Tom in all honesty, I think that 1:15 to 3:30 must be made as a video and be part in the module guides of all OU modules just to encourage the students. All the video is in spot once again! thanx for your work!!! Really appreciate it. Btw its the third time I am watching the whole video!!!
A less common question here I guess - would I get full access to the online materials of my current modules after I've finished them? I was wondering because I’m doing a language module and there are some very useful audio clips and pronunciation guide etc on the module page online and half of the units are completely online… would be a shame if I can’t access those and review them again next year once I’ve moved onto the next stage… (if I'll have no access to them at the next stage, I might have to find a way to download/save everything in advance which might be a bit tricky... either way would be good to know if full access to past modules is available or not 🙂)
Hi Tom! I’ve been looking into OU’s BSC Computing and IT (software) as id like to be a software engineer and I came across your videos. I do have a question; from your experience, how much of your Computing and IT course was actual hands on programming vs theory/approaches and stuff?
Hello! From my experience, it is usually 50/50, which is also how the assessments are as well. However, it does depend on what modules you choose to study, some a very theory-based while others are more practical/hands-on.
Im hoping to start the same course, as i want to pursure a career change into a software enginer. Are you enrolling in oct? Do we have to choose a maths?🙈🤣
Hello. I've just watched all of your Open University videos. Thank you very much for posting them. I intend to start studying for the LLB (Honours) with OU in February. I subscribed and will follow you on instagram as well. Wishing you well.
Hi Tom, how are you? I love studying and it makes me more in control when I am in front in my coursework!! Just recently, I got a DM grade in my BTEC Level 3 sport!!! How complex will the answers to the questions be in the first and second year of the level 4 qualification? I am thinking of studying at the OU in the future and I am a confident person. But, I would be slightly nervous too, as I wouldn’t want to fail any assessments. 👍
Congrats on your grade! The answers can be straightforward providing you’ve done the work prior to the assessment. If you like being in front then that’s ideal because even if you do struggle with a question you’ll have plenty of time to ask for help via your tutor or forums.

Does applying/getting a student loan affect your credit score or ability to get a mortgage ?
No, it doesn't.
since I live outside the UK I do all the exams online

Hi miss windy, how have you found the Llb? Are the learning materials very accessible and understandable? How have you found the law tutors?
