Seiko is excellent at not offering what people want except in their expensive models. This one is the exception to the rule. Best value watch in their line. And that's why watch enthusiasts like it.
Had this watch since 2020 and put it through the ringer. Used it while doing construction and renovation work on my house and its STILL running great. This watch is damn near unbreakable
I just picked mine up today. It's very comfortable to wear. The lume is incredible, and noticeable even in daylight ! My only initial grumble is when the minute hand is passing under the cyclops, it clutters the day / date view due to the magnification and slight distortion. That's a very minor niggle. I'll soon get used to it. And overall, it's a great looking timepiece. My next purchase is the reimagined pogue chronograph.
I actually prefer the speedtimer with the Blue face, but I'm not sure how easy it would be for me to buy one here in England. So I'll probably go ahead and get the Yellow / sunburst one.
I just got mine few days ago, ordered from Seiko. Cost 642.00 total. I love the color and the watch looks great on my 7.5 wrist. I sold my 3 Rolex's and Deep blues, Vostok Europe watches. Been without a nice time piece for 2 years, started looking at Seiko again and fell in love. I am ordering a SRPF79 to add to my collection that I am starting.

I love it. It was actually my first Seiko. I have bought two more since. I have about 80 watches in my collection now. The king turtle gets worn occasionally. Being green it does not go with many of the clothes I wear.
I’ve got the srpf77 “dark manta” love it. Everything aligns and it is accurate too. I put it on an uncle Seiko z199. I have a King Samurai also but I thing I’m going to sell it because I much prefer the case on these turtles.
I just got one of these with a Miltat bracelet, fantastic value. The original bracelet is ok, but the Miltat is much much better, give sit such heft. it punches way above it's weight, well it's nearly as heavy as a Rolex Deep Sea!

I have had the SRPE03 a couple years. I've got it on a Crafter Blue fitted rubber strap, which I really like. My crown is super smooth, and I don't recall any issues with it. My main issue is it's running -20s/d. While that's technically in spec, it's barely in there and kind of annoying. I have actually been late to meetings because of it.
Unfortunately accuracy is really hit or miss with Seiko (among other QC issues). They take regulation pretty well if you have a good watchmaker nearby!

Exactly. They keep things like sapphire glass, etc. higher in their lines. These King Turtles and Samurai’s are even better because of this! :)

yeah I don't love the cyclops, but the turtle case is so comfortable. Oooh, the new pogue chrono looks fantastic

I love the Samurai case but it is a touch big for me. The turtle is also just so so comfortable!

Wanted a green sumo but can't stand aluminum bezels. I ordered this srpe05 and a crafter blue cb12 waffle texture green strap.

It does, but I have had many that do not! Seiko should fix this but I don't think they ever will!
