Is a tune required after this install?
HAHAHAHAHA
Let’s not forget to car wash the inside of the car after the install
LOL
Use the ots tune for this. Stage 2 +
It's an STI so yes
I purchased this after watching this video a few weeks ago. Super easy install and it looks/feels a lot better.
always have a rubber to protect your button 😂😂😂
A simple, cheap plastic strap wrench worked beautifully for getting the button off without damaging it.
Those look really nice.
nice videos guys,Im lokking for buy a new sti 2016 and I wash all your videos so when I get one I know how to modified my subaru thanks.
Great review, appreciate the diy!
love u guys vids....
Great video as always. Seems like you guys really like the Ashiko knob for both cars. Any reason why you guys chose that one over the Slammer or other Raceseng knobs?
+tysj Just depends on who picks the knob for the car. Some guys like the Ashiko others like the Slammer and etc.
Anybody know if this set up would work on a 2015 forester? Looks very similar.
Do you need to remove the handle to unscrew the e-brake button or can you just leave it on and screw in the new one? BTW love you guys 🖖
Button can be removed without removing the handle.
Which shift knob is the red one in this video?
Did you guys use a drift button? (Wrong term) one that doesn't need to be constantly pressed down to make drifting better? Or just a certain style?
I was hoping this defeated the button spring.
@@lightfighter540 so you can rip on the parking brake without holding the button and grenade your center diff? Yeah good luck with that lol its a parking brake, not an e-brake
Will the Perrin e brake button fit the OLM carbon e brake?
After I did mine yesterday it didn’t want to click anymore it takes afew tries now to get to click and the button is super stiff
random question. the bezel that includes the shift knob boot. i found one for sale online, will that fit in the 2015 wrx? i looked at the diagram and it looks like they are the same piece just a different design. i just like the look of that piece in the sti better than the one in the wrx.
is there a video of the mode button the sports and sports Sharpe button cuz I need it lol
I got that ebrake handle 5 years ago and its been total garbage. The set screws are in plastic, unthreaded to boot.. over time ( a couple months) they loosenand the handle gets loose. Ive had to retighten it probably 8 times in 5 years. Its the only mod on my wrx that has required maintenance.
i just got a hyper blue sti
can u guys do something like what exterior/interior accessories would match the car color. thanks
+Tee Tran Due to its very limited production run the only color matched items we have is bumper plugs.
Me gusta lo cambiare 👍
does this carbon fiber e brake handle good for the 2015 ForesterXT ?
Would this fit on a 2015 civic si?
Is that compatible with the 2011 STi Sedan Handbrake ??? Thx
You guys have been in both the WRX and the BRZ, would those handle covers be interchangeable?
Yes they are.
Would it fit in a Gc8?
So since I live in an apartment, I don't have an outlet by my car for the heat gun and I think cordless heat guns are pretty expensive. Any recommendations?
+Eric Lee A heat gun makes it easier but it isn't impossible without it. I would recommend using a small sized lid opener (i.ebayimg.com/images/i/231411340712-0-1/s-l1000.jpg) to assist in twisting the handle. You may or may not be able to twist it off with just your hands.
i just did the e brake swap like this and no my e brake wont pull up properly, it wont click everytime like before, it takes a few tries, the cable nut is completely tight, i dont know what else to look for, i did it just like this, just pulled off the rubber one and put on the carbon one, can anyone tell me what this could be?
The button isn't set properly, had the same issue with mine and finally got the release button in the right spot and no issues now
Mine doesn’t even fit my 15 STI smh
shit i dont know what to do....when doing the install the L rod came out and dont konw how to put it back in

will this work on 2011-2014 sti
why wouldn't it?
Why is it called an 'E' brake?
In Australia and UK we call it hand brake or park brake!
Emergency brake, the main transmission of choice in the US is auto so the brake is only used in cases of emergency when the brakes go out.
Anybody try this on an impreza? will it work?
Can anybody confirm fitment on a Subaru WRX 2011-2014?
I second that^^
really? 214? jeez everything and anything for this car is 150++
dont see any reason why that ebrake is lifted so high
I've never heard someone say button so weird.
hot asian alert
Say this handle causes cancer
