Wish this happened at the start of the expansion. I'll admit that the old mini-boss theme really ruined the flow and atmosphere of Amaurot for me. Better late then never though.
It's by "The Primals", which includes Soken as one of their members. They cover alot of XIV songs that are used in various areas of the game, including Ultimate raids.
No matter what anyone else says, this will always be my favorite midboss theme. The others were just... less memorable and felt more generic, but I can’t help bop my head anytime this theme starts playing.

I got Amaurot for level 80 roulette. I'm sure I'll get used to it but this didn't seem like a good fit compared to the old theme for the first two bosses.
I really like this version a lot it's so fitting. The first time you hear Insatiable in the first dungeon it starts slow and has a buildup as if the boss is such a new terror to you and its agression in attack patterns is nothing like you've ever seen in past bosses before. By the time you start hearing this version you've faced so many of the threats of the first and have gotten used to fighting the ferocious bosses of this foreign land that the theme just starts hard and wont let up as if this place has already battle hardened you and you're telling the bosses that YOU are the threat this time. This track is pure HYPE! 👏👏
The older ones were arranged by Takeharu Ishimoto who composed the original Dissidia OST, Crisis Core, Type-0, Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep and from volume 1 - 3 of Dissidia NT he left Square Enix late last year. That's why Vol. 4 is outsourced to other composers and PRIMALS

That way, it'd be a nice ramp up in intensity. As things are right now, it sounds like the OST mellows out when we fight the big bad.
I dunno, i'm actually a bigger fan of this one over Insatiable. Insatiable makes sense for the main msq, but something about this one is just better for fights imo
Shame there's no Hard Mode Dungeons this time around. I would have loved if this played for the HMD Final Bosses rather than every mini-boss of Shadow Bringers.

I love how the first boss of Anamnesis Anyder is our first look at a Blasphemy, long before we knew what those were. It--or they--are so *fucked up* and grotesque compared even to sin eaters that they catch you off guard.
Its not a blasphemy, just a creation from an ancient. There's a FATE in Elpis that shows that it came out much different than the guy imagined, but he sent it for submission anyways.
This is really good but it kinda feels like they shoulda made a new dungeon boss theme to replace Insatiable if the mini bosses are going to use it too.
The change from the first theme to this one seems to be that this one feels a lot darker and deeper. Almost as if we're drifting too far into the darkness we once wanted to stop...

@@itsatentaquil3152 Wrong, it played the Stormblood midboss theme. The ARR midboss theme literally only plays in ARR dungeons. HW got a different one (To The Fore) and SB also got a different one (shortened version of Phantoms on the Lake retitled as "Persistence")
I only just hit the first dungeon of Shadowbringers today, what was the change they did? I keep seeing comments about how good the change was and I loved the first dungeon, but no comments on what the change itself actually was.

Mixed bag with this, I do like it, but it really does not fit some of the dungeons. Fighting the little frog in Dohn Mheg, in the elegant halls of Grand Cosmos or the sad landscape of Amaurot. It just doesn't really seem to fit that well with them.

Keeping it real: should have used this for all non-light warden final bosses in ShB dungeons and done something else for mid bosses.
I was trying to find this version on the official soundtrack but was sad to find it wasn’t there.
Insatiable (Scions & Sinners) is the name for this and it's on a seperate soundtrack.
This theme really threw me for a loop when I heard it day 1 in a Grand Cosmos run.
Sounds like it's really the remix from Dissidia NT, I wonder if Soken took part in it?
The Dissidia version was made by the PRIMALS, you know, the one that Soken works with? Its the same one.

I'm so glad they added these to the lvl 80 dungeons. The generic boss themes were so jarring and out of place.
This is a great theme, but it kinda weakens the impact of "Insatiable" on the final boss for me.

Was never much a fan of the mini boss fight theme - I do like this remix a lot more. That being said, Insatiable still takes the cake.
