Mid map is still mid. Sure, it's not Tranzit bad, but it's not good either. And people are allowed to like mid things, even bad things, I like Tranzit. But that doesn't make it good.
Thanks for putting this together. I think it's probably around 95% accurate, though as we discussed when you asked me a bunch of questions about what I knew about all of it, I and a bunch of people hold that any modification of the code that changes how the game works renders gameplay on that version of the game noncompetitive and therefore unable be counted the same as gameplay on the original version made by the Treyarch Studios and played by millions of players over the years. Lambster is the current record holder at 228, played on the same version of the game that the developer sold to everyone who bought Black Ops 2. This game holds many dear memories for many people and it's great to see a collection/summary of information about the longest runs ever on Mob of the Dead. My experience on it changed the course of my life forever both in and outside of Call of Duty and I still feel the effects of this today, 9 years later. Hopefully the definitive version of Black Ops 2 will be released as an official remaster from Activision soon, and the world will have another look at the map then and will be able to see all the things that people have learned over the years about the game take shape in the form of gameplay under an official, definitive version of Mob of the Dead that no one can argue over. Then we will be able to close this book. What a legacy of a game though. I don't think any Call of Duty Zombies experience has ever surpassed Mob of the Dead as far as making such a memorable environment to match the concept of Zombies.

im assuming youre talking about plutonium/redacted when you talk about modifications and ik its a mod to the game however if it doesnt give a gameplay advantage however fixes technical issues it probably should be allowed since it only unlocks new potential high rounds and records. i do get though that once you allow this then maybe patches come into question and so on and its easier to just not allow anything.
@@S2nppyhonestly at this point it would be just easier to separate the categories of original game and redacted instead of arguing over what is legitimate or not, it's already strange that there's only one category for every platform given we know it's superior on certain platforms than others, that just sounds unfair to me and is already bottlenecking what ways people can even play the game if they hope to get the record, doubly so considering someone had to literally buy a new Xbox just to stop some of the erroring, a console that is far past being supported at this point.

11:38 I think it's already solved. I looked it up and the a similar error of Hunk alloc happened in Quake 3 and to quote the page "The value is the number of megabytes of RAM that is reserved on start up for Hunk_Alloc to use." I think it's because Spacemarine and others have very little storage left on their Xboxs and thus because of how big the game files are, once it reaches a certain amount of bytes the game recognizes the little storage left on the console and sends some sort of signal to the game causing it to crash
Nah, it's a different reason. Probably a memory leak of some sort that only happens when doing specific things. Hunk_alloc needs 3MB on BO2, which means that if the memory leak runs the game out of RAM the error will happen.

Origins since I feel it has a lot to explain when it comes to what it takes to actually be able to run, especially since it has a much shorter run time of about 25-26 hours due to the animation error
dude you should try to sound less depressed in your videos. The content is so interesting but your voice has me looking through the recommended tab. Since this is clearly in the Summoning Salt style you should really look at how he makes things more interesting with the way he talks about things. (He doesn't use a monotone history teacher voice to lul me to sleep)

A little thing I remember about SufferedFlyer is that he had another youtube channel (probably called gaming ninja but I don't exactly remember) which had a ton more content like MW3 survival games and some zombie stuff. All these videos are likely lost to time now seeing as the channel got terminated. If I had to guess his channel was taken down because of this one video I recall called "I found a sausage in MW3" (not sure if it was mw3 or 2) where he ranted about some guy he was up against in multiplayer. Anyways in this video I quite clearly remember him showing a pair of boobaz. Seeing as youtube cracked down on its moderation I assume his channel got auto flagged sometime around 2015. Anyways figured I might aswell share this tidbit of lore xD
Oh hahaha interesting! The hardest part of the research for this video was probably actually figuring out whether SufferedFlyer or Spacemarine got the first 200 on the map. They both got their first 200 within a month of each other, and since almost all of Suffered's content is gone it was really hard to nail down the dates, but luckily his auto-tweeting twitter saved the day because I found an indication on there that it was him. And thank you, this map has some of the best music in zombies so I was really glad I could use it for this video!

Amazing video and very insightful for personal runs myself :) I do have one question though, if not building the acid gat kit keeps an entity from being factored into the reset, could players sacrifice the zombie shield and potientally push the reset far enough to get a confirmed extra round?
Thank you and good question! I didn't mention it at all in the video, but the zombie shield is pretty critical to survival on this map. Since the zombies are often spawning from all directions, it takes a lot of the hits off you and keeps your momentum. If you didn't build it it would add some time to the reset, but that time would probably be taken away from all the extra downs you'd take. So far, I haven't seen anyone try to play without it.
@@Wunderfulx huh okay interesting, I just had a revelation cross my mind last night after watching your video and hearing about how avoiding the acid gat buildable can extend the reset. Just thought it might be something to consider, but mob is notoriously close quarters when it comes to high round strats, but maybe someone could attempt with no shield and see how they do :0
So, how can I say it? Sometimes, the shield just stops to count and none knows why it happens but it can be a coincidence and accidentally the person removed the last mysterious entitie. Some games I was 248 and down to 247, 247 and down to 246, but I never downed 246 to 245 and I never see 245 to 244 😅

I do have another question though, is it not possible to run onlyfans strat the entire game? I was thinking if someone was able to, they could open up the previously closed doors needed for acid trap/stairs strategy which would remove entities, giving players more time while also using a faster but riskier strategy. Unless it's not possible/too much risk with not enough reward to run the strat for the entire game

I actually remember seeing video years ago of a Saudi player getting around round 800 in mob, he said that he spent 3 months to get to that round, 1 round is 2 hours long, because the video was Arabic the western community doesn’t know about it, unfortunately I didn’t found the video now but I will try to get proof.

25:05 it do be like that sometimes 😂😂. it's been forever since i been involved, or participated in the comunity. but the older pokemon games (like gen 4 or 5. don't remember which one) is somehow hardware dependent, i don't remember what it affects, but it could save up to 25-30 minutes depending on how perfect your ds, dsi, 3ds was for said problem in the code in the any% glitchless. i played originally on my dsi (love the firm button responses), but i tried for shits and giggles on my often forgotten ds. ended up being only 2 minutes slower even though losing like 9 minutes or something due to the buttons being so loose and sloppy feeling. games are weird, and it blows my mind that. the same exact hardware will run the same game differently
I got to round 74 solo and each round started to take over an hour to complete so I self downed. I have so much respect for the people who keep pushing for higher rounds. It's truly exhausting and hard to grind. ❤
STranzit and die rise being hated is a myth spread by the most influential youtubers, everyone I know likes the maps and wants them back, Bo2 is the best
More people hate the maps then like them, a lot of people who never got into zombies liked tranzit but mainly for the concept and never did things like open pap, let alone high rounds, Die Rise has the potential to be fixed very easily (so does tranzit) hence why people not only want it back but people are remaking them on bo3 but those versions are being fixed, it still stands tho that the problems they had despite being easily fixable by the devs, are just to problematic
Hard agree, although I think generally they were less well received than other zombies maps. those two maps were unpopular with zombies youtubers at the time. but everyone I ever played with loved Tranzit at the very least. I remember people getting frustrated at Die Rise, but I only knew one person who hated Die Rise. Now, after Mob came out, absolutely no one wanted to play Transit or Die Rise anymore, and I definitely saw more negativity towards those maps generally, but that also extended afterward to Buried.
Tranzit and Die Rise, the 2 worst received maps in zombies history? Vanguard and Advanced Warfare exist you know... I know those 2 maps weren't liked but i have a hard time believing those were the worst.
Has anyone ever tried to see if low points affected error rate eg ending a game with 10000000 vs 1000 even if it was round 100 wud it made a difference to anything? I dont mean jus this map i mean in genral
@@Yutyo6 if you get the 25 day error your game will blackscreen, if you reset the intro cutscene will start playing again. If you get an error message like the gspawn that’s based on something you’re doing in the game, so pause time doesn’t count for that

my xbox 360 only had black ops 2 installed on it since i moved from ps3 to xbox to only play bo2

STranzit and die rise being hated is a myth spread by the most influential youtubers, everyone I know likes the maps and wants them back, Bo2 is the best
More people hate the maps then like them, a lot of people who never got into zombies liked tranzit but mainly for the concept and never did things like open pap, let alone high rounds, Die Rise has the potential to be fixed very easily (so does tranzit) hence why people not only want it back but people are remaking them on bo3 but those versions are being fixed, it still stands tho that the problems they had despite being easily fixable by the devs, are just to problematic
Hard agree, although I think generally they were less well received than other zombies maps.
those two maps were unpopular with zombies youtubers at the time. but everyone I ever played with loved Tranzit at the very least. I remember people getting frustrated at Die Rise, but I only knew one person who hated Die Rise.
Now, after Mob came out, absolutely no one wanted to play Transit or Die Rise anymore, and I definitely saw more negativity towards those maps generally, but that also extended afterward to Buried.

Tranzit and Die Rise, the 2 worst received maps in zombies history? Vanguard and Advanced Warfare exist you know... I know those 2 maps weren't liked but i have a hard time believing those were the worst.
transit and die rise are considered to be the worst maps because not many people played vanguard and aw zombies :D

Has anyone ever tried to see if low points affected error rate eg ending a game with 10000000 vs 1000 even if it was round 100 wud it made a difference to anything? I dont mean jus this map i mean in genral

I believe ZWR actually has a technical rule against trap timers, so they won't put it up. But most players I've talked to consider it the record.

@Wunderfulx the 25 days error being the one that gives the error message?
@@Yutyo6 if you get the 25 day error your game will blackscreen, if you reset the intro cutscene will start playing again. If you get an error message like the gspawn that’s based on something you’re doing in the game, so pause time doesn’t count for that
