The Prosecutor should have asked the jurors to put themselves in Tatiana’s shoes and ask what would they have wanted the Officer to do?? This was a welfare check not a Burglary in process call. Police are PAID to put themselves in danger to PROTECT & SERVE all citizens.
In her final seconds this Officer showed no mercy and didn’t give medical aid to Tatiana. In fact he probably hoped she wld die and it would only be his words to excuse this murder.
His attitude on the stand showed he didn’t care then and doesn’t care now. He should have stayed at home but Tatiana is a taxpayer and Oates his salary to PROTECT HER. He wasn’t doing her a FAVOR he was supposed to be doing his JOB.

@@Nall412 you can forgive a person and still hold them accountable. I 100% believe that that man has no intentions of killing someone and that it was a reason. However he has to be held accountable for his poor choice of actions. He intruded on someone's property without announcing himself, he flashed a light at someone without announcing himself. And within half a sec of giving orders ( again without announcing himself) he shot and killed that woman. You and I both heard the same trial where he admitted to mishaps along the way. He created the dangerous environment that led to her death, not her. She responded how any other legal gun owner would when someone is trespassing on their property and flashing lights in there window at 2 am. We already know that she stays in a rough neighborhood, why would she assume it's the police and not a criminal that she has to protect not only her but her family.
But even after the accident, he never gives care. He never tries to stop the bleeding. If this was an accidental again as an officier you give care to the victim (especially if you're the cause of damage)
No matter how you spin it he messed up multiple times and should spend time on prison. Not 99 years but I certainly believe 15-20 years is appropriate with parole

That's why he made sure his partner was ready. He purposely went straight to the window because he knew he had his gun ready and his partner ready on his left. He wanted it.

It doesn't matter WHEN you make the decision to kill or use force that a resonable person would know can kill... he said he made the decision to shoot he shot her, a RESONABLE person knows that SHOOTING someone is likely to kill them and a cop CERTAINLY knows that's why using a gun is called DEADLY FORCE!

The scene was observed and officers determined it was possible burglary in progress. What adult shovels hamburgers in oven and go play shooting games, causes a fire, leaves front door wide open and goes back to playing shooting games! All this with minor in the house! Officers didn’t just go there because they had nothing better to do and they don’t shoot occupants! I would have done the same especially when nobody bothered to mention there suppose to be a child in the house. If it wasn’t the case then why didn’t the neighbor shout fir the occupants after he observed the trash and the door open? Why did he stated he would have but he has no gun and he doesn’t feel save to go there! So what makes you think the officers should have handled this differently than the neighbor? The first thing one would do is get the child of the bed and shelter with the gun in their hand ready for to protect themselves and call 911 not grab a gun and go pointing it at a window simply because it’s their house. Too many shooting games! You don’t grab a gun and leave a child on the bed exposed to danger! If anyone feels threatened or in danger they wouldn’t stand on the window, but grab the child and the gun and call 911! If she had done this dispatcher would have told her that’s officers on scene very likely and to stay where she is until the dispatcher checked with the officers! I’ve never seen it even in movies someone grabbing a gun and going straight to the window in dark! Exactly why the officer fired! Who on the right mind would think terrified occupants would hold a gun behind a window exposed…
