Deepcool's newest coolers until the strengthen their 1700 brackets including their AIOs that use the same brackets. The screw head could have caused damage to the motherboard if I were unlucky and the metal would have bridged transistors or caps. The Peerless assassin 120 has similar performance and similar screw mounting, but the brackets are much stronger. Coincidentally, the AK620 will fit on the Peerless Assassin's 1700 mounting brackets.
what are you using the PC for ? for gaming the 5800 is more than enough, for multi tasking and video editing work etc the 5900x might be the better choice
Hello, great video. May I ask, I’m torn between this and the veltroo v5 and arctic I35 RGB. It will be used for an 11700k. Are all three capable of cooling it or would I be best going with the AK620? Great presentation and review. Thank you.
Just bought AG 620 for 5800x3d. Can’t find much from all you big RUclipsrs on the AG version. Curious if it’s basically same thing but added rgb. Cuz it’s cheaper
@@mikesunboxing ok thanks for the reply. Using deepcool gammax rgb right now and it’s staying in 60’s while gaming so maybe I don’t need 620. Maybe cuz my case lancool 216 is such good airflow
I had to replace a mother board and forgot to note the direction of the 2 fans cooling a Ryzen 5800X. Are they better pushing against each other (with air evacuating through the vanes) or pumping in the same direction in a sort of cooling " tunnel"?
reason why it is good is that the 6 pipe will extract the heat quickly from the cpu ,specially and obvious from overclocking your cpu not a bad cooler to be honest.
i dont get why more companies dont offset the cooler to the left like Scythe does with the Fuma and Mugen. maybe not as much as their offset, but a little bit
No RGB isn't a problem. You can always replace the fan with a RGB version. I have dozens of them in a box. Of course, most of them have the RGB cable cut off, because who needs that crap. 🤣

Just ordered this sealed new off eBay, so excited!
it is a pretty good cooler
Hi Mike and thanks for the review, I like the minimalistic cube look without any RGB but your 24 pin cable really sets it off.
Yes it does! for a non rgb cooler it looked great with a rgb backdrop

yeah the 400 is still a beast for the money and has recently been seen around these parts for £17 which is amazing in the current climate
Thank you brother. I'm from Russia. According to your reviews, I bought myself an msi b550 gaming plus and an AK620 tower. Everything is great!
Enjoy! great combo!
Just fitted mine yesterday to my new 5800x3d very happy. Havnt even undervolted it yet and it's cooling good.
glad to hear it, great cooler
Looks a well designed cooler just like the single fan version. Easy to fit, efficient what more cud you want. Thanks for sharing Mike and Kath👍

Hi. How much does this weigh? Have you checked with a scale, deepcool says 1.4kg but I doubt it as NH D15 is bigger and yet lighter.
that sounds about right to me
Would of love the temps if removing front fan to clear ram area and also having fan on back if there is much temp diff between push pull
