I’m a vendor. I do not add a tipping option. I do not want anyone to feel pressured. I have been tipped several times-which is a wonderful surprise. I figured those that want to tip…will tip.
In the eye of the Storm He remains in control. In life we will go thru many storms...but it will not n can not Rain forever. So ecstatic you made your goals!!
My aunt told me to turn on tips and 3 out of 4 transactions I got a tip. They can always skip it so the worst that can happen is someone doesn’t tip. You don’t lose anything and you never know if someone would be generous enough to tip especially around the holidays.
I’m sorry that your Sunday market was such a difficult one. But I’m very happy to hear that you had a successful weekend! 🎉 All of your hard work is really paying off and I hope that encourages you to keep going. You’re doing a great job!❤
Saturday was my 20th Market, like ever. I started in Feb 2023, AND I'VE LEARNED A LOT still learning. In the beginning, I would have to do a lot of explaining of my brand. With time, I just started including pictures and videos of my booths when applying to Markets. This really helped me cut down on time wasted with correspondence. As well as not being place next to someone else selling similar items. Sorry you had it rough.
It definitely has been a journey! Not very many applications I have done have a spot for pictures so it's just up to me to describe things which I feel like I do okay but I get it can be hard when organizers are going through tons of emails. Thankfully my confusion with Milk Mart has been solved and I did one of their events yesterday and it was amazing so I'm glad I got that settled. I'm looking forward to learning new things this next year too :)
Hey Bailey, sorry your last market was such a bust, with everything that went on. I would definitely talk with the coordinator of that event, because location matters. I'm so glad you reached your goals and more.
Thank you so much for your support! I actually did email her and we got it figured out and I'm glad I did because it made me get into future events with them!
Those are cute ideas! I have an idea that I've had since before we chose Goo Goo Goods that I think is what I'm going to go with but I'm going to wait until the new year to make it official!!
Bailey, to keep the edges of the rug down try using heavy duty tape. The kind that's found in hardware stores. That might work. Just make sure it's close to the colour of the rug. Nancy
You could put a tip jar on your counter and that way you don't have to ask and those who enjoy the tip thing will either add to the jar or ask if they can do it electronically
I think I really just need to get over feeling awkward before I start introducing tipping. I don't mind doing it electronically which is easier for me but it's just the idea that I'm making someone feel uncomfortable by having a tipping option is what's holding me back!
love your set up! Where did you get the bookcase? It looks so easy to set up! and the hanging racks, omg genious, Do you have a video on how to do them
Thank you so much! I got the shelf from Amazon and it's on my Amazon storefront here:www.amazon.com/shop/googoogoods/list/13936SXAM41EH?tag=onamzbaileyhy-20&ref_=aip_sf_list_spv_ons_mixed_d I don't have a video on how to do the hanging racks but essentially all you do is get a 6 foot dowel from lowes and screw through it about 3 inches from the ends and then I took rope and tied it to carabiners! If I can remember I'll try to make a short about it :)
I just got this bag in the color Carolina and of course been looking at videos on them lol. It took me a couple years also because if the price but I got mines from Bloomingdale’s during the buy more save more sale plus there was an extra 10% off for signing up on the app, so it averaged to about $50.
Great video as always!! I felt so bad for you for your business being misunderstood. Unfortunately the name screams baby stuff but your products are really nice and not for babies. I like the idea of transitioning the name a bit and going to colors instead of the baby on your logo. It will be difficult at first but once you complete everything I think it will represent your merchandise much better!! I had to change my name too once I found more my niche. Good luck, you got this Bailey!! 🥳🥰
I know it’s definitely going to be a little difficult in the beginning but I definitely think changing the name is going to be beneficial. My business has just changed and evolved that the name doesn’t make sense anymore I’ll just have to make sure everyone knows and it isn’t a shock when it happens lol. Thank you so much!
maybe for future markets when you apply in the category section or what you sell section of the application maybe put boutique and specify- mommy and me boutique so hosts don't think you just sell kiddo stuff!
I sometimes put other and specify what I'm bringing! Thankfully I've not had too many issues with that since making this video. I've been kind of changing my products slowly to still have mom stuff but also just like stuff I like so now when I apply I mostly just say women's apparel lol
New subscriber here!! I do vendor markets as well!! I don’t think I could have the tipping option on either!! 😅 it’s so awkward! But if I were a buyer, I’m more likely to tip a small business (especially people who make their own items)than corporations!!!!
The tipping thing is so awkward!!! I feel like I can rationalize it to myself when I'm just thinking about it because I get it we are providing a service and putting lots of effort into it but when you're actually at the market its stressful lol. You try it and tell me how it goes for you lol!!
The hangers I used are actually really simple to make! I just got a 6 foot dowel from Lowes, thick yarn, and carabiners from Amazon. Basically you just drill through them about 3 inches in from each end (I think that's what my husband did!!) and then I put the yarn through and tied it off and then tied the carabiner to the other end!
Also I feel like organizers need to do their due diligence and make sure they’re putting vendors in a good spot and not just going off of business names.
That sounds so stressful, I'm sorry your weekend was rough! Glad that you made good sales though! To be completely honest, the name Goo Goo Goods SCREAMS baby to me, no shade at all so please don't take it that way! I love your videos and your products are cute, but I do think the name is holding you back!
Oh I know it totally does! I am mentally preparing for a shift in the new year once I get back from visiting with family to start the transition into a new name/branding it's just going to be really tricky coordination changing everything :(
Your business name could make some think you have kids stuff. Make sure when applying to let vendors know what you sell and maybe attach pictures. Location can kill you, we were in the very back corner at a Christmas show and hardly sold anything, the next year I asked to be closer to the front and we ended up in the middle and sold a lot more.
I know it's so annoying! I could barely hear it when listening to it and it was obvious I wasn't using it as part of my video it was just playing in the public area I was in so I wasn't stealing music!!
You're a good girl. No tipping please. Nobody asked vendors to go to their community. If anything, vendors should even be thanking customers for passing by their stores and checking them out. Customers can always buy online and not tip. Stop the thick-faced tipping culture, people! Your pop-up looked good, btw.
I’m a vendor. I do not add a tipping option. I do not want anyone to feel pressured. I have been tipped several times-which is a wonderful surprise. I figured those that want to tip…will tip.
I probably will stay away from tipping for everyone's comfort lol! Maybe I will test it out one day just as an experiment though!
I can't believe you set that all up in 30 minutes, wow.
I actually had more time for these markets to set up! I had another market where I only had about 30 minutes but these I had some more time!

I’m gonna go for it on Sunday or at least I’m in the mindset that I’m gonna try to do it lol

Thank you so much!! Thankfully even though the last market was crazy I am emotionally healed from it haha
Wow that pop 11:11 of pink with your new rug is so great ❤
Thank you so much! I wish I could've gotten a fluffy rug but that probably would get so gross so fast lol
You did an awesome job..I really enjoy your videos😊

Hey!! Love this, new sub here🥰
Hey!! I'm so glad you liked it!! I'm still out here grinding so you have lots to catch up on/look forward to lol
Hi there! I am wondering about your hangers from the tent and how they work!
I’m cracking up at these kids playing Rage, especially at an event like the one you were at.
Also I feel like organizers need to do their due diligence and make sure they’re putting vendors in a good spot and not just going off of business names.
I live in the Midwest and tipping would not go over well here. In fact, you would lose customers.
I was so shook!!! I literally called all the members of my family to tell them right away it was so funny to me!!
I know that was a bit of a struggle but I was in contact with them after and we got it figured out lol
I do wonder how it would go over here, another vender friend did it and did really well but I feel like I couldn't do it!!
You need to whip up some quick kiddy bags!
I really do!!!
Just wondering when you do the venue tours, do you just leave your booth or is there someone watching it for you?
I just leave my booth and hope for the best lol

Hey! I hope you're doing well!

@@googoogoods I definitely get it, it took me a few tries to come up with a name that stuck, and changing everything is a pain!
Can your diaper bags be used for a computer backpack❤
Hey, yes they can! I use it for my computer bag/travel bag when flying!
Thanks

I’m a vendor. I do no tipping
It's definitely a mixed bag, I see positive and negative reviews but I'm too nervous to even try it!
I think it's silly to get tagged for hearing background music. We've all heard the songs/ music all over the place
I know it's so annoying! I could barely hear it when listening to it and it was obvious I wasn't using it as part of my video it was just playing in the public area I was in so I wasn't stealing music!!

To Test Jesus in people...😂😂😂
I know I was majorly tested all weekend really!!
