    I didn't think this topic of pricing would go that in depth but it did lol. Hope this video is helpful and/or entertaining.

      So Manny factors to consider right? I always stress out when the price talk comes up during my emails lol.
      Anyways this way helps me keep it somewhat consistent. Glad it helps you too.

    Thank you so much for sharing all your knowledge. Specially topics like pricing. I started tattooing a year ago after falling in love with fine line and right away signed to tattoo courses. I was a microblading artist so I already had a light hand for detailed work. I never worked at a tattoo shop. I started from home and then rented a room so there're many things I'm still learning own my own. Pricing is something I question about and this video helped me so much. thank you again!!

      appreciate it man. Yes its in the works. I have so much footage all the way back in July '23 where I'm setting up the space. Now I need to put it all together in a nice way. And some other smaller details I think. So yeah I will!

    Just a question. How do you handle prices with friends?

    • @jjjaylud
      @jjjaylud  Год назад +2

      1)To those I know are taking advantage, I will decline.
      2)To those I somewhat know or I like or respect, I will give a good price or a deal.
      3)To my very very close friends or family which is very small circle, I will give free ofc. no question.
      4)And I will give free to those that offer me something in return, like a trade. Like networking kind of.

    mannn Location has been absolutely KILLING me ever since the owner of my previous shop passed as well as helping to open the new shop in the same city. Can't take walk-ins if the shop has no rep, can't use my own rep cause I've only been tattooing for 5 years :')

      Hmm I see,
      Maybe you should look for another shop? And to be attractive to other shops, you need to keep working on your product(your Tatts) because ultimately that will open up your opportunities. For example, I see artists working on their clout or chasing money, when they need to be upping their product quality first and foremost.
      You must be self reliant in a way. dependency is a killer. You have to think like this: "I should be able to attract despite location"
      Keep going brother!
