@@CarAudioFabrication I have watched some of your videos. Very good! I am sure your dad has been loving that system! :-) Did you just use 2-way coaxial speakers in the back? TIA. My speakers are bad and I am trying to upgrade. I was thinking 2-way component in the front and 2-way coaxials in the rear. BTW, I used one of your codes at Crutchfield but I have not bought anything. But, TY (and them) if if do!
I decided to open a car audio shop after seven years working for Best Buy (5 yrs) and a custom stereo shop (2yrs). Three days after the store opened, my Dad passed from a heart attack at 57. Not a day goes by without me thinking of him and wished he was here to see what we've done. So cool to see you do this for your Dad. Give him a hug and be thankful he's still here with you.
oh man.. your dad really knows his audio.. his initial reaction was too good.. i was smiling the whole time through.. he's such a sweet and funny person.. say hi to him from me and even i envy him now.. hope he thinks and stays young forever.. great build as always!
....Pal, you probably don't know how lucky you are to have a father like him. And he did a great job raising you. I'm more jealous of your relationship than I am of your beautiful sound system!
I have missed this video, and there's so many reasons for giving this a thumbs up. The main is the fact that it's you dads car! "Family first"! Great build, and thank both of you for sharing!
This was a fantastic and informative build. You're a lucky man to have your dad around still. My parents were always involved in my hobbies and occasionally showed up to car shows and sound challenge events. My dad got in a SPL vehicle we built and was watching The Matrix scene when they rescued Morpheus. The gatling gun muzzle concussions, the cascade of shells, and the helicopter rotor sounds were an aural overload. He looked like a kid having the best time. I miss those days and I miss my dad, But I have those memories.
So awesome you did that for your dad! Enjoy him while you got him! You will miss them like crazy when they are gone!! Great job dude!! Keep up the good work! I think you made him so proud!
Insanity. Best son ever. I'm 40. Been a home and car audio enthusiast for over 20 years. It makes me so happy to so the progressive ways of installing and the functionality of it all.
Thanks for putting your dad on there, Mark. Totally enjoyed that part along with the education of other videos of yours coming together for a final product and documented end-user impression. Great series. You've got me excited about turning this factory garbage into a good experience one day. Again, enjoyed the video with your dad.
Being able to give him that smile with his daily driver is a great thing. The quality components are definitely used appropriately in a professional way. I've really enjoyed watching this build so far. I still have to watch the A Pillar build but one thing is for certain: I now want a router for these types of tasks. It's really challenging to fit so many components into a smaller space and I am currently doing an install in my 2015 Kia Soul. My previous vehicle was a 2010 CRV and it had much more space to mount amps, hide wiring, and cargo space to accept some larger items. I really liked having dual batteries (one under hood and one in the rear) for cold winter starts and high current draw situations. Finding space in the Soul is certainly challenging. This entire series has been very helpful in hopefully decreasing personal mistakes and doing it right the first time. I found the sound treatment video especially informative. Keep up the great work. I wish I could hear Another Brick In The Wall in that install!
Your old man is such an...old man! And before anyone takes that as a slam, I wholly embrace the transitions we all face as we age. Lots of wisdom & knowledge right there that needs to be respected by the previous generations. Awesome video.
Ah finally someone who understands actual audio quality and isn't just cranking the bass up and screaming THIS IS WHAT REAL SOUND STAGING IS, bravo lad sounded amazing and even better you did it for your dad
Your father seems to be so proud, impressed, and awestruck at how good the build turned out to be! It's a strong positive reaction to your work quality and the quality of the components. I love how he said that it's exactly the way he envisioned it to be. Outstanding execution on the build! A+!
What a great gift for dad! You can really tell his appreciation with the way he lit up throughout the video, especially when he saw the sponsor plate in the back. My dad is who I can thank for getting me into audio and I'd love to do something like that for him! Great content, as always. I'm sure he'll treasure that every time he steps up to his car.
It’s a Blessing to have your dad still living and be able to bless him with your audio skills also dad must be very proud of you. If I had a son I will like it to be just like you. Peace great video. 👍
That is what I call an early Father's Day present! The gift of sound quality it a daily driven vehicle is a fully cherished one! Great work as usual! Cheers!
I lost it when I saw the surprise CAF plaque for your dad. I’m working on a new build right now and damn I wish I had my dad still here to spend time with him working on the truck. Cherish every moment with your dad, he seems like an ultra cool dude.
This makes me happy to see you and your dad enjoying music together lol music I feel brings out emotion well I just lost my father a year ago he was only 57 but if he was alive I would be doing this for him Keep on enjoying the Music & each other bro!
This is a very encompassing video. From the interaction and appreciation from father to son, to the support of these companies thru sponsorship, this is just awesome. Great to see these large companies intervene and support to provide an experience for a family member, truly awesome.
1. I'm really wanting JL now. 2. Good to hear your dad noticed the difference without being told what to say 3. I wish I had done something like this with my dad before he passed .
You are a very good man looking after your Dad and keeping him happy. God will bless u. I miss my dad if he was alive would have given him the best sounding Speaker system for his home. Good work all sponsoreres loved the last part too. Very very nice indeed
This is so awesome. Thank you for taking us on this ride. I’ve seen a few of the new JLs in high end Sema builds. I can only imagine owning them. The build quality is A1+
Hi Mark. Amazing factory looking install. Those A pillars look perfect for the vehicle. Probably my personal favourite of all of your builds. Very nice equipment and material usage. Your dad had " proud" written all over his face.
Thank you for sharing. Been out of stereo installs for about 20 years. Things have changed and I am trying to do an install. Happy you are making these videos. Good ideas.
Sounds like dad is thinking of changing the color of the car now, you got a great channel and some good skills in these builds. Well done on this one man alot of work goes into these builds, did it right
This vid is so cool mark! Being able to do this with your dad has got to be just a tremendous feeling. I could only wish to be able to do something like this with my dad. You are just amazing
Nice one Mark !! Special indeed and well done to your sponsors. Your Dad may be your easiest client to please, but for you I imagine, he would have been the one you wanted you impress the most #NoPressure 😁
That's awesome! Im so jealous hahaha! I can only buy 1 JL Audio C7 driver at a time till i have everything i need for my build. But i loved hearing your dad's input on the speakers. Thank you so much for sharing Mark😁👌
AWESOME work, and gift for your father brotha! One of the best feelings in the world when you do something for someone close and they truly appreciate it. And yeah, dad’s def an audiophile! 😂
That description plate in the rear is really cool. What a cool way to add a little more professionalism to it. Even if it wasn't a sponsored vehicle, you can put a little info there about the system, or like a system diagram or something. Very cool. Glad your pops loves his tunes!
Great work bro! Liked what ur pops said about the different frequencies with different instruments. Never really thought of it that way. Makes me wanna go 3-way now. Thanx Pops!😁
I Loved the information on the Install. Being a Audiophile and owning a shop myself, I've always built Sound Quality with stealth design for me personally. I watch and Love all the videos! Keep up the Great work!!
Another great build and it really looks like your dad is over the moon with how it all turned out, from the stealthy fitment to the performance, even though I've got one of the crappiest tablets that you can get , while obviously I can't hear the sound quality I did for a moment get an idea about the depth you must get in hearing it in person, love these builds Mark
Nicely done! You're father will definitely be the envy of his coworkers. Goes to show you don't have to have 1000's of watts to obtain great results, especially in a SQ oriented system. Nice, simple, and clean!
Hooray for you Mark and finally seeing the Daily Driver Build for your Dad. Too bad about the royalty issues. Would have really liked to hear the real music. Glad to see your happy Dad. He’s real happy with it and I can empathize with him on road trip issues and the importance of sounds on the road. It’s a good video and looking forward to the next!
Thanks!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate your support!

"You don't hear the sound coming from the speakers, It's just in the vehicle" - Best compliment you could ever get as an installer/system designer.
You can tell the quality of a man, by how his children treat him.
You have done your father proud.
All of this , Respect
Sounds like pops is an audiophile, he's got the vocabulary to really describe why the system sounds so good! Glad he's happy with it

Dads gonna be bumping when he goes to meet up with the other boomers at the early AM McDonald's hangouts

😂
Nothing like the reaction of someone hearing their system for the first time after a big build! Enjoyed the journey and the payoff. Well done Mark 🤟🏼
oh man.. your dad really knows his audio.. his initial reaction was too good.. i was smiling the whole time through.. he's such a sweet and funny person.. say hi to him from me and even i envy him now.. hope he thinks and stays young forever.. great build as always!
Very cool that your dad appreciates a good SQ build. You put a lot of work into it!

This was a really great video. I enjoyed seeing the entire walk through. Dads daily driver came out fantastic.
Very cool of you doing this for your pops. You can tell he’s very grateful and proud of his son. Well done sir!
Am I the only one who likes Mark’s videos before watching it? Awesome quality, planned and always something learned!
Me too. Mark is the only youtuber that I like-before-watch, he's earned it. He always has amazing content.
I have missed this video, and there's so many reasons for giving this a thumbs up. The main is the fact that it's you dads car! "Family first"!
Great build, and thank both of you for sharing!
Loved this! I wish you made a video talking through the tuning process. Crossover points, time delays all that stuff!
