Fun fact, on first stage, ideal strat is to activate the teleporter at under a minute. Enemy scaling doesn't happen until one minute has passed, so you can lock the boss into 1400 health, and basically guarantees a sub three minute first stage if you're collecting items efficiently
I haven't played it, but looks way easier, especially with % dmg reduction? Nothing like that in ror2 where half of the enemies can literally oneshot u. Yes they are easier to evade, but Providence looks like a joke compared to mithrix.
The OST during the boss on Temple of Elders might have taken over Once in a Lullaby as my favorite RoR track. It's called Surface Tension Returns, it fucking slaps so hard. (Plays at 9:33 for the curious)

It's such a seamless and creatively abundant fusion if electronic and rock elements, with lead instruments ts and guitar solos that ooze emotion. My favourites from the series are the raindrop that fell to the sky, monsoon from this game, and surface e tension returns (god I love music in odd time signatures )
I really appreciate that you used the drone box the whole run. The most underrated equipment imo. The drones in this game can really do your dirty work if you put them to it. Too bad you didn’t get a laser cannon or flame drone. Those boys slap.

He was what i allways played back in the day, and he was my first monsoon win aswell. I think hes so strong because you dont need to attack, you can just focus on movement.

3:25 your R arrow isn't getting canceled. It's getting skipped because inputs don't buffer, I think. It's actually really annoying. I'll play Enforcer, and I'll be constantly shooting, and I'll realize I have to SHIFT. I'll stop shooting, press it, then continue shooting and it'll just get skipped over, if I'm at the tail end of the shooting animation. Because of this, sometimes I SHIFT and I THINK for a split second I was too early and press it again, and behold, now it's on cooldown. If I was zoomed in it wouldn't be a problem; I could see my character animations more clearly, but I ain't doin' that. the "abilities HUD" in the Accessibility Options is so good for this (why is it in Accessibility?).
Man, trying to watch this on my phone at work is impossible. I definitely feel like I might need to watch some guides for this game. For as much as I love RoR2 and all my experience on it, going to RoR Returns was both refreshing and frustrating. For once, on Monsoon, I was not only challenged but at a point where I couldn't DPS anything, couldn't run from anything, couldn't dodge anything, have encountered a few bugs, and kept dying on Stage 2. This game is beyond different from RoR2. In RoR2, items don't matter nearly as much. So long as you got good skill, you can pretty much beat the game with no items. RoR Returns? It seems like items are everything and my RNG luck is so dog water it's a meme in my friend group for the past decade.
this is risk of rain 1, which was very different from 2. Ror1 was much less forgiving than 2. I would say 1 in 4 runs is a god run in ror2, and 1 in 20 runs is a god run in ror1.

My #1 peice of advice as both someone who played the og risk of rain and has been playing returns is to be as fast as you can. I pop teleporter as soon as I see it regardless of the items I have and I'm usually leaving the stage within 2:30 and 3:00. The time scaling in this game is much higher than risk of rain 2, so 5 mins per stage is too long to be staying for. Good luck!

Ngl I don’t think Monsoon is worth playing in this game on a regular basis. It’s way more luck dependent than it is in ROR2, and it’s genuinely a bit of a miserable time. Rainstorm’s balanced way better

I used to play rir1 a lot but I can't tell if I'm trippin or not but the game seems way more difficult than usual. I know it's rng with items but it spawns a fuckton of enemies with elites early on and i literally can't get them all.
I think the major culprits are the bigger map sizes and the more aggressive new enemies that the remake add. Try to toggle off some of the RoRR content in the game's settings and see if the game gets easier

yeah it is way harder then ror1. ror1 had better movement despite what people say. it was way more precise but definitely took some time to learn.
It is. Less chest spawns overall, nobody spawns in the early difficulty, and then it ramps ***hard***, way too fast to keep up with.

He's not aiming with his mouse. Huntress is the only survivor in the game that aims automatically.
Huntress is the only character with auto aim. His mouse isn't aiming, it's just Huntress
