I'm norwegian with a tunisian wife and ive watched every video of your tunisia journey now except 2-3. I think you have managed to visit most of the nice places so far, but unless you visited in the few vids im yet to watch, i would recommend some areas around the capital especially if you're interested in seeing roman tunisia like you did in el jem. There are many cool places around carthage, and La Marsa is my favourite place in all of tunisia despite it being quite small. Monastir is another place you should have visited when you were very close already in sousse. Glad youre enjoying so far :) And yeah sadly, litter waste and garbage is a huge problem in Tunisia, it's one of my few complaints about the country.
I’ve only just started to watch this video and would like to just say something about the rubbish on the beach. I’ve witnessed rubbish being washed up from the sea on windy days or when the rain has washed it down via wadis . It’s not necessarily been left there by people, although , admittedly the rubbish was left somewhere in the first place for it to get there. I asked a taxi driver to take me to Hergla about 20 years ago, he laughed and asked why …he said there was nothing there ! This is why I wanted to go. So hopefully I’ll visit in September.
This litter is thrown by people, we were there for a week and everyday watched groups of people dump it all upon leaving. Sad times. Hergla is lovely though, and those beaches if kept clean would be gorgeous!
Have you noticed something? There are almost no young people at all. Young people often migrate to the capital or outside the country, leaving small villages like this empty and full of elders 30 years later and this village will become a ghost town
