I gave up on this franchise a long time ago. Just here to enjoy the panel. But now I sort of want to see this. 🤷♂️ I like the main idea behind this franchise more than I like the actual movies, if that makes sense.
I agree, it's quite unique I like it when they bring in past historic eras to spice things up so the first four films are fine with me but need none of the sequels after that.
I love Hellraiser Bloodline. It's got its shortcomings but its still a solid Hellraiser movie & Pinhead is great. Sorry not sorry to be Un-PC but, NOBODY should play Pinhead other than Doug Bradley!!!!!
I dug it. Maybe I was just in the right mood that day. The cenobites looked great and the lead actress was really good. Yes, the puzzle box was too easy though. Hey Jamie, my employer owns an old Hills building. Turned it into a warehouse.
One of the very few reboots worth a damn. Not sure if it was because Clive Barker was more directly involved or what but this movie updated some things without being silly or contrived. One caveat was how basically it’s now the ultimate murder box if used right. They need to work out the bugs and loopholes. One thing the comics and books kinda established was it was the intent not the hands that summon the cenobites. Guess the brother fell through the cracks or hell needs the HR department to step in and sort that shit. My dad was also a big Terry Ferris fan, so much so he named one of his Boxers Dax (not going to try and read anything into it). Oh and there were mail cenobites. Floating face guy was a dude. Chatterer was maybe a dude. Beyond that yeah a lot more girl power.
I actually really liked the movie, a contrarian I guess. I’m a huge fan of this show just dudes taking about fun stuff! Merry Christmas to all on the show and all of us watching.
I lasted forty minutes. The film looks great, but I was simply bored. No horror film should be this long. On a separate note, it was great to have Mr. Alo back as he was sorely missed.
There are 11 of them? I knew about 1-3, but nothing else. I had assumed this was a reboot of the original, reboots being the thing in Hollywood over the past few decades.
Having watched the film, I enjoyed just the last 2 minutes, with the transformation of Voight. It seemed I watched a whole film that was passable but raised my expectations for a sequel that may be better!
I have zero interest in this movie, like none; BUT, I'm def interested in watching you guys review it. Hopefully Alo trashes this good, can't imagine this movie is any good.
I've seen all these, and to quote the man himself, if you try to watch them all your suffering will be legendary, even in hell! 1. Hellbound: Hellraiser II (it's pretty insanely creative) 2. Hellraiser (man, Julia was totally into Frank) 3. Inferno (this is the Craig Sheffer one that's not really a Hellraiser movie, but it's fine) 4. Hellseeker (this is the Ashley Laurence return one, also has Dean Winters from "Oz" as the male lead) 5. Bloodline (it's bonkers) 6. Hellraiser (2022; I can't think of a movie I wanted to watch less than this) 7. Deader (another that wasn't a Hellraiser movie at first, there's a cult called "The Deaders" in this) 8. Hell on Earth (worst cenobites ever) 9. Judgment (the best thing about this one is that it's only 81 minutes long) 10. Hellworld (godawful, but Katheryn Winnick is in leather pants the whole movie, so there's that) 11. Revelations (one of the worst movies I've ever seen) The Amityville Horror series is somehow worse, btw.
I'm guessing the mansion has some kind of magic to the gates with the look of the design and their stopping power. It's beyond me why that's never touched on in the film, because otherwise those mfs should be able to just teleport in lol.
Watched the movie around Thanksgiving. I liked it, but I was confused by it. So, I'll probably watch it again. I guess that's the thing with Horror movies: make the characters unlikable so you're glad when Pinhead kills them. I didn't hear anyone bash the GCI. Also, for those that didn't know, Jamie Clayton is trans. It's interesting that someone mentioned Pinhead's voice. I recently realized that Doug Bradley's voice was slowed down. I think that you guys should rank the four main theatrical Hellraiser movies, and ignore the direct-to-video ones that started out as an unrelated thing. I would be interested to hear some thoughts on the Jordan Peele movies. I have only seen Us. Didn't like that movie, because of the ending. Should I watch his other movies?
I too am tired of seeing films being rebooted or remake over and over again to the point where I had enough of it. I wish more people would just say, "No" to reboots or remakes and demand to see new things brought to the big screen already.
Chris Alo,as bad as the Hellraiser franchise has been after part 3,The Leprechaun, and Amityville franchise is pure SHIT!last Amity the freaking house was in godamn space,no joke
Hellraiser is one of my top 3 80s horror movies, but as a franchise is fucking garbage. I don't like any of the sequels at all, and they just get worse and worse. I saw up until Hellworld and it was not worth it. Haven't watched this new one mostly because of the 2 hour runtime. Horror movies rarely need to be this fucking long, let's go back to the 90 minute gold standard, please.
How was it embarrassing? Can't be any worse than the straight-to-video movies, which weren't originally Hellraiser movies. They started out as different movies, but were re-written as Hellraiser movies. There is one(Dealer) that Pinhead was barely in
Wow .. This dude Craig is a serious bean counter ... How do people with this mindset ever enjoy a movie? 😂 .... Guy sounds like he probably has more fun balancing his checkbook than watching horror fantasy movies.... I don't understand why part 2 is so revered? Other than some of the visuals it's pretty cheesy compared to the first one. There's no way part 2 is better than this new one either. I get the love for the nostalgia and all ... but that one definitely doesn't hold up.
No one ever agrees with me but I’ve always liked Hell Raiser 4 Bloodline. I thought it was better than part 3. I love Hellraiser but most of the movies do suck lol For me it’s the first 2 and Bloodline. Now the new Hulu movie was pretty good. This franchise should have some better flicks lol 4 outta 11 isn’t the best track record lol
I personally think that ALL of the Hellraiser movies SUCK ......... including the first one. Cenobites??? Sounds like the name of a childs cinnamon flavored breakfast cereal.
Why don’t they do a film adaptation of the Scarlett gospels by Clive barker. it’s action packed and pinhead is absolutely terrifying in it,even taking on satan.there’s loads more barker books they could do he’s far superior to Stephen king I’d even put graham masterson dean Koontz, Peter straub James Herbert before king who hasn’t put out a tidy book since insomnia fucking years ago.
@@JIF882 It was way too long, the cenobites were used like slasher monsters and I stopped caring about the characters before it was half-way through. IMO everything about it was run-of-the-mill. People complained about the last Halloween movie but for me it was a masterpiece compared to this.

Bloodline is highly underrated
I'm definitely going to crack it open!

Can you rank the Chucky films?

I love 1 ,really like 2 and enjoy 3 after that they blow chunks.

Hellraiser has great potential, but they never seem to nail it, even the 80s ones.
I lasted forty minutes. The film looks great, but I was simply bored. No horror film should be this long. On a separate note, it was great to have Mr. Alo back as he was sorely missed.
New horror movies tend to be pretty dull, the genre has lost the ability to tell gripping stories.
Thanks lads, always a pleasure.
Please review “X” and “Pearl” next!
I've been reading about this one for such a long time, and it still isn't available where I live.
I'm with you Craig.I had a harder time looking at Riley than I did looking at the Cenobites and the gore. She(?)looked like a teenage boy.
There are 11 of them? I knew about 1-3, but nothing else. I had assumed this was a reboot of the original, reboots being the thing in Hollywood over the past few decades.
I actually think Revelation and Judgement are better than any since part II.
I could barely get through this movie.
or this episode...
@@J.G.M.Jr. How so?
2 hours is too long for a Hellraiser movie.
Alo’s been Drinking!!! This should be Great!!!

First 3 and this new one for me, not sure if i like hell on earth or the new one more though tbh. Bloodlines is my fifth fave
Hellraiser series went down the shitter after part 2.
The same can be said for;Alien,Predator,Terminator.
I have the first three films and have not considered watching them. I do love the comic book adaptions of Clive Barker’s short stories!
The first 2 movies are great horror movies.
Dan Brown [downstairs man cave] leads an interesting life.
Hellbound is the Mt. Everest of entire franchise, with the original and Hell On Earth followed right behind.
I have zero interest in this movie, like none; BUT, I'm def interested in watching you guys review it. Hopefully Alo trashes this good, can't imagine this movie is any good.
I think it looks awful too what I've seen of it like 95% of today's productions, still haven't seen all of it yet but I don't doubt it'll suck... 😜
I haven't watch the new one and like you guys said one and two the only ones I really have liked

Gotta watch the new film finally. Don’t expect much.
I've watched all of them, and own everyone but the newest one. I would probably rank the new one within the top 5 of the franchise.

Jamie rockin a Hills shirt. I worked at a Hills department store in the mid to late 80s....

I like parts of Inferno Part V. The country western bar scene is very cool.
Hellraiser 2022? Too slow...too long...too safe...too 2022.
The latest Hellraiser movie was an embarrassment. No redeeming qualities!
