Years ago I was seeing some girl that had a dog. Her dad was yelling at her to clean up all the dog shit in the yard. He glanced at me and I was smiling. He asked why I was smiling. I told him that he should pick up all the dog shit and place it in a box. Then let it sit outside to freeze. He then can wrap the box in Christmas paper and place a little to:/from: sticker on it. He could then let the thing sit in his unlocked car for someone to steal. He did this laughing the entire time. Two weeks later he called my laughing his ass off. Good idea! I'd say whiteboard, just because she'll likely wind up with chalk dust on everything inside--and thus chalk dust every time she opens it and uses something (until they're cleaned...until they're used again 😂)
I'm 58 and have the tin dustpan my father made as his shop project in school. He's 85 now. I still use it in the garage almost daily. Works better than a store-bought plastic one. Two thumbs up for your case recycling and keeping the memories alive in your cutting board.
That is very cool about your fathers dust pan. I live in a small apartment and I found a bunch of dewalt cases in the trash a few years ago. I use them to hold all my tools, my hardware and anything related to construction and repaire. They are fantastic and it is alawys nice to be able to take what I need to people's houses when they need me to fix something. Never throw these away.
I’m a musician (guitar ) and a handyman kind of guy. I took an old Dewalt drill case, cut out the inside partitions and use it to carry all my sheet music, cables and some extra batteries for my peddles. These are the best cases ever.
I used a hard golf bag case to store all the cables associated with my PA system. Put dividers in it, which made otganization a breeze. Having the handle and a set of wheels make transport much easier.
My 19 year old will thank you later. In the lockdown she is looking for new projects and with 30 year of tool boxes piling up, this will definitely help. :)
One idea I suggest (and will be trying myself): to keep some of the rigidity of the PE HD cases, rather than cut out the inner layer that was preshaped for the power tool, heat it up with a heat gun and see if it will sag down to the shell on its own. It may need help into the corners, and maybe a pinhole on the outside connected to a shopvac would pull it down well. 🤷♂️ But this seems like a good way to open up the storage space, without cutting out the material, possibly strengthening the body? Great video! Thanks for the inspiration!! 👍🏼
@@TheOriginal No, probably not. It's very easy to control how much heat you are putting into the material, and actually hard to overheat it. It's possible, but you would need to be trying intentionally. Good luck!
More ideas, thanks. Always hated carring tools loose. I have old steel cases for my Skilsaws. I modified a Dewalt box to carry a 1/2in impact wrench and a 1/4in compact impact gun, for going to the junk yards. Carries both with batteries attached and a spare 4ah battery. When going to help my son with projects, the same case carries a 1/2in drill motor and 1/4in impact gun. Old cases are handy.
This vid popped up the day after I spent 4 days organizing my garage. By day 2 I considered seeking professional help for hoarding. It's not just cases for me, I save the most random junk. Everything looks useful for me.
You must be my kindred spirit- my workshop, too, is a hoarders den. At least that's what my wife thinks. But everything in there is useful, and will be used. I swear!
Sure, easy to say but what is the time limit & should there be a capacity. I've recently used parts off junk I have been pushing around for 10+ years. It also sometimes seems like stuff suddenly becomes useful after it has been disposed of.
So true. An all those RUclips enablers with their "don't throw away scrap" videos. I need a blind person to come in and clean my garage out. He won't be tempted to keep thing based on what they look like.
Having done maintenance in commercial and residential properties for 27 yrs. I can understand holding on to that item... That being said I re used a lot of that stuff as well ... Swap out a faucet ..put it in a box with others ..get a client who needs a new faucet but can't afford one .rebuild the best in the box using parts from others in the box of same type...presto that family has a refurbished good shape faucet. Now what to do with all the cords I've cut off things " yea good repair cord" along with the other 50 to 75 in the drawer or old light fixtures. ...🤔🙈( it will go away, it will go away) lol
I was thinking about a dry erase board on one side, chalkboard paint on the other, and magnets to hold it in place. The best of both worlds - chalk and markers!
I love to see things repurposed into new things. I especially love the metal case you turned into your daughters art case and also the DeWalt case you cut foam to fit your gun. Those two are absolutely genius! I love the emergency car kit too. Thank you for these ideas.
16/02 23, l use one to keep small gardening tools together. Proves useful when relaxing & pottering in the garden for the odd hour or too. Handy to have things ready to weed & trim keeping things tidy. Also useful in the Cemetary keeping things tidy too.
Hooray -- great ideas! My brother can get pallet loads of like-new cases from a company nearby that pulls the tools out for use in its huge shop. The tools get used until they break and then get tossed. Cases sit in stacks in a corner until guys like my brother come along. While some are immediately useable for actually putting tools in (like ones that came without cases or in soft totes), many of them are just too specifically designed to use for some random tool that might need protection. So, they sit around waiting for inspiration.....like this. Thanks!
You guy's really should come up with a good idea to repurpose the case's and sale them on line y'all can make some big $$ on something that going to get tossed out anyways. A guy like me is always buying case's from Harbor freight to store a tool's in that came in cardboard box that needs a case. I like my tools organised so I just pull the case out that has the tools I need on the shelf. My brother's shop he spends to much time looking for a tool he needs, my shop is the opposite everything is in case's and labeled or in reach of right where it needs to be
Great skills and creativity! I modified my old Dewalt cordless drill case to fit my new my Dewalt cordless drill that only came with a nylon carry bag. I used a utility knife, multi-tool, and sander.
Great ideas. Up here in northern N.Y. I use a few for ratchet straps and tow chains, on the back of my truck. Keeps them a bit more organized. Nice work
I'm so glad you said that about the ratchet straps! I hate trying to grab one and have to untangle several before using it. I'll be putting this idea to use soon! Thanks!
Old tool cases are great for transporting microphones, effects pedals "stomp boxes"), harmonicas, or other music gear to and from shows. You can even use them for tools.
i do it all the time,,,ANY kind of case...it makes EVERYTHING easier. My mic case is an old Clarinet case, and i use it to expose HS band nerds- SO many have looked at it and said, Do YOU play Clarinet??? and i say AHAH!!!...GOT YA!!!!...YOU were in marching BAND!!!! always a good laugh-
I also keep all my old tool cases in hopes of repurposing them someday. Thanks for the great ideas!! It never occurred to me to cut them or melt them. The possibilities here are endless when you look at it this way!! Genius...
I work for an Art College. I see students carrying their art supplies in store bought boxes. Re-purposing these boxes for art supplies or even camera equipment would be a big hit among students. Students like anything "green" or recycled. Cheers!
I used two Dewalt cases just like the ones in your video and made them into shadowed tool boxes to carry my aircraft tools in. I pop riveted Velcro straps to an aluminum sheet metal socket rails the the actual gear wrench holder 8 ounce B/peen hammer, screwdrivers, adjustable Ford, crescent and even my cordless Milwaukee 1/4” ratchet. I had plenty of tools for many jobs. Then I made the smaller but same type Dewalt into a tire change tool box. I could have a large wheel assembly ready to change while another person went to get the jack and larger tools. Then I used some 1/8th inch diamond plate aluminum and pop riveted it to the outside of both boxes mainly for extra strength but to cover the Dewalt not a big fan. I was given the small box the larger one I bought on clearance at H/Depot for $3.00. Box of them have performed great and are still in use today. I continue to keep an eye out for the unwanted or cheap Dewalt boxes their best deal for me. Lol!
Maybe integrate a padlock for the ASSULT box? Otherwise, fantastic ideas all around. I loved seeing your kid use the box you built for her, great touch.
@@VagoniusThicket if you watch the video, the case is labeled “ASULT”. Not sure if this was supposed to be a joke. This was by far the most idiotic case and the last thing that should be shown on the internet.

You're on to something with the dad diaper case. The last thing men want to carry around is pink or baby blue floral diaper bag with lace trim. A Bosch Baby Box or Dewalt Diaper Dispatch would be the envy of DIY dads. Just add a snap on external hand sanitizer pump fashioned to look like a 20v battery and you'll be the next self made man to be featured on Shark Tank. Cheers!
Not a bad idea. The first diaper bag I had was actually a replica World War II bio Hazard satchel. I'm sure there's a lot of ways of making the manly diaper bag.
@@TheBassking15 Guess the term is most used in woodworking, but it means gluing wood(or else) together which requires either clamping pressure(clamps , screws, nails,...) or a big weight on top.
@@TheBassking15 In case you're genuinely asking, Braden Hosking means to use the weight to provide compression between two wooden boards that are being glued together. Modern woodworkers use a lot of glue in their projects. Typically clamps are used to provide the pressure but in certain situations adding weight on top of the two (or more) pieces is required. In fact something similar was done in this video when he was compressing the plastic cutting board to squeeze out the air pockets.
I aquired many at my job as maintenance always toss them. I turn them into holders for Minis and figurines. Being a gamer and all, they make organizers and more. Just have to get more foam thats about it. Great work by the way.
Awesome! Best and most useful video I've seen since I can remember when. The 2 reasons I come on RUclips is to be entertained and learn something useful and you knocked both out of the park in the same video! At first thought the diaper storage case seemed like a waste but I am in my 60's now so it may come in handy in the near future. Now, where did I leave that damn oscillating tool, I've got some new projects...
Dang just pitched a whole stack of Dewalt boxes in the recycling bin, about 2 weeks ago! They do take up lots of space & it seems like everyone gets to where they don't put their tools back in them. Mine are all nicely organized in large metal cabinets in garage. Who doesn't like popping the door open & admiring a good Dewalt selection! Great, great work on repurposing all those!
Great ideas. I’ve used a universal circular saw case to put smaller plastic boxes which have a selection of screws, nails, wallplugs, washers and various bits and pieces. With each item in its own lidded box they don’t fall out if the box falls over. But are easily removed to use, or refill, or change for a different item.
That is an excellent idea. Having them all in a portable case would save me a lot of time from running up and down the stairs to find a part that fits!
I did demolition in HS and it's been 25 years but I still have an empty circular saw case I found on a job. I immediately cut out the inner parts like you did and made it a place to store important things for the car. One side has a reflective thermal tarp held in with velcro straps and the other side has the same for things like a couple flares, packs of batteries and maglight, a pair of winter work gloves and a few other things like that. I've actually changed vehicles three times and that case still comes along for the ride just replacing the batteries every few years just in case. It's probably the oldest thing I still own, and will likely always own, since I graduated from school.
I wish I had thought of that diaper bag idea back when my kids were that age. I used a soft sided Craftsman toolbag for years... no judging here... love the channel.
when I go to a job site I open several of my dewalt cases and plug in my 3 batt chargers in one case. Batts in another case and my "bits and blades" case with bits, blades, nails, screw bits and all the other tiny parts needed for a job. Makes loading and unloading truck faster. Keep my 2 "wiggle saws" and all its blades in one case too. Tile tools in another. These cases really help me keep from losing stuff. Also have a sandpaper case with all the diff papers. I keep my batt tools in a buckets to make easy carry. I mark them with a paint pen to save me time. I try to spell correctly too..... asalt looks even better...
I like the go bag and the road emergency or safety (first aid case)! I think a road trip case that holds Tire plug kit with a compressor. I try to keep the small thing like duck tape fuses and stuff that can come in handy like safety wire to hold things up!
I LOVE these ideas. I picked up a DEWALT PE-HD case from work and was wondering what I was going to do with it. Thank you I also bought a small metal case I plan to carry all my small tools I need for engine tune-ups, carb adjusting, etc.
The diaper kit is pure genius! I love it, if I had littles around I'd be building it for me right now! But here's some improvements to the design: add some straps with quick release snap buckles so that none of the stuff falls out when you open it. Equip the lid side with a large pocket to stash a change pad, and a couple small pockets to keep a few empty plastic bags for soiled clothes, etc.
I‘ve transferred several of cases like these into storage cases for tools, materials etc. Great idea to use the electric chisel tool for the so called „shading“. What you did with the pixelated „super-perforator“ is another technique I‘ve applied a couple of times. I call it creating flexible inlay inserts, or „caseing lodgements“. My next probable project in this concern might be a remodelled case for electronic bite indicators for night fishing sessions.
Yo. Cases for electronic/musical equipment are really over-priced and rarely made for a specific piece of equipment, so a custom case for like a drum machine or a midi keyboard or a sampler that keeps everything safe and secure would be super desirable. Great vid. Cheers!
Great idea! Pelican products has good, expensive cases. I don,t know where you could find a case big enough to retrofit. Survey equipment cases are big.
I kept my power tool casses in the off chance I would move. I've been in my house for twenty years, it's time I started doing stuff like you did. Really liked the cutting board, something I want to try. Thanks for the great ideas. News subscriber.
That was so awesome I love the fact when you show your daughter's head pop out of one of the boxes. Lol That was awesome you are a cool dude in a loose mood.
I've converted a few Dewalt cases to carry music equipment line cables, effect pedals, and strings. You may want to get in touch with a guitar player and create a custom pedal board box.
@@bruceschwenck638 First I have a bike rack I used before then I centered and marked the best I could the points where the boxes meet the rack supports that bolt to the bike, drill some holes on the boxes I reinforced from the inside of the toolboxes with a thin piece of metal and used heavy duty wire clamps (small size) the ones they have a piece of rubber inside were the wires go thru and bolt them over to the rack supports I finished the holes with some silicon from the inside of the toolboxes bolts and pieces of metal trying to get them water tight, I hope it makes sense this.

@@youhaveinfinitevalue5755 Hi! I can describe what I did. Here goes: I used a Dewalt drill case and a Dewalt 18V battery for power. Alligator clips connect the battery to the circuitry. I installed the following in the cover: 12V indicator light with "Armed" label; momentary push button switch; 3.5 mm mono audio jack (for safety key). The "Armed" indicator light is wired from the load side of the safety jack to negative battery terminal to indicate key is inserted. Key is 3.5 mm mono plug shorted at connectors. I put a labelmaker label on it pendant style reading "Safety Key". It just completes the circuit to the launch cable. For that, I used about 30 feet of 2 conductor stranded (18 or 20 AWG ?) with small alligator clips for the ignitor. Black to battery negative, red to load side of push button. Cable, motors, key, and ignitors all fit inside. If I recall correctly, our rocket fit in there too. Hope this gives you enough info. Be safe!
Did this fifteen years ago, DeWalt saws-all case...use it for my old school grease gun, rubber gloves, extra rags... DeWalt grinder case...used for packages of multiple fasteners, all types.
When you started cutting them up I was thinking of a pistol case. Then you did one. Thanks. A lawyer I watch on RUclips mentioned law enforcement assumes a gun is a “gun” case if it’s a single purpose case. This adds an interesting option for that scenario. Getting pulled over while in possession of a tool case isn’t the same thing.
Thanks for the ideas. I have watched it JUST IN TIME and almost get rid of my cases. Same as you i also kept them for so long time hoping one day i can need them for something. And now thanks to your vid i can gladly say; Im happy that i kept them .
Ammo cans. Insert foam with cut out slots for loaded magazines. Make a miniature toy box for the car or camper. Little slots for hot wheels or matchbox cars, or a box to hold game pieces. Traveling spice rack for camping trips or picnics. Traveling medicine cabinet, or first aid box. Gun cleaning supplies.
There are endless possibilities with those cases :) one could be turned into a random catch all for random odd pieces from old tools sets :) or I would make a super cool lunch box out of it... The big one could actually be a neat picnic "basket"... Seriously endless ideas :)
We’ve been repurposing cases as well. Our community doesn’t have curbside trash pickup, we have transfer stations with dozens of dumpsters plus a recycle pad where we’ve picked up a bunch of cases. We like the DeWalt cases the best because of the positive closure. A bigger multi tool case became a sewing machine case; a sandpapers case with a accordion file divider, one for the Dremel with small school organizer boxes with bits … But the best might be two briefcase sizes cases, cleaned out the 3/4 plywood on one side then put mounted strips for holding socket wrench sockets. One case has 1/4 & 3/8 sockets, the other 1/2 sockets with SAE & metric separated on different socket holder strips.
I think it's real interesting since most of this would never get actually recycled if you threw it in your local gov recycling program. The ultimate idea might be making them to hold rechargable batteries. Maybe integrate a charger with a short extension cord. Might be able to do something similar with the larger cases and tool batteries. Thanks for the ideas and inspiration!
Yeah, I’m guessing that most of the better tool cases are made from a grade of plastic that’s more difficult to process, especially the really sturdy ones with metal hinges and clasps. It makes more sense to just reuse them than to expend a disproportionate amount of effort to then turn them into things that will end up in a landfill that much faster anyway.
I like the good old days when the cases were made of metal. Easy to re use and easy to recycle....and if they do get to a land fill they do decompose ,
@@FC-qe1wl Few metal cases decompose. Ferrous metal might get picked out. But yeah, metal is superior in most ways. I don't know why we let companies like Coca Cola get away with plastic bottles when they already make plenty in glass bottles (& aluminum cans, though those have plastic liners).
@@jenniferellifritz4547 ♻️ #1 & #2 are supposed to be easy to recycle, but large items like these cases are not wanted (despite the ease of recycling) due to their size and their rigid, non-crushing/non-crushable nature. plastic drinking bottles crush easy and are prefered, but these cases, not so much, even it is has a "1". a real shame really.
I think we still have some from tools we no longer have. I just can't get myself to toss 'em out 'cause... you never know. Might need it for _something_ =)

I used a hard golf bag case to store all the cables associated with my PA system. Put dividers in it, which made otganization a breeze. Having the handle and a set of wheels make transport much easier.
Typical musician,can't spell pedal
My 19 year old will thank you later. In the lockdown she is looking for new projects and with 30 year of tool boxes piling up, this will definitely help. :)
One idea I suggest (and will be trying myself): to keep some of the rigidity of the PE HD cases, rather than cut out the inner layer that was preshaped for the power tool, heat it up with a heat gun and see if it will sag down to the shell on its own.
It may need help into the corners, and maybe a pinhole on the outside connected to a shopvac would pull it down well. 🤷♂️
But this seems like a good way to open up the storage space, without cutting out the material, possibly strengthening the body?
Great video! Thanks for the inspiration!! 👍🏼
I don't own a heat gun yet, but is there a chance that it would melt the outer shell as well?
@@TheOriginal No, probably not. It's very easy to control how much heat you are putting into the material, and actually hard to overheat it.
It's possible, but you would need to be trying intentionally.
Good luck!
@@rainger66 thank you. Now off to get a good deal on a heat gun.
Well, did it work?
I bought a heat gun but it came with another case
I see these cases all the time at garage sales and never thought about making one into an emergency kit to put in my truck Great ideas. Thanks
I just got tears imagining his daughter as an adult still having the art box her dad made for her.
Stop my heart
you cry to much.
It’s a mom thing! /You’ve already had to bury your dad.
I bet she WILL still have it !

That diaper bag is gold!
Nice cutting board too 👍
This vid popped up the day after I spent 4 days organizing my garage.
Swap out a faucet ..put it in a box with others ..get a client who needs a new faucet but can't afford one
.rebuild the best in the box using parts from others in the box of same type...presto that family has a refurbished good shape faucet.
Now what to do with all the cords I've cut off things " yea good repair cord" along with the other 50 to 75 in the drawer or old light fixtures. ...🤔🙈( it will go away, it will go away) lol
ALPHAFERT don't worry - we are totally normal!! 🤪
Just an idea on your daughter's art case you could paint the inside lid with chalkboard paint.
That’s a fantastic idea! And add another divider for a pack of colored chalk
Or glue a piece of dry erase board on a side or inside.
I was just gonna say that, as soon as I saw, she had drawn on the wooden panel..
I thought the same thing with dry erase 👍
I was thinking about a dry erase board on one side, chalkboard paint on the other, and magnets to hold it in place. The best of both worlds - chalk and markers!
Watching this on Saturday morning drinking coffee.. Sir you are a genius.. Much better than watching TV..
This is a great idea. Going to turn one of the cases into a bike repair kit for when we go trail riding, extra tubes, hex wrenching, etc.
Thats brilliant
I love to see things repurposed into new things. I especially love the metal case you turned into your daughters art case and also the DeWalt case you cut foam to fit your gun. Those two are absolutely genius! I love the emergency car kit too. Thank you for these ideas.
16/02 23, l use one to keep small gardening tools together. Proves useful when relaxing & pottering in the garden for the odd hour or too. Handy to have things ready to weed & trim keeping things tidy. Also useful in the Cemetary keeping things tidy too.
What I learned from this video is that I need to buy a new tool, a multi tool cutter so I can recycle my old toolboxes. Happy day, new tool!
Nice work
Same.
I'm so glad you said that about the ratchet straps!
I hate trying to grab one and have to untangle several before using it.
I'll be putting this idea to use soon! Thanks!
I used that same technique for my toe chains in an old circular saw box w/ the guts cut out!! Ratchet straps are next!! GREAT VID!!
now that's a damn good idea! i got a bunch of straps all over the garage, and at least 3 of those old tool cases catching saw dust
Old tool cases are great for transporting microphones, effects pedals "stomp boxes"), harmonicas, or other music gear to and from shows. You can even use them for tools.
i do it all the time,,,ANY kind of case...it makes EVERYTHING easier.
My mic case is an old Clarinet case, and i use it to expose HS band nerds-
SO many have looked at it and said, Do YOU play Clarinet???
and i say AHAH!!!...GOT YA!!!!...YOU were in marching BAND!!!!
always a good laugh-
Oo i got a thin square metal one. Im gonna try this.
I also keep all my old tool cases in hopes of repurposing them someday. Thanks for the great ideas!! It never occurred to me to cut them or melt them. The possibilities here are endless when you look at it this way!!
Genius...
Excellent ideas, no shame or judgement in up-cycling for nappy carry! Keep up the good work!
I work for an Art College. I see students carrying their art supplies in store bought boxes. Re-purposing these boxes for art supplies or even camera equipment would be a big hit among students. Students like anything "green" or recycled. Cheers!
you ought to make one and show it to them. might start a new green trend.
It's "Assault" .. My God.. Did everyone who commented get get their education from a sh$hole blue-state inner-city.. Wtf?

Don't forget a pop riveter to fasten those diapers...
I think making manly diaper bags is an excellent idea!
And include your first born child. Yuupp
I use these boxes for crackheads to steal, I put a few bricks in them, set in back of truck and wait, heh heh
filling the cases with concrete to use as weights for glue up’s? easy to handle. plastic protects from scratching too much.
or get shredded while gyms are still closed
Glue ups?
@@TheBassking15 Guess the term is most used in woodworking, but it means gluing wood(or else) together which requires either clamping pressure(clamps , screws, nails,...) or a big weight on top.
Braden Hosking - Love that idea!
Man, right after I dumped my stash of old cases, too. Well, now I've got some ideas. Thanks!
OMG that diaper bag idea is absolutely amazing , i'm headed downstairs to shop now to do that thank you for the idea
Ya, great place to store extention cords, tents, water toys. Got it!
I used an old sawzall case that I added foam into for carrying my butchering knives, makes it safe to travel with them and keeps them sharp
Traveling with butcher knives? That's not something you hear about every day :)
Yes I've used old dewalt case's for many items, good job sharing
when I go to a job site I open several of my dewalt cases and plug in my 3 batt chargers in one case.
Thank you
I also bought a small metal case I plan to carry all my small tools I need for engine tune-ups, carb adjusting, etc.
Super impressed by the cutting board. Not sure why I've never thought of or heard of doing that but that alone was worth the watch.
Awesome idea! Tons of gear that could be put in nice cases! Thanks!
I kept my power tool casses in the off chance I would move. I've been in my house for twenty years, it's time I started doing stuff like you did. Really liked the cutting board, something I want to try. Thanks for the great ideas. News subscriber.
Dewalt cases are awesome. Cut the guts out, tons of room. I made mine into a solder gun and related case. Everything in one spot is the best.
I used my dewalt boxes as a “saddle boxes “ for my commute bicycle they fit perfect yes a little heavier but they look nice!!!
Great idea!
VERY good idea
How do you attach them to your bike Enrique??
@@bruceschwenck638 First I have a bike rack I used before then I centered and marked the best I could the points where the boxes meet the rack supports that bolt to the bike, drill some holes on the boxes I reinforced from the inside of the toolboxes with a thin piece of metal and used heavy duty wire clamps (small size) the ones they have a piece of rubber inside were the wires go thru and bolt them over to the rack supports I finished the holes with some silicon from the inside of the toolboxes bolts and pieces of metal trying to get them water tight, I hope it makes sense this.

ohh in that case ,I'm a total hoarder haha
then i must be a hoarder...
My Dad doesn't have anywhere NEAR enough shelves in his pole barn or his two garages. Some old reused kitchen cupboards, some surplus airforce desks, and some shelves, but he's been overwhelmed for 20-some years now. Everything just piles up like a hoarder.

Years ago, my son wanted to try model rocketry, so I converted a dewalt case into a launch console, complete with safety key.
Nice Idea, when I was a kid my dad built a launch console out of scrap wood and 1970s paneling.
... thereby turning it into a "launch" box.
Is this what the President carries around?
Actually, super great idea. I do Este rockets with my kids. That would be so cool. Wish I could see pictures of your project. I’ll have to give it some thought and come up with a design. Super cool. Thanks again!
Be safe!
The art case would mix everything together when pick up, the go int the lid part, you have divide on top
Did this fifteen years ago, DeWalt saws-all case...use it for my old school grease gun, rubber gloves, extra rags...
DeWalt grinder case...used for packages of multiple fasteners, all types.
Love the dyper bag idea, wish I'd done that when my kids were younger.
On the flip side, a diaper bag is good for carrying your more valuable stuff. No one steals a diaper bag.
Same here! Better to look like a DAD then a dad with a purse!
Cormac McCann make one anyway. Eventually we will all get older and may well need diapers again
Dang, I wish I could have watched this about 30 years ago, because now my first-born child is far too big to fit in a case........
Great video!
I got a bunch from my friend that I’ve been saving, maybe now I’ll use them. Melting the plastic was awesome!
I’ve got several of those boxes stuffed around taking up space. You have me thinking now of how that I can repurpose them. Thanks for the inspiration.
Reminds me of the time I filled one with old cat litter and left it in the back of my truck. I know whoever stole it was super pissed😂😂
A bigger multi tool case became a sewing machine case; a sandpapers case with a accordion file divider, one for the Dremel with small school organizer boxes with bits …
But the best might be two briefcase sizes cases, cleaned out the 3/4 plywood on one side then put mounted strips for holding socket wrench sockets. One case has 1/4 & 3/8 sockets, the other 1/2 sockets with SAE & metric separated on different socket holder strips.
I’m off to my garage now... never in a million years would I have thought of doing something like that
I think it's real interesting since most of this would never get actually recycled if you threw it in your local gov recycling program.
That's a great idea! Thanks! :)
I was just doing big cleanup in my garage and I tossed all of that stuff into the recycle. Now I wish I would have kept a few. Cool project.
The flat one with wooden interior could be made into portable board games like checkers on one side and backgammon on the other or Ludo

Very clever! Thank you! I too have a lot of those boxes! I can definitely use this video content! And will! I just can't throw boxes away! LOL! I have recycled wooden boxes before into displays for rocks. I used plastic window blinds louvers for the dividers. They are easy to cut with a razor knife. Try that! Might be able to make a fishing tackle box from that.
This was great. Everybody has boxes like these just taking up space.
I've actually been doing this since a few years ago.
But I like what you did with them( the boxes), by going that extra step and making them more useable than just cutting the insides out, thank you for the inspiration on future projects and letting me know that I'm not the only one thinking outside of these tool boxes.
Man i in the shop i work at, we threw a lot of this cases, i even threw a few of mine in a shop cleanup we did, i never thought of doing something like this, we threw like 30 cases, if i would knew or imagine something like this before, i would have kept them or at least mines, now i know what to do with future cases, thanks for sharing your knowledge with us
