Nothing more fun than a bite size toolbox. Thanks for the review. I wasn't even aware these were available. It's a great box to store HF receipts in. 😀
Honestly this would probably be the best box for electronic projects. Fits a few crimpers and cutters, a couple sets of connectors, wires, zip ties, etc. Small enough to take with you. Too bad we don't have Harbor Freight over here.
I got my mom one of these, and painted it purple for her, and she absolutely loves it! She makes jewelry and uses a lot of very small tools, like tiny files and special pliers for bending wire, she would misplace things, they would roll off her desk, etc, I went back the next day and bought another for my father and one for me. I also had a mini tool box when I was a kid yhat my dad or brother gave me, it was perfect for me at the time. I had a couple wrenches and screwdrivers they gave me and they filled it up. I thought I was so legit with it. I idolized my brother growing up. I used to have a red wagon that I lifted with little spacers between the basket and wheel assemblies, used to put my bicycle in it tying it down with ratchet straps. I pretended it was my dirt bike and I was transporting my "dirt bike" in my red "trailer" just like my brother did with his bike and trailer. Those were the days. My brother gave me a red Craftsman double stack tool box that he used until he got a bigger one. I thought I was badass with that tool box. Cleaned and organized it every day thinking I was a legit mechanic working on my bicycle "dirt bike" and my lifted red wagon "trailer" 😂
I have the Kobalt mini one and honestly wish I knew this had been coming down the line, it's cheaper and looks better built. But I do enjoy it I keep it on top my toolbox and store things like valve stem caps glad hand seals and inspection stickers. Basically anything I don't care if others take since it don't lock.

Certain circumstances, yes. I look at it as how often am I going to use whatever tool. If I use that tool daily then how many times will I have to replace it before the cost of however many replacements equals the price of buying a good one. Id rather buy a tool once than have to deal with the inconvenience of having to replace which the cheap tool would break at the most inconvenient times.
@Berm_Blaster this isnt a tool though,it's a tool box...there isnt really a extreme amount wear on it if you use it once a year or 5 times a day....Ive never been concerned the bottom will fall out of my toolbox or something like that in general....it's not really something that has many breakable moving parts...and even if a tool box breaks....you dont lose access to your tools....the drawer just gets stuck sometimes or something.
Have the 6 drawer rolling cart thing at work. Works decent, durability might be an issue if you have a lot off big heavy tools, works great for the normal stuff
It's a great product. Perfect for tungstens, cups other tig welding odds and ends. Great for plasma cutter consumables. I mean honestly it's useful for a trillion different things in the shop.
