I wish id watch this b4 i start riding a few months ago, my right shin is completely destroyed now, almost to the bone in one case. If it wasnt for covid id have probably gone to hospital lol. 4 months later, its still not healed
Wear you equipment everywhere, at least a helmet. Last Sunday I fell dropping a bowl of 4 feet high and hit my head on the ground. The coping was a bit high and my bike simply stopped there and throw me down.
I switched from the Shadow Classic helmet to the S-1 Lifer, mostly because there was no availability on the Shadow helmets. Sofar, I'm liking the lifer quite a bit more. I think I'm going to stick with the brand.
That was the other helmet I thought about getting too! The one I tried on was super comfy but totally forgot about it before getting the triple 8....haha
@@Brant_Moore i did really like the Shadow helmet. The lifer just feels a little bit more snug to my dome. I did write off the pads on the shadow helmet after they disintegrated from all the sweat i produce. I was just gonna buy new pads before i discovered a crack in the liner. Have to run a new lid when i saw that. Cracks always means that the integrity of the helmet is now compromised, and there was no guarantee that it would protect my head on the next slam. It did a good job for two years, and a dozen real nasty slams.
They say you should actually replace it after the first bad impact. But yea I’ve heard good things about the shadow helmet. But they don’t make it in lime green...haha
Okay, so this may be older now, but I am experiencing an issue. I am looking for little dude armour basically. My guy is 5. I have knee shin ankle combo's from fuse that work well enough and a pro-tec helmet. For him, I am having a hard time finding a set of pads that could potentially fit under his cloths or that are just more comfortable. Any suggestions on pads that go that small?
Great video. I’m 44 going on 45 and even though I’m not riding as much as I like I still wear my safety gear but I wear a full face religiously.
It just makes sense! And thank you!
Seems like all the really good riders at our park wear the gear. I can take a hint.
Vibing out to the chill music lol
Thanks Brant!
Thank you for being here Chief!!!
@@Brant_Moore Thank you for your wisdom
Nice helmet 😋
It’s comfortable, that’s for sure!!
Kali Protectives offers free crash replacement and amazing customer service though 🤷♂️. I’d give them another shot.
Leatt pro gear is the best and love the bell helmets, that’s what I’m equipping
What all does leatt make for bmx?

Ah man that’s such a bummer to hear!! I hope it heals ASAP!
Iv done the same thing on bear trap pedals.......look em up.....15 years later and my scars are still narly.
What helmet would you suggest for someone with glasses? I've found that the Shadow helmets don't really allow me to wear my glasses
I feel like a full cut helmet would be help and that the parts that go over the ears would help hold the glasses in place
@@Brant_Moore Much appreciated, I'll keep my eyes open for one while I'm at different shops.

Dude thank you for using pads! That is one thing that bothered me about your riding. THank younfor the change. I Get to watch you ride longer.#100k
I’ve always worn pads. Haha

@@Brant_Moore you're 100% correct, but that would mean like 5 grand a year on helmets alone for me, lol
