Hey guys! Thanks for checking out this video, quick note: I misspoke and said the sub was a 10W3 in the video, but it's a 10W1v3. Which makes the bass output even more impressive being as this sub is running on its rated power of 300 watts RMS. Thanks again for tuning in!
Mark what should i do for my 95' Hyundai Scoupe, i only have dash corner speakers and rear deak speakers but want a SQ build. My doors don't have factory speakers nor cutouts for them
I didn't think a sealed box that small could even handle 200w RMS, let alone 300...? Does it depend on the suspension of the sub...?
@caraudiofabrication I have a question, if you could please answer that would be great. I would like to add after market speakers to my car. I have 2 dash speakers, 2 front door speakers and 2 rear deck speakers. Is it possible to run the door and rear deck speakers on an after market amp. but run the dash speakers on my factory amp. The dash speakers I plan on running only have an RMS of 15w. Im asking this because I currently have a 2 channel amp that I would like to use so I dont have to spend the extra money.
@@youngmanlee6022You can do that but I strongly not reccomend that and here is why. Being that your dash speakers would only have 15 watts of power means that those speakers will max out long before the speakers that are hooked up to the external amplifier. You will risk blowing those dash speakers. In my opinion I would wait and buy a 4 or 6 channel amplifier. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions bro.
@@Brian1. Thanks for the help man. Ive been doing a lot of research and I now feel getting an amp with more channels is the way to go. 15 watt speakers are pointless also lolol
I’ve installed 2 JL Audio Stealthboxes, one for ea of my cars. They are a phenomenally simple yet effective way to add some serious bass to an OEM-like install. Can’t say enough good things about them.

I have the jl stealthbox - 2 10's in my Tacoma. I don't think a set of 10 inch speakers could get any better. They freaking pound so hard! Any type of music they are perfect.
JL Audio makes great sounding subwoofers.

Question, I have one of these factory enclosures and will be updating the actual sub with a kicker RT 1ohm run at 2 ohms to match the factory amp and installed back into the factory enclosure . There is no Stealth box option so going with stock stuff now on my 2020 Honda Ridgeline RTL-E. My actual question is should I put poly fill in the factory enclosure, and would there be a benefit to wrapping the enclose in dynamat in whole or part?

A question on speakers in general. If everything else remains the same, will better quality speakers improve a systems sound? I have a premium sound system option in my car where I can see the speakers are 'meh' but it sounds pretty good...
I have a 2004 Cadillac XLR with the 9 speaker Bose system that consists of 10” woofers in each door, 3” full range for the left, center, and right channels in the dash, and tweeters on both sides of each headrest.
The previous owner replaced the head unit with an aftermarket Pioneer.
My biggest problem is that the sound cuts out just as I start reaching an enjoyable volume.
I think they’re running everything off the internal amp of the head unit and it’s clipping.
Any ideas?

I had a jl stealthbox in my ram pickup (back around the turn of the century) 12w3v2d2 and a jbl bp600.1.... expensive but super nice product
TBH...in my 2014 FX4, I replaced the stock amp with a Maestro and a DD 500.5. Stock speakers and sub sounded great until the sub stopped subbing about a month in. Replaced it with a Kicker shallow mount truck sub, filled the holes and added fill. Not gonna win many contests but YYZ by Rush is alive again.
Damn! I thought that sub was going to be their slim sub when you pulled it out but it was a full size woofer with a huge magnet! Didnt expect that
Some of the Stealthboxes use the slim subs, thats what's cool, instead of just using one common sub across the board they use whatever makes the most sense for the air volume size available.
Was this done with the factory amp to per that sub, or was an aftermarket used to power the sub?
This guys is a master on anything car audio
I just ordered a JL stealth box for my 2010 GMC Sierra Ext cab. I hope the 2 10w1v3 subs sound good. I’ll be running them off a conservatively rated 600 watt Alpine amp. Should be clean. I had a 12w0 in a large sealed box to get them deep lows. I don’t care about loud as much as I do about frequency range. I like my bass deep. Unfortunately room is a hot commodity so hopefully JL audios tuned enclosure will really help me get the most out of the space I have available. Always loved JL.
i threw the oem pioneer amp into the exquinox (moms car) and it enabled the sub... huge difference!

Refrize that sating the stock in my honda si is amzing i was Blowin away and yes if u want a upgrade i well choose sundown running a amp of course to boost it up but thats it

JL Audio makes by far the BEST subwoofers on the market. Best meaning, reliability, sound quality, cost, engineering, and aesthetics.
I have a 2008 Pontiac Torrent two factory subwoofer boxes and subs. Does anyone know if just upgrading the speakers but using the same subwoofer boxes will make a difference?

Did you lose the "ANC" function of your terrain after installing this subwoofer? I believe if you go with a dual voice oil subwoofer it will remain intact.
I just purchased a stealth box. I am thinking that in the future I would like to add a second sub. My questions are: 1. If I put another sub in a separate enclosure directly across from the other on the opposite side of my cargo area will the 2 subs cancel each other out?
2. If I wire the 2 sub enclosures in parallel from one amp will that cause me issues?

I have a 2020 Chevy Equinox, I watched your video of you build in your father Equinox and ive been trying to find aftermarket speaker harness' for my 3.5inch dash speakers so I can hook up a aftermarket speakers and also possibly a converter to get an RCA hook up for my Amplifier....

I cannot find this stealth box for the 2005 honda pilot factory sub replacement, ANYWHERE! Ive went to several different sites and nothing. Other makes and models of vehicles, yes, but not my 2005 pilot with the rear factory sub.. looks like im going with dynamt, insulation, and skar audio 10in😅

I like and enjoy your videos and I try not to miss any of them. One thing I have come to see though is that 99% of what you do and how you do it is simply not possible for 90% of us folks in this current environment. I am still using all of the equipment that I had almost 15 years ago. My son and I have a pair of Ford Mustangs and we love car audio but I just got my daughter through College and my son still has two years to go. I am 100% disabled as well. The sad truth is that most of us simply can’t afford all the cool things you do here. Your videos are becoming increasingly more and more “high end” and it leaves many of us sitting here and dreaming and wishing. It would be nice to see you get back to your roots, where you started and actually do some things that us poor broke folks can actually afford to do.
Please understand. I love your videos and I am a diehard fan. Sadly though, all I can afford to do is be that kid at Christmas looking at all of the toys through a giant window at Macy’s. We can’t afford Crutchfield and Audio Control, JL Audio, etc. Keep doing what you do sir but don’t forget us little guys that have to make do with the flea market stuff.
You hit the nail on the head! I actually forgot about this channel for a while. I started watching it again recently, and while it is entertaining to see a master work at his craft, I always feel a tad bit disappointed because I'll never be able to use the advanced methods he uses (custom fiberglass, making custom components with a router)

I've never had one before, definitely impressed. Hard to justify spending days fiberglassing when you can just get this loaded with a sub. They have quite a few different options too.
