Ambient Berlin School, Remembering Earth, Korg Wavestate

This is a relaxing Ambient Berlin School jam with live sound design recorded in one take using the Korg Wavestate synthesizer. The jam is based on a four layer custom patch. Three layers of basic melodic themes are built up live from three arpeggiators, and the notes, rhythm and timbres are modified by the Wavestate's wave sequences, turning basic melodies into something more complex and evolving. The fourth layer is a typical Wavestate pad, cycling through different wavesamples.

Wavestate performance mod knobs:
Knob 1: Layer A (arp melody 1) Octave
Knob 2: Layer B (arp bass) Octave
Knob 3: Layer C (pad) Octave
Knob 4: Layer D (arp melody 2) Octave
Knob 5: Layer A (arp melody 1) Amp Level
Knob 6: Layer B (arp bass) Amp Level
Knob 7: Layer C (pad) Amp Level
Knob 8: Layer D (arp melody 2) Amp Level
Joystick X changes the Filter and Amp Envelope Decay for Layer A (arp melody 1).
Joystick Y changes the Filter and Amp Envelope Decay for Layer D (arp melody 2).
ModWheel lowers Filter Envelope Intensity for Layer A and Layer D, making them softer.
The audio is recorded to SD card on a Bluebox mixer/recorder and normalized in Audacity. Video is recorded on a Canon EOS M50 mk2 with the included EF-M 15-45mm lens. Audio and video is synchronized in DaVinci Resolve 18 (free version).

Thanks for sharing. I like how you share your creative process and do a wonderful composition at the same time (no mistakes!). It is very Berlin School and reminds me a lot of Tangerine Dream. We need to find a way of getting more views for the emerging Ambient Trance community on RUclips!
