Wavestate Improvised Jam - November Melancholy

- November can be a time for melancholy, which is reflected in this improvised jam with the Korg Wavestate using a single custom patch, recorded in one take.
The patch is a part of the "Berlin School and Ambient Construction Kit Vol 3" soundbank available for purchase here: waveformer.gum...
Wavestate performance mod knobs:
Knob 1: Layer A (arp melody 1) Octave
Knob 2: Layer B (bass) Octave
Knob 3: Layer C (pad) Octave
Knob 4: Layer D (arp melody 2) Octave
Knob 5: Layer A (arp melody 1) Amp Level
Knob 6: Layer B (bass) Amp Level
Knob 7: Layer C (pad) Amp Level
Knob 8: Layer D (arp melody 2) Amp Level
ModWheel controls the sample for the pad in Layer C (well, it's the starting sample in a looping wave sequence).
Joystick X controls Layer B (bass) Gate Lengths (left to shorten, right to lengthen and add inbetween notes)
Joystick Y controls Layer B (pad) Delay Mix
The audio is recorded to SD card on a Zoom R16 recorder/mixer and normalized in Audacity. Video is recorded on a Canon EOS M50 mk2 with the included EF-M 15-45mm lens. Audio and video is synchronized in DaVinci Resolve 18 (free version).

Somehow after listening the first time I inadvertently hit the down thumb instead of the up thumb! Fixed that now, and this piece is just beautiful. I much prefer these less pronounced pluck sounds. Really looking forward to your third collection. Cheers Thomas!

Are you getting the Minifreak at all?
I am kind of excited that it can do some similar things to the WS in sequencing with motion sequencing and randomness.
I think it's a perfect sequencer minus the ability of multiple sequencers, it just seems to have everything on the surface which I love.
I haven't listened yet, will do soon.
