this show is at the top of my most memorable. I was not even a Rage fan at the time (mainly cause I had never seen them yet) and I have seen a lot of shows. But will never forget when they started playing. all the people that were lounging around on there blankets behind the front area that usually has a few enthusiastic people. well they all stood up...and far beyond that the pit and pogo and complete mayhem that swept through the crowd was something to only be experienced. to people that only see shows through the camera and you tube have no idea the energy that was there and the ground was actually shaking like the were a bunch of earth movers at a construction site. over 100,000 people jumping and thrashing about like the whole place was the front row or pit. truly an awesome day. and it wasn't even the night yet....and that is usually when the best happens....But Rage was on fire that day in the city(SF). fukkin awesome man. aloha..! :-) :-)

I was there, too. I was a rage fan and I was so excited to see them. I was also really looking forward to seeing Sonic Youth, but we got lost on the way there. I got to hear them during the hike down to the fields. They literally said "Thank you, have a good night" as I was handing my ticket to the usher. But Rage, man, they fucking destroyed. It was magical. I was a 140 lb. 5'5" 15 y.o. kid, but I was a maniac and was in the pit the ENTIRE fucking time...aside from the times I was up surfing. There were two massive body-builder looking dudes in the pit, one black and the other white. These dudes would clear the pit...except for me, who served as their pinball. LOL. I don't know how I didn't break into several pieces in that pit. This was one of the best shows I've ever been to. And yes, the ground was certainly shaking.

We weren’t even up front. Pits erupted everywhere. We would back out of one, thought we were safe, and would then back right into another one! It was crazy, but awesome!

This was one of the greatest shows I have ever been to. I was a 5"2", 140 lb. ball of energy that moshed through the entire set. I remember there were two really big dudes that looked like body builders in the pit (one white guy with long blonde hair and one black guy with a shaved head). They would clear the pit, but I never left, they would just knock me around like a pin ball and I loved it. They would bounce me into the edge of the pit and the people would launch me right back at these guys. I would be broken to bits after 30 seconds of this nowadays. WOW! This is one of my fondest memories. I am now 38 and come back to this video every so often to reminisce. I could be watching this at the moment I die and be happy.

I'll never forget the very first time I heard "Bulls On Parade" and immediately loving the song. But the part that's been permanently burned into my brain is Tom's guitar solo! His playing and tone are completely his own but the fact he turned his guitar into a turntable is/was absolutely incredible. I literally smacked myself to make sure that my 13yr old self wasn't hallucinating lol

Watched this by the MTV camera station on mushrooms, on my 14th birthday. Oh and as a musician, this audio/video is either horribly lined up, dudes drum cymbals aren't mic'd good (which doesn't add up cause I hear the crash just fine when he hits it, only nothing when he visually does🤔) or this audio is phony belongs to other live shows, or hell maybe even the actual recordings (they definitely do sound that good live💯)
