I have one of the backpack sprayers, aside from having to tighten everything up, I had no issues with it. I agree it isnt the most comfortable thing in the world, but after learning how it worked, it worked great.
I’m in the old school “buy once cry once” crowd. If you’re absolutely positively know that it’s a one project and you’re done tool and it’s a light weight job then take a chance on a cheap tool but otherwise you’d be surprised how often you start building up your tool arsenal and how much easier it makes your life.
I'm definitely in the camp of buying the best you can afford. However, I do know that some people have limited budgets and have to buy the low cost options. I have been there. Hey, thanks for watching!
Couldn't agree more on the drill bits. Good for wood & that's it. You have to realize, how could they sell all those drill bits so cheap & still make a profit? They are garbage that's why. Thanks for saving me money on the electrical tape. What does this guy do for a living? I'm new to the channel. I can't believe the size of those tool boxes behind him. especially that green one. Probably hard for me so see into the top shelf they are so high. Does anyone know who made that green tool box? Thanks for making this video, very informative.
I have the 4 gallon sprayer. Got it on sale and thought it was ok for the price. Definitely would’ve gotten a better one after using it for more than 10 mins as your back feels the weight. I like your video style, keep it up!
Not only not buy the electrical tape, you can include ALL tape at HF. Except for the white teflon pipe thread tape i have had good results with. I love HF and have a ton of their tools like you appear to do but there are things to avoid there. The blue batteries are called Thunderbolt Edge.
Thanks for the heads up on the other tape. Harbor Freight is like any store. You have good, bad and everything in-between. I'm like their stuff and have a lot of it. There are a lot of projects I would have never completed if not for HF. Thanks for watching!
The warrior bits saved me just recently! I needed a 7/16 drill bit and that's all I had. Of course it was in wood so no biggy. On the red towels, I soaked them in vinegar, rinsed them in a gallon bucket, once rung out I dried them in the dryer. That helped a lot. I also heard a rumor the recipe has changed and the die bleeding issue is a thing of the past. I have tried it yet but tempted later down the road!
I bought the 115 piece drill bit set off Harbor Freight on a lark for $29.95. I got it just to see how bad it really was. They're M2 black oxide bits. They'll drill mild steel. If you know what you're doing. A hand drill is usually 2,500-3,000 RPM full speed. Full out you can only drill a 3/16ths hole. A bigger bit you have to go slower. That's just reality. Cobalt bits you can be a little stupider but there's limits. If you want to be really effing stupid you'd better use solid tungsten carbide bits. But you're going to be snapping them all the time. Serves ya right.
My 8 year old daughter uses the rotary "trash" tool to drill holes through her rocks. She also uses it to carve figures into wood. Because it is underpowered it's safer than my dremel. It allows me to teach her to use tools but relieves me of the concern over her fingers. ✌️
I've been shopping at HF for a long time and I agree with what you are saying about HF products . They do have some really good products , I bought a Bauer 1/2 " impact and it kicks ass , Their wrenches and sockets are not bad either , they have dif. levels of quality and you can buy tools at a level that fits your needs at a good price.
Do not buy their pitman arm puller or pickle fork ( Pittsburgh) or the bench vises (central forge). You can buy lisle instead as far as the pitman arm tool and pickle fork for reasonable prices for MUCH better quality. I broke two of those vises without any abuse. I’ve bought very old USA made vises from flea markets since I learned my lesson ( Littlestown PA , Wilton, Athol, and Charles Parker) in well used condition, I’ve beaten the living crap out of them and abused them and they just won’t break. I’ve resold some of them over the years and even made a profit on them.
I have had the 5 in. multi-purpose vise from Harbor Freight for decades now. It's the old style being as it is so old. It's OK. It's not the greatest vise in the world but few are.
Drill bits ~ Try drilling through thick metal with a cheap bit, it's a nightmare. Screwdrivers ~ I had a pair a $7 drivers. The chrome flaked off and the flat twisted like a pretzel on it's first use. Batteries ~ they're made out of zinc not alkaline. 100% not worth it Bottle jacks ~ huge safety concern due to poor stability Ramps ~ There's no bracing at the corner. pretty sketchy
Wow!!! You have no idea what you are talking about. The very first idea you called junk was the 29 piece drill bit set. I do 95% woodworking and I purchased this set 18 months ago and except for the 5/64” bit they are all working great! When a bit gets dull I purchased a drill bit sharpening jig on Temu for $2.49 and I attach my drill to it and sharpen the drill bit. Of the 29 drill bits I have sharpened only 3 or 4 in the 18 months I have owned them. By the way, what the hell do you want for $9.93! Go to Home Depot or Lowe’s and one stinking bit costs half of that. I also own that 7 piece wrench set for $14.99. I think it is fantastic for the money. What you forgot to mention when you trashed it is if any of those wrenches break or stop working they have a LIFETIME FREE REPLACEMENT WARRANTY!
I have one of the backpack sprayers, aside from having to tighten everything up, I had no issues with it. I agree it isnt the most comfortable thing in the world, but after learning how it worked, it worked great.
Sounds like you had better luck than me. Thank you for watching!

If it has bearings, a motor, is meant to cut, sand, grind or wire wheel. You can have them.
You wrong about bottle jack. It's life saver. It's just not made for car lifting
Agree it has its uses, just not for lifting cars. The problem is, some folks will buy it to lift a car. Makes me cringe! Thanks for watching.
I remember using them to lift cars as a kid, writing with adults. This was 70s and 80s.
LOL
I bought that warrior drill just to spin tungsten to sharpen them at work

I have a set of the drive on ramps , I agree their sketchy , I use mine instead of dragging the floor jack out but then I use jack stands with them .
Good idea. Thanks for watching.
I don't like those ramps either. I never thought of using jack stands with them. Great idea, thanks.
The Icon plier line is definitely worth buying. They're good quality.
Agree 110% with the backpack sprayer! Absolute garbage.

They work ok on wood...As far as the red rags go, I will still pass. I like the microfiber towels. Thanks for watching!

I'm glad it works for her. Thanks for watching!
Generally I stay away from the bottom tier brands at Harbor freight. I do like the Pittsburgh ratchets though.
Agree. Thanks for watching.

So according to your thumbnail I shouldn't buy certain tool FOR harbor freight?
Artistic license... Thanks for watching.
For electric tape get Scotch 88, nothing else comes close.
Good call! Thanks for watching.
I agree with the Braun light, absolutely trash. 🤦🏻
Pittsburgh line wrenches... don't buy them. The heads flex too much and results in rounded fasteners.
Good to know. Thanks for watching.
I agree with everyone of your choices. 😂
Thank you! Thanks for watching too!
HF means buyer beware!
I don't think I would go that far. They have a lot of good stuff. More good than bad in my opinon.
@@kubiedoesit They have always been that way. I have HF wing nuts that crumble in my hand. I do like the Icon stuff, but HF is a buyer beware.
