With my Jacky girl, I always went to an empty lot that had a lot of rabbit holes in it. While she was digging like a maniac, I trained with the kettlebells. After 45 mins or so, the dog was completely spent, but happy and I had gotten in a good workout as well. Happy days!
My jack is a “sassy” girl. She gets “cranky” without her exercise…she loves her cool/cold weather walks and she loves to try to take down the occasional cars/trucks that go by 🙄🙄 We have a big fenced yard and going on patrol is her thing too …as is catching and killing the occasional squirrel or mole or snake that sadly make the mistake of being in the yard! Now that’s her FAVE exercise! Happy New Year! ❤🎉
Thanks for making videos again. I really enjoy them. My old jacks favorite exercise was to play ball. I would balance the ball on the handrail going into the basement. He would nudge it with his nose to get the ball to roll down the handrail. Then he would run down the steps and catch the ball as it flew off the handrail but before it hit the ground. Then he would run up the steps, give me the ball and bark while looking at the hand rail. I find this would wear him out quicker than just ball on flat ground. :) I sure miss my old jack, but I do love my new jack.
I walk my JRT's often. During the warm months, I would take them every day. Now, the days are colder. Although, when the temps are at least 45 degrees we will go walking. A 20 or 30 minutes walk is very helpful. Jackson, the male JRT wants to play fetch all day. He loves it. Ruby, now has no interest, because Jackson is very dominant. Happy New Year!!!!
The ball is life for my girl. She uses her toys to barter for snacks. If you’re eating something and she really wants some, she’ll throw one of her toys at your feet to make her point.
My jack Weiner mix loves to play with basketballs, she can get it to go over her head and roll it down her back. Our local dog park has kiddie pools that she loves and the outdoor pool on the last day before it's drained for the year they have "paws in the pool day", I have a life jacket for her and once we get in she dives right in and I can't get her out
