I’ll never understand people getting bent about alcohol in vanilla extract. The world is in chaos and they pick this battle. Ridiculous. Keep doing what you do Heidi!
For some, it may be that they have an addict in the home and cannot keep alcohol in the house at all so I do understand that but for those who simply do not drink, I think they just do not understand that most of us simply do not sit around and drink vanilla extract! haha
Perspective is everything... My husband stopped drinking three years ago. He has his own standards and I strongly respect it. However, he lives on sweets so vanilla extract is totally on the menu. We cook with wine too. As long as the alcohol is cooked off! Critical thinking folks, it's a good thing.
I've thought for years, just from observation, that some people are addicted to chaos and drama. You probably know at least 1 drama queen in your life. 😏 If there isn't any drama, they seem to create it.🤷♀️
@@teddimcrae9963 Correct but as noted in the video, if it is a flavored extract going in food, there is nothing to fear and I would not worry about giving a cookie or other treat containing my rum based vanilla extract to my grandchildren because the alcohol content would be non existent. But for medicinal extracts, yes, I would give them an oxymel or glycerite
I have been watching Heidi for a long time. I trust her opinion, I only say this because when she is wrong she will say so. I believe she definitely does her homework. Honesty is definitely one of her virtues.
I think the color blue looks so good on you. Thanks for sharing such useful information. I just strained off my orange vinegar and refilled my cleaning spray bottle.
As a beekeeper, my honey hasn't cristlized in a years time. As you, I prefer my honey in the natural form. Watch David Burns when he harvests his honey. 😊 Thanks Heidi for sharing usage on dehydrated citrus.
@diannemiller4754 no problems this year. (Central texas) they are out working today, some of our early wildflowers are already out and blooming 😀 sunny and 71 today 😎
When you say "adding peels" I am assuming you are buying white vinegar and adding peels but do you know you can simply make vinegar from scratch with the peels, water, and some sugar?
I've noticed that several of the channels I've subscribed to have me as not subscribed. I resubscribe and make sure I have the ALL notifications bell checked. Love your material! Be blessed, as you are a blessing to us! Shalom
I absolutely love your content. Happy to see you are on Rumble. YT is on that censoring and shadowbanning wagon. Horrible platform! I am going to add you to my Rumble subscriptions. Keep going and don't stop speaking the truth and standing up for your channel!
We need to help Rain Country get bigger and bigger family. Heidi works so hard to help us and teaching us so much that is so important. Everyone need to give her thumbs up like, write a coment even if just hello, and share to email to text. Let's help her as much as we can.
I feel very grateful that I'm still receiving notifications about your videos. I don't always have time to watch them right away but I always put them in my play later watch list and watch them eventually and sometimes, like now, I see it within minutes of you posting it. Keep up the good work and don't let them beat you down. We, your followers, appreciate everything you do. As an aside, I've said many times before that you put out a video just when I needed the information and I just came across a container of dried orange peels and was going to remind myself what I could use them for and there you are with the information, as always!
Thanks, Heidi. I also got emotionally involved till i realized that God does a lot better than i can so i leave it in His hands. I'm a lot happier. Bless you.
I'm thankful that I still get notifications for your videos. We should all just ditch this platform. That's all it would take to stop this craziness. Anyway, thanks for another great video!
This is why I have been putting my videos up on Rumble for at least two years now. As they continue to improve their platform, I am liking it better. I still do not make much there but I think that is because most people that are subscribed there still watch me here, which is fine
I just checked my subscription and I wasn’t subscribed. Subscribed again. This has happened to other people I watch too. Sorry this has happened to you. You put out great videos. I learn a lot from you. Thank you.
Thank you Heidi! I have read comments that some people won't even use this platform anymore because of what they're doing. Imo, that's throwing the baby out with the bathwater. It harms the content creators. I'd rather come on here or a few other channels and make fun of the platform for what they're doing.😄 Because I drive out to the apiary generally once a year, I fill a bucket or 2. Yes, it chrystallizes. I have no problem with warming it up in my crock pot or slowly on the stove and adding about a tablespoon of water for the whole bucket. Folks have been doing this for years and especially during the depression. It's not optimal but it works. Blessings always! 💜
I agree it is throwing the baby out with the bath water. Many do not realize that just giving up hurts us more and even though Rumble is getting better all the time, it still is a much smaller platform that gets far less views and I think lower paying advertisers, the revenue is only a fraction of what one can make on youtube. I am finally up to earning a little better than a dollar a day there, which is certainly better than nothing but after two years and all the time and work I put into putting my videos there, it is hardly worth the effort. I keep going though because who knows if my channel here may disappear all together as has happened to some others. At least with Rumble, people still will have a place to go find me.
I keep bees myself and work part time for a major bee keeper. Quality honey won't even crystallize. Especially high quality tupelo honey. Good honey may still crystallize though. One thing I would worry about though is that a lot of bee keepers use lots of toxic stuff to control pests and also feed their bees high fructose corn syrup. It's super common. I know several bee keepers and damn near all of them do that unfortunately.
This is why I look for "organic". While I know there is no guarantee that any honey is fully organic because bees can travel quite a ways, at least one can reduce the chance of high toxin exposure.
@@sandrad518 it's quite sad. The guys I work for have absolutely horrible and sickening practices. They believe it's the only way though. I don't personally believe that. It's not my place to say anything and they treat me well so I just deal with it. Wish I could warn the buyers of the toxic load but they'd likely find out eventually if I did. Is what it is...

I'm also a beekeeper- Dallas, USA. 7yrs. Not a single crystallized jar. And I even tried like the dickens to make creamed honey. Fail. I enjoy people who know so little but complain so much. It's entertaining.
Thank you for keeping up with your videos even though it is getting hard. Haven't seen you for a while now. Now I know why. I will share this and everything you post from now on.

Definitely prefer liquid, just easier to work with. I never knew the flowers they feed on affected how quickly it would crystallized. I'm blessed to buy raw honey from organic farmers who planted wildflowers everywhere on their property for their bees to feed on.
Heidi, thank you. 😊 I think even if you get the views they'll cheat you out of them. Way back I was monetized, then they changed the rules and didn't send the check. It's highly dependent on the sugar content in said honey (meaning what brush/flowers they work to create the honey)
Also a beekeeper.
@sophiabultena6781 however it doesn't cristlize in the active hive. I 😉 love my honey bees. So far, they are doing well in my Michigan winter.
