Looks like this map will end up being everyone’s favorite map… which says a lot about BF 2042’s other maps.
Yeah. The biggest problem with the game is the maps, but I still like the game and it's the only game I'm playing at the moment.

Everyone's favorite? I don't know about that. I'm not everyone, and I know lots of others who don't favor cqc maps, too, but it's good that the devs made an infantry map only for those who like to just play infantry combat only
No thank you, i already despised locker.
Another thought, it's very refreshing to have a season update where we are talking about the map and content rather than the core fundamentals of the game.
I have plenty of opinions on the core of this game, but damn it is REALLY nice to see the community just talking about the game, rather than the design of it.

Since the reworks I’m quite enjoying all maps. All seasonal map are pretty good. 2042 needed a CQC map . The problem for me is one map per season ain’t enough. At least when 3-4 maps drops you sure to like at least one or two. And it takes time to get bored of it. On the other hand one map 24/7 becomes old fast. I hope support continues and that we get a dense urban wart orn map next time.
6 seasons in and we are back at where we started. Classes, class gadgets etc. I sound like im critical of it and I am, but I am because it took them 6 seasonms to understand what the people want.
Imagine the crates play a “environmental” factor where the super soldiers are released as a sort of 3rd party both factions have to account for. You can either form a temporary union or use the chaos to your advantage and win faster.

Exposure is my fav map as of right now and the inside of the facility is my fav part in any map in 2042. So I can’t wait for this new map lol
I Love what Dice has done and it looks great! I do wish these games had a "real" teamplay that you had to work together to achieve a mission and everyone had to work at it. This map has so much potential like blowing shield doors( only certain soldiers can blow doors who have the right explosives and the enemy can rebuild the doors ) to get in a area to destroy experiments etc. Those of you who played Return to Castle Wolfenstein know what I mean.
The voices being the same for the new skins for these no pats is super weird. Hearing McKay go “wow yea” while wearing that skin is funny.
6:55 wild to me they replaced the pickup animation from BF1 and V with this boring stick

It would have been cool if the led ceiling was destructible. Making the map become more dark.

Angel’s crate is disabled? Map looks good but another example, of many, that specialists suck. What good is he in this map then?
Finally, the whites-of-their-eyes Battlefield experience I’ve been waiting for. Not every map needs to replicate an entire theatre of war.

I feel like Battlefield should have infantry only maps because there’s always have to be that mix up with different play styles besides camping in a tank/plane.
I’ve been saying this since launch, but unfortunately most people don’t care for this. It’s just shocking that this hasn’t been available since launch.

Shut down has goo infantry combat. Its about the play space in the map. Like am i running 20 minutes to get to a capture point because thats not fun but there are plenty of areas with good play space

As always, I don't expect that to change at least not for 2042. They better put in more effort for Battlefield Next(tm).
And it is imo SUCKS. I hope they do not think they can get away with ONE map per season for the next BF. I can bet they will for sure try.
Are you comparing free map content to paid DLC map packs from previous BF titles?
@@jcaashby3if they do that, you'll have to lower your expectations on the map quality. Having to make 2 maps in the same timeframe as it tales to make 1 means they'll have to cut down on a lot of quality. Its either that or have those maps hidden behind a paywall
And trust me, making good maps is far easier said than done
The other maps wouldn't be bad, if the anti armour weapons actually were useful. I might give it ago again just to see

I just hope the new anti-cheat does its job. I can already envision the usual types massacring everyone with their snaplock PP-29s and making matches feel tedious.
Some devs from dead space helped. Interesting. It would have been cool if the Halloween mode was zombies but with the necromorphs from deadspace.
