And that's with these new "made in China" ones. My grand daddy took an original made in USA one to the steel mill in 1972. He died that day in an accident, and his coffee is still hot to this day.
I bought the cooler per your review. I put in a few 20 oz water bottles and it ran approximately 24 hours set at 35°F in a room set to 74° on two 6 ah batteries. One nice feature is that if the cooler is powered by AC or DC and there is a battery, it will switch over to the Dewalt battery. The external power supply takes priority over the Dewalt battery, it will switch back from battery to AC/DC power. Also, according to the display on the cooler, the batteries only get discharged down to 15 volts.
I have the makita coffee maker and I run it on DeWalt 20V MAX and flexvolt battery . Just buy the battery adapter. I just wish my 8Ah and 10 AH would fit. I do have 15AH flexvolt. just way too big. does fit lawnmower .
Got a really old RED car freezer I bought at a yard sale. Guy said it was used to transport time sensitive "hospital materials". It will freeze water. Runs off 12v and will pull over 15amps when you turn her up to 11. Was great on road trips. Hold over 2 cases of beer with room to spare.
I'll give you a hint about using these fridges. Line the inside with reflectix or something like that and cover it with a blanket keeping the vents clear. If you insulate it well, the battery will last much, much longer. By default, these 12v compressor fridges are very poorly insulated and will run near constantly except in very cold weather when you really don't need the refrigerator. You can also get some of that material they make yard signs from (Corrugated polypropylene) and glue to the CP one of the reflective emergency blankets that kind of look like tin foil, silver side facing the inside. The "van life" people talk about this all the time. Years ago I had one of the peltier device coolers. Totally worthless.
Wrap in dyno Matt , I would just freeze a container of water , or couple ice packs take some load off the compressor, I had the ones back in the day that plugged into cig lighter same like you said poorly insulated light duty and they weren’t cheap back than but nothing was right , now we have internet and partnered with china instead of Japan 😂
ohhh dood ok. Yeah, getting me the coffee pot. I'm like a serious coffee addict. So having this in my truck would just make my day. Not to mention save me a ton of money from buying it from every store I pass. I do have a small 12v fridge though already.
Dude, you look exactly like my little brother!!! You sound nothing like him however. If it wasn't for the voice, I'd swear it was him, lol. Anyway, I always enjoy your content...you're logical, honest and entertaining. 10 out of 10, thanks for playing...there ya go!
My coffee is made by the time i get up in the morning. 12 cups stays hot in my Stanely until i go to bed. I give that a few points for the cool factor but ends up 0 for the deductions of the pre mentioned reasons. There ya go! 👍
At first I thought the separate battery hookup on the coffee maker was silly. Then I thought about it. This thing should not be moved much, and should take up as little space as possible. Then I noticed the screw holes in the battery connector so you could mount it to a wall or something. Decent design, but for a revision I would suggest making the cord two to three times as long, with the option of coiling up underneath the makers base if you want it shorter. That way you have a lot more mounting options. Also, maybe a stationary screw down base that the maker can be easily and repeatedly detached and attached to that holds it firmly during transport, but can be detached to get to the water tank. Those 2 things so you can get to it even if it lives tightly packed on a shelf in a truck or trailer, and you could mount the battery part above or below it.
3:35 I would think this would have a purely resistive load. All it is, is a big resistor turning electricity directly into heat. The pump is called a bubble pump and is just a heat pump with no moving parts.
Your yeti remark was spot on. Some coolers last a week, others will keep soda cool for an afternoon. What will that do on a hot day? It’ll keep lunch cold. My parents had one for their car cig outlet on trips. My dad left it plugged in all night in hotels because it was useless otherwise. I guess they’re better than a tub of melted ice.
The (no-ice) thing is a big selling point for me. Nothing worse than having to zip lock all your food so it doesn’t get waterlogged. It’s getting cool around my way now but I’m curious what this will do on a hot day with 2 good 6Ah batteries. Maybe next summer I’ll sit this outside in the sun and see how it does.
Kudos for not being bought by products! I'd love to see your review of Makita tools, as they're what I use, but buying new stuff when you already have a set of tools just to review them is prohibitively expensive. Thanks for your videos and shorts. They make me laugh and think before I buy.
The cooler is awesome. I've taken it camping for a weekend with 4 or so batteries and lasts me the trip at fridge temperatures. Coffee maker is similar to this, temper your expectations and you'll like it. Fits smaller cups then this one though. Doesn't use pods, uses regular ground coffee.
I just got the fridge myself because of your review and i can confirm that the biggest batteries that will fit is 1 10ah and 1 8ah which this combination will be the 1 that can give you the absolute most runtime. Will not not fit 2 10s. You could also do 1 12ah flexvolt and 1 5ah powerstack. Basically flexvolts fit as long as the other battery is slim. Or you can jus run it off any 1 battery aside from 15ah flexvolt (well you can use the 15ah flexvolt if you leave the battery lid open) hope this helps.
I already have a dewalt fridge lmao. I use a 20v to 12v buck connector and connected it to my ICECO 60L fridge. A 6ah keeps it cold all day with no ice. Perfect for a day to day job site cooler.
Spelling is very important. I looked up "milf coffee ☕️ maker app". Wooah 👀🤯 it was Nothing that you were showing. Haha.. Another great video keep up the Great work. 👍
@@bradley9856 same. It sits up on its battery as it heats up! Most corded ones have the cord stick out of the base so they're a pain to prop up. I'd pay a premium just for a glue gun that doesn't tip over alone, so for $20 bucks it was a no brainier for me. Its definitely not good for the batteries, so maybe that's why DeWalt refuses to make one of their own
Use my makita coffee maker for tea (I'm British 😅)if you dont put coffee in you just get boiling water and I run a alpincool fridge off makita 18v batteries too just need a little 12v regulator
That app is exactly the same as i have i my 75 Litre Frezzer brand car refrigerator. I suspect the same factory pumps out them mobile fridges for 20 different brands. Only colors and brand names vary. Only slight negative thing in my one is that the lid has a little bit of thermal leak.
Makita had a older coffee maker that came with a pot for coffe. I have been looking for one of those for quite a while. There new small one im not a big fan of.
The Makita coffee maker has the battery slot on the side of the coffee maker and it is compatible with the 12v and 18v batteries there is a sliding cover which is also a switch which switches from 12v to 18v whilst blocking the connector for the other battery type. This has a shoddy looking plastic connector dangling on a wire that looks like anything could crush the connector or at the very least damage the wire. I may be seeming biased because I own Makita tools and not DeWalt but I am not the type of guy who drinks hot drinks usually because I can't take the extreme temperature. When it comes to "hot drinks" I usually drink things that have been sitting for a bit and have lost like 30% of the heat As for the "electric cooler" the Makita one is also a warmer and can keep foods hot/warm too AND they have 2 sizes they have the 18v 20L then there is the 40v 20L (which also accepts 18v batteries) and then there is a 50L bad boy which is both 40v and 18v ALSO they have a built in bottle opener in the front and as for the USB ports they are inside the battery compartment which I kind of prefer (having them on the outside and inside would be better) because with them being on the inside the battery compartment which is water and dust resistant you are not likely to damage your phone whilst it charges up ALSO all of these coolers run on a single battery but have 2 slots of each type so that when a battery dies the other will start powering up the cooler and then you can replace the one battery meaning that the cooling/warming never stops unlike this which I assume both batteries may work in parallel. Forget the last part because I think this DeWalt compatible also does that
Totally off topic, but not sure how else to get your attention... would love to see you do a video of your benchtop power supply. What you have, what you like about it, what you would look for if buying a new one.
I considered using my spare Ryobi batteries to run their cooler ($500), but I found buying a cheaper cooler (Bouge RV, 23Qt $200) with a mini portable power station (Refurbished EcoFlow River $300) a more flexible setup. It runs the cooler all day and I can also charge the power station at 800 watts, much faster than Ryobi batteries.
So after watching this video I bought the mellif coffee maker and it lasted a week, or about 9-10 cups of coffee. Is your still working? I contacted the seller on eBay (New) and got an instant refund. She said she just refunded all of them. Like, every one she sold broke.
KEEP that metal UNinsulated cup. You totally want that. Fresh coffee is way too hot most of the time to drink while driving, and the metal will help cool it down. It's perfect for the "ride home" you mentioned. The insulated cups will burn you until you get to your driveway.

Man I wish I was a dewalt guy 😂 do them make a Milwaukee guy , pretty cool , I remember when coolers/warmers came out we could plug into cigarette lighter , just wait the battery technology is going keep getting better ,
I feel like the battery should have gone in the bottom of coffee machine that would significantly help it stand up but they would have to design more than one coffee machine with on the cord like that it makes it super easy to change out battery brands
Pretty cool, i use milwaukee but i have a couple dewalt batterys left an a charger from my hammer drill i lost. This would be a great use for them because i need a fridge that can do batterys while on the job for easy use an able to throw in the dozer to take with me
as far as internet speeds, im really late to the conversation. as silly as it sounds, can I get a reference on that timer you used...I dig it ALMOST as much as these two items in question.
What i would want to see. Say you pick up a not cold six pack at lunch time. Put it in and turn it on with it sitting in the back of your truck on an 80 degree f day. Is it down to beer drinking temp by the end of the work day? That would be 38- 40 degrees f.
Hey brother i was thinking of a content idea for you! Have you ever thought about buying cheap "tool" gadgets from like wish and review them in your regular hilarious style hahaha! I'd love to watch how bad they do under real work tests 🤙🏾🤙🏾
Does it charge the batteries when it is plugged into 12v or 110? Any chance you would run it in the back of your truck for a few days and see if the batteries last all day at a reasonable temp 35~40°F. Just curious to know how well it works in the back of a service truck on a 100° day. Even leaving it plugged in to a switched 12v outlet would be fine, so when you are driving it is running from vehicle power.
Those look like the kind of gadgets that seem great at first but end up collecting dust because a good thermos and an ice chest full of ice work just as good with out spending so much cash. They're only good if they were free. I'd never fork over the cash for any of them. Why carry a coffee maker, two batteries, a charger, coffee, and water when you can just carry a Thermos full of coffee and be done with it? (A thermos can also be used to keep cold things too). I've got a dozen of those portable refrigerators that only sort of work, and those run off the car's battery, not batteries that need to be charged. A bag of ice or a couple of frozen jugs of water in an ice chest works far better.
Im kinda curious.. as a former truck driver in finland, what brand of trucks you drive in the states? We go with local brand rocla and german brand jungheinrich and ofc mitsubishi.. you drive any of these or do you make ur own?
It’s as good as the Keurig. I’ve found the pods will do 12 oz just fine. If you’re going to use it in the house you’re better off getting a cheap K-cup machine that runs on 110 volts.
I expected harsh criticism, I'm disappointed but only cause I'm actually interested in the products. A nice slathering of some Critical judgemental slandering should have been generously applied. Nice work bench and sensors.
Thanks for the review. The cooler/ refrigerator is definitely something im interested in and didnt know existed if not for your video. Got tons of batteries already and of all capacities. I know you said the biggest battery that will fit is 20v 6ah which is the same size as an 8ah. But i was wondering if you thought bout if the 20v 10ah tho that would possibly fit? Its only a tad bigger then the 6 and 8ah but still smaller then a 9 and 12ah flexvolt. Its still a 10 cell battery jus like the 6 and 8. If 10ah will fit i jus think that would be perfect.
When you say it makes 5 coffees, do you mean five 6oz coffees or do you mean 5 double coffees like you made it the video whci I guess would be (10) 6oz coffees?

Nice 👍🏻 I wasn’t sure anyone ever clicked that button 😜
Don't wag your finger at me! Oh we're selling a coffee maker today. 😏
Can Frig take batteries any larger then 5 Ah? Like a couple 12.0 Ah would be great!
6ah are the biggest.
Does the refrigerator come with the batteries?
But can I use 60V flexvolt batteries to make coffee faster?
I don’t think so. It probably will only use 20 volts.
Love this kind of stuff lol
Does it charge the batteries when it is plugged into 12v or 110? Any chance you would run it in the back of your truck for a few days and see if the batteries last all day at a reasonable temp 35~40°F. Just curious to know how well it works in the back of a service truck on a 100° day. Even leaving it plugged in to a switched 12v outlet would be fine, so when you are driving it is running from vehicle power.
It does not but it would be cool if it did.
How does he get in and out of that room? The window?
All the coffee places will go outta business once all the tradies get this stuff
Thanks for measuring in Celsius as well! :)
😁👍🏻 I forget to do that sometimes
Does the cooler charge the batteries when it's plugged in
Those look like the kind of gadgets that seem great at first but end up collecting dust because a good thermos and an ice chest full of ice work just as good with out spending so much cash.
A bag of ice or a couple of frozen jugs of water in an ice chest works far better.
create your own brand item / merch would be so cool ❤❤ we all want to give you money!
you the GOAT!❤❤❤❤❤
And the brand name would be "THERE YOU GO"
My only problem is finding a company that I can trust to not sell crap with my name on it.
Find a kettle for my tea next please funk 😂
Haha They have K-cup for tea 😁
Im kinda curious.. as a former truck driver in finland, what brand of trucks you drive in the states? We go with local brand rocla and german brand jungheinrich and ofc mitsubishi.. you drive any of these or do you make ur own?
We do the same with local brands. Ford and Chevy mostly.
That is awesome
Was the coffee any good? I'm considering a Keurig, and have tried it, but not twice on the same pod.
It’s as good as the Keurig. I’ve found the pods will do 12 oz just fine.
If you’re going to use it in the house you’re better off getting a cheap K-cup machine that runs on 110 volts.
the wheels are for decorative use only
I almost wish the coffee machine had a cigarette lighter plug in as well or the option of the battery
Dewalt master race
Out of curiosity, does that fridge also heat like the Makita?
No it doesn’t. I forgot to mention that 👍🏻
This video would obliterate the mind of a 20th century Italian Aristocrat.
I expected harsh criticism, I'm disappointed but only cause I'm actually interested in the products. A nice slathering of some Critical judgemental slandering should have been generously applied. Nice work bench and sensors.
How much battery was left of the 6.0Ah after the 2 runs of coffee?
About half I guess. 2 out of 3 bars.
@@FunkFPV So probably get about 3 to 4 "runs" on a charge? Seems comparable to the Makita one then.
Thanks!
The biggest I have is 6Ah and according to the product description that’s the biggest. From what I see with 2 6Ah there’s a little room but not much.
When you say it makes 5 coffees, do you mean five 6oz coffees or do you mean 5 double coffees like you made it the video whci I guess would be (10) 6oz coffees?
Laughs in makita coffee maker
God damn. Only 5 cups on a 6ah battery. That thing is pulling some major juice out of the battery.
My math is 15amps. That being said the battery gets hotter from my grinder.
