Galub Jamun is one of my favorite sweets on the Indian buffet, it reminds me of pancakes and syrup for breakfast. Tastes pretty close to real maple syrup and they use cardomom pods in pure sugar water to make the syrup. So good!!
Super! The jalebi batter can be made out of many kinds of flours - refined wheat flour/ semolina/ rice and many other admixture or variants. And then dunked into sugar syrup, that can also come in premium or normal variants...some with rose water added, saffron added etc. Enjoy...best!
@@EllisWR There r also rabadi jalebi, basically less sweetened creamy pure milk rabadi on top of jalebi; There's also Mawa jalebi specially found in madhya pradesh, they r made of mawa/khoya/khowa (which is dairy food made of either dried whole milk or full fat milk thickened by heating in an open iron pan, Its lower in moisture than typical fresh cheeses such as ricotta) instead of flour batter, And also chhena Jalebi found in state Orrisa made of chhena (fresh indian curd cheese) Gulab jamun is made of whole wheat flour & khoya mix dough balls (in east states also mix 'chhena') fried in ghee/oil then dip in sugar syrup.

I've been watching you guys for a while now because you guys actually take roads not taken by most travellers. I only wish you pay for your food. I feel like you guys are taking advantage of poor vendors and locals by overusing their generosity. In many Asian cultures, there's give and take... You guys are obviously better off than most vendors you take food or things from. It's nice to just pay your share instead of just waking away without paying... It kind of became jaded and even my Indian boyfriend agrees that some of your videos make him upset.

Omggg every time we go to Amritsar from Chandigarh, we eat at the same spot. Their chaat, gol gappe and dahi bhalle are very popular and good. I wish I met you there and took you to all good spots😂😂 ( also a lil suggestion: in India we prefer not to have fish and milk products together like fish and lassi shouldn’t be had together so be careful guys next time )

Too difficult. Can we eat South Indian for 2/3 days then have North Indian for 1 day and repeat aha. South Indian food is fresher and healthier, northern is good but definitely heavier usually

The veg thali with rice, daal/kadhi/rasam, papad, salad, pickle, multiple numbers of sabzi/curry u had in kerala is how in many north, east indian homes eaten too but mostly by cook at home or only sold in highway side dhabbas, not so fancy/traditional fooding place aka Not sold like it do in south, i like how in south they sell the simple non-fancy stuff just the way they eat & what they eat at home while in North dishes at home is world's apart from what heavy, fancy we typically get outside in restaurants, streets; there also several upper/far northern state & eastern state where they do eat similar way as south aka mostly rice based fresh non-heavy dishes

@@Absoluteability I can't say on that one because it's not really our thing. If you want western style cafes etc best heading to somewhere more tourist orientated. Tamil Nadu is a bit mad everywhere unless you head into the towns villages. Maybe some parts of Kerala along the coast you'll have both jungle mountains and nice coast there. Or Goa possibly but I know nothing about it over there. I mean I recommend visiting India as more of a fun trip with maybe a break at the end in one of those places for a while. It is just an attack on the senses aha we can't relax there for a while.

@@Absoluteability I can't say on that one because it's not really our thing. If you want western style cafes etc best heading to somewhere more tourist orientated. Tamil Nadu is a bit mad everywhere unless you head into the towns villages.
Maybe some parts of Kerala along the coast you'll have both jungle mountains and nice coast there. Or Goa possibly but I know nothing about it over there.
I mean I recommend visiting India as more of a fun trip with maybe a break at the end in one of those places for a while. It is just an attack on the senses aha we can't relax there for a while.
