We're in the countrysides near the Tamil Nadu/Kerala border and it's bloody wonderful.
We spent the whole day wandering around enjoying the incredible Indian countrysides all while meeting some of the friendliest locals and eating some of the very best food.
For us these are the most beautiful parts of India 🇮🇳

Visit Vizag. We have good beaches, church, old Buddist monasteries, ancient Temples, and very scenic locations.
Countryside pls
Pongal is major festival in Tamilnadu so ur going 2 see people thronging to public places,
Also mostly in major cities u find migrant workers from other states esp north ... Doing the jobs like in shops, tea makers , serving in restaurant. .
And importantly Tamilnadu faced one the worst storms and rainfalls, floods so the coastal areas are flooded streets and dirty beaches ...
And in Chennai u picked the old inner-city areas which are basically commercial so only moving of goods and going to be too hectic .... not too good to have a good easy walkaround. ...
This place u chose is a good small village. Anyway what's it called. .is it Tamilnadu or kerala. ..GUESS IT'S TN.
I have not seen anyone showing Indian village so beautifully.

I have watched a lot of foreign youtubers visiting India. But to be honest ur the real OG tourist ur visiting nook and corner of tamilnadu. Respect 🫡🫡. If you have time do visit kelladi in madurai you'll get to know the rich history of Tamils.

Your suggestion is good, but not everyone is interested in history and archaeology, most of the people want to explore current culture, food, lifestyle, etc .

I am a Malaysian-born Indian of Tamil origin.....really tears moistened my eyes looking at your vlogs......obviously you made me miss my ancestral land......terrific vlogs seeing you mingling with people so easily and casually...my late grandma always tells me, that India is a land of spiritual wisdom.....looking at your vlogs made me realise how correct was my grandma.....people with pure souls, full of smiles & typical Tamil hospitality..all I could recollect was my grandmother's saying of a hymn in Sanskrit ' MAATHRU DEVO BHAVA, PITHRU DEVO BHAVA, AASAANYA DEVO BHAVA ADHITHI DEVO BHAVA" - literally meaning, mother, father, teachers & guests are akin to gods..so accord them reverence and treat them kindly with respect like how you revere GOD. I felt as if traversing with you and Alishha along the journey. God bless you both, Ellis. & Alisha..have a wonderful stay in my ancestral land, where my soul always is

I’m from Padmanabhapuram (Kanyakumari district)and watching this video from Birmingham (England) makes me miss my hometown more.
It's sooooo nice. People are amazing
One thing i want to appreciate is you are not being judgemental towards workers/people in small or very old restaurants in rural places. You are being polite towards them and the villagers are very supportive.
To experience the culture, one has to visit the village. At one point half the village will be at market, then some chit chat, temple, festivals. Villages are a vibe

@@EllisWR Have a good time! Try visiting Kerala for your next state. It’s more tropical and lush green. Each state in India has unique culture, festivals, language, food etc
If you can extend your visa and would like to visit desert like landscape you can visit Rajasthan. If you like snowy mountains visit Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh, J&K in the north. If you want to visit the hippie modern India you can visit Bangalore, Mumbai etc

First of all this is not an remote area, its padmanapuram municipality , moreover kanyakumari district has more urban area with high population density .
It's really relaxing when u go away from chaos of big cities to villages.
It's heavenly
This is charm of typical Indian small town where people have lot of time. Believe me small towns in India are quite like this. Young people move to Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai for jobs. People cook using firewood , sit together for chatting, enjoy lunch together , people devote time for religious duty, people live in nature.

During lunch the guys in the background were discussing with the owner like “tell them what is the combination to eat, don’t just name them… He was about to eat the whole piece of pickle.. you have to lick it for the mild taste not the whole thing” in tamil

I couldn’t see any one forcing their business on the tourist and also, we could see many ladies becoming entrepreneurs & they speak with so much of confidence. The "Thuckalay ❤ " location of this RUclipsr is in Tamil Nadu's Kanyakumari district. These folks and the town they live in are excellent. There are organic food options accessible. Indians, please remember that you will always have wonderful recollections from your visit to Thuckalay Town.

This is the place where state and union regime blast mountain and bring it to kerala for biding friends port. They are destroying thus nature and ckam and quite and humble people life. Everyday 6000 trucks of load of broken mountain with bleeding TN earth was dnuged each day..
Then all the guys in that village will be living for 100+ years

Indian food is full of flavors some foreigners can't take easily. Travelers are lucky they eat any food. I am jealous, i try only veg 😒

Rural TN is heaven... Look how wealthy and peaceful they are... Some really wealthy houses there.
They focused on education rather than bringing fringe elements like religions to the mainstream.
Literacy rate in Kanyakumari district is 91.75 percent that wealth came from education

Rural part of india is greatest adventure wheter its south india ....northeast , ladakh , kashmir , rajsthan , punjab , madhyapradesh all are different in culture and great rural adventure.

Nice video and you landed in a real South Indian town. You don't have to say thank you for every serving, only at the end with a compliment about the meal. Pickle is to be eaten with yogurt rice at the end, not by itself or with rice alone.

Incredible India. Variety of food, people of different faiths, warm and friendly people, different geography, language but living together.
The name of the dress washing by a man is VAETTI that is a traditional dress for men in Tamilnadu.
wow! that fresh air and those coconut trees and everything looks green and the people are friendly and loving pure hearts with much postivity around makes one feel amazed this type of environment only comes from southern parts of india...
But no waste management anywhere in India. All pristine places are filled with plastic.
