its cuz when india had been token by the brit government the Sikh empire rose and, in 1984 the Indian army stormed and attacked the holiest place in amritsar which killed some of the Sikh militants fighting for the protection - October 31 1984, two of Gandhis bodyguards assassinated her for revenge, the next day Hindu mobs started rioting the Punjab area raping many women, killing and burning kids and men, thats why punjabis refuse calling themselves Indian cause of the nihang order and the akal sena and the riots.

nearly all the Gurdwaras serve 'Guru ka Langar' food, just ask any sevadars(volunteers) or bhai ji(Sikh Priests).
Once in while in today's day and age perhaps you can google to get relevant info on place you are at/visiting..

This was a preemptive visit to India for me. American who became Sikh 5 years ago haven't had the chance to visit yet, still in the planning stage. I've seen a few other videos but yours was the best peek into a day in the life. I love the food it is my main connection in learning some of the language. I enjoyed hearing you try to converse with them it's very similar to my experience each week at my local gurdwara. Cheers!!

Hi Ellis and Alicia, a Sikh friend of mine from Manchester ( I'm in Bolton) suggested two places in Punjab - Jalandhar and Patiala. Also as you're lovers of a good cuppa how about travelling to the tea plantations of Assam ??

This is the most intriguing vlog I have ever seen. You looked perfect in that small turban. It's been a few years since I've lived in Canada, and I miss these streets and Tarn Tarn Sahib; it felt good to visit the place in this vlog. Definitely, every person from Punjab in this video portrayed a very good picture of honesty, kindness, and gratefulness. I hope to have this kind of short video again!!!!!

I would 100% agree with this! Being a woman born and raised in Amritsar, Punjab, I can proudly say, nobody could dare say/ do anything inappropriate to me while I walked on the streets! If you’re in trouble, people around you will come right away to you and offer you help! And it is not about religion or anything, I am a hindu! We all Punjabis are like that! It’s the air and the vibrations!

Sikh people are very helpful and welcoming. Anybody is welcome in a Sikh temple and able to eat a healthy meal at no cost, but one can give a donation if they can afford it. I have a good friend who is a Sikh and learned quite a lot about it.
