Have you purchased a Dell refurb or another brand? What has your experience been like?
i have this exact laptop with the long life cycle battery but a 7th gen core i5. it runs amazingly on most daily tasks and even some gaming too.

My experience with Dell refurbs has been the same and I've bought nearly a dozen machines over the years, from Precision to Latitude and Ruggedized laptops, and never had any problems.
I think all the refurbs are off lease from FedEx. Everyone I have had has a FedEx supply chain sticker on it
If you can wait for the right configuration to come along, buying a Dell refurb is the only way to go. I bought a Latitude E6530 in 2013 and it's still going. Because Dell sells thousands of computers to Business, they get lots of returns because business IT departments ordered too many, or the wrong model, or whatever, so they will usually have a lot of current models...keep checking the inventory.
Mine was almost 100% perfect, only a very slight scuff next to one of the USB ports. Other than that, it was essentially a brand new computer, so don't worry you'll get a defective one any easier than if you ordered a brand new one . ANd the price was like HALF what a new one cost. Why NOT shop the Dell Outlet??

Great review! I am really happy with the Dell refurbished laptops. Like you, they fit my needs . I shopped for mine at Walmart online, lots of choices, cheap and if there's problem, it's easy to return at Walmart. They're sturdy, I have three (couldn't resist because of the price) and the chargers,RAM, batteries are interchangeable with each of them.
Which refurbished laptop under 250 usd for gaming you would reccomend me ?
Yikes prob none of them but depends on the game too. I can edit video and play some games on this one but not a powerhouse at all.
If anything keep your eyes on a few generations back i7 or newer i5 with a solid state drive sometimes u can get awesome deal!
I've had a few used Dell laptops from Ebay, but not Dell. As per usual, slight issue where they (probably on purpose; who knows) where the screen resoulution was 720p instead of advertised 1080p but the machine was as new so kept it. Bought from a business seller with 3 months warranty so pretty safe. Very happy buying used.
