    The 3xxx series of Latitude is created for company IT to give to co-workers that they dislike (they generally work fine but do tend to be less well-made to hit the price point)

      Haha! I agree, it’s a low-end model, but the top should be made of a much better material. I already have a 2023 Vostro and a low end 2023 Precision workstation to be tested, can’t wait to see how they stack up against this Latitude.

    Thank you kindly for adding this video as the in-depth detail to what you had earlier referenced about problems with this laptop. Also, it's super apparent that you're putting in a ton of effort into your vids, both in terms of content and production! Your quality of video is just growing. Thanks! My school got me this exact model for free but with 16 gig ram and face unlock. i have noticed the lid popping one time in the 3 - 4 months i have used it. the lid also scratches pretty easely, got some minor scraches around it.

      Interesting choice for school. If you need to carry the laptop daily or a lot the 5000 model would have been a better choice. Dell just replaced the screen with the hinges under warranty, the tech told me that he is not aware of this issue but sometimes the screws can puncture through top cover.

      @@Scott.The.IT.Guy. yea, I’m carrying it with a back pack to school everyday, it is a bit to big for the backpack as it is an 15,6”. I couldn’t choose what laptop they would get me, they just choose that one. They got me that version because I’m doing a lot of solid works stuff and that needs a pretty powerful machine like what I got.

    Hello. Great video! I just purchased a 5330 15.5 inch screen, touch screen clamshell with the i7 12th gen Evo, 16 RAM and 612gb hard drive. Yes, I agree, the material plastic feels cheap, but runs smooth like butter. I use it for work to open spread sheets, email, charts and the ocasional Xbox playing games. U think the 500 dollars I paid brand new was a good deal? Thanks for your time. Good day 👍🏽

      For $500? That’s a killer piece! That laptop will not only last many years to come but will be fast as well.
      There is a lot I like about the latitude, especially with 5000 and 7000. For $500 you did great on this for sure!

    I am deciding between the Dell Vostro 5000 and Latitude 3000 for my business, to be working 24/7. Working conditions are harsh and reliability is my top priority please suggest.

    • @Scott.The.IT.Guy.
      @Scott.The.IT.Guy.  9 месяцев назад +1

      I would forget both and go for the latitude 5000 series. Dell is running a sale right now , it’s significantly cheaper at the moment.

    • @S.Lang7
      @S.Lang7 9 месяцев назад +1

      If you have to decide between the two, the latitude 3000 is a much better option however the quality of the plastic holding the screen together is extremely weak. This laptop was brand new and I am still waiting for Dell to show up and replace parts around the screen but it’s out of stock….
      The latitude 5000 is all metal , it will significantly last longer.

    sir, for a beginner developper, which is better between dell latitude 3540 i5-1335u/16gb/512ssd vs HP PROBOOK 450 G10 / I5-1335U / 16 GO / 512 GO SSD

    • @Scott.The.IT.Guy.
      @Scott.The.IT.Guy.  2 месяца назад

      I no longer recommend the Dell 3540 if you need to carry the laptop a lot. If it will be sitting at your desk 90% of the time, sure. If you need to take it to school or work every day, I will not recommend it. With the HP PROBOOK 450 G10, a lot of people reporting problems that the USB C port stops working a lot. They are close otherwise.

    What you think about dell vostro 3520 vs this?

    • @Scott.The.IT.Guy.
      @Scott.The.IT.Guy.  2 месяца назад +1

      I have never replaced so many hinges and top covers with the previous version of Vostro before. Therefor we only purchased two 3520”s last year and they are holding up. The fan runs a lot even if you don’t do anything on them, the battery is also not great. The machine looks nice it’s better than the Inspron, but the latitude 3540 has a better battery, better performance, better screen quality, touchpad feels better as well, but the built quality is poor . If you not travel with the laptop I would get the latitude. If you do I would look for another laptop.
      Check the Dell refurbished outlet , sometimes they have unbelievable prices.

      @@S.Lang7 I bought 10 laptops latitude 3540 intel i5 1235U 10 cores 10nm for my firm.
      From this batch I opened 3 PCs and all 3 have the same symptom.
      Simple basic office use (Office, Internet surfing and file copying) turns the fans intermittently. The problem is with or without the docking station. The only solution I found is to limit the Turbo Boost or configure the max CPU to 99% in Windows.
      HWMonitor gives me an idle temperature of 49°C, normal use between 52 and 70°C
      Compared to an HP/FUJITSU/LENOVO pc, I only have a slight inaudible hiss while the DELL does a little vacuuming.
      A simple copying files from USB Disk to the computer (about 10 Go) make fan in action during transfert

      Anker has some good products. The 537 is a 65w however one port gives you only 45w why the other does 20 top. It will still work, it will still charge just not as fast as a 65w charger. If you don’t need a fast charger it could still be ok. I would get it from amazon or something similar so if you are not 100% happy, it’s easy to replace it.
