The lyrics of eScape are all about Omega's loneliness as they drift through space, far away from the world they call home, all for the sake of a mission that they won't see to completion for eons. Maybe that's why A Long Fall uses the same motif and lyrics. It isn't just because Garlond Ironworks found a way to replicate Omega's spatial power (using it in conjunction with Alexander's temporal power), it's also because the lyrics of eScape fit G'raha really well. Well, he had to show Nero up, after Nero programmed those big Allagan speakers on that one PvP map to non-stop blast the music we keep hearing. And no, he won't change it.
If you read all the notes in the dungeon, it records how Biggs and Wedge attempt to save WoL after the eighth calamity. They first utilized the technology of the Allagan Empire (the crystal tower) to travel to in between other universe. Then they figured out Alexander's power so G'raha can travel back in time. And since it's such huge energy they are trying to transfer, this project was held until they find a way to combine Omega's power in travel between spaces. This project took three generations to complete and it was a hundred years after WoL's death. By then Cid and Nero were dead as well and these kids from Garlond Ironwork never met WoL in person and probably only heard about his/her legends in stories (the book written by Count Edmont). But they still decide to proceed with the project. All of these hardships they overcame, having G'raha carrying the last hope, so that you, the Warrior of Light, living in another universe, could be saved. For us players, raids and primal we defeated in 2.0 3.0 4.0, became the reason we are still alive and was able to save both worlds in 5.0....this design is so great. Soken: "Yo dawg I heard you like leitmotifs so I put a leitmotif in your leitmotif and then in another leitmotif so you can listen to Omega while listening to Alexander while listening to Crystal Tower."
To prevent a calamity in a version of their past, the future version of Garlond Ironworks and their allies had to send someone back in time and across the rift, from the Source to the First Shard. Crystal Tower had the energy needed, so they used records of the WoL raiding in HW and SB to build the Tycoon, which has power over time travel like its original, Alexander, and likely has the power to access the Interdimensional Rift, like Omega does.
FlippyMcGiantDad even so they couldn’t control the towers mechanisms and didn’t have the time or resources to research it further. So graha’ tia who was awoken by them reopening the tower made the jump for them since he had full control of the tower. This shit is gold how that side quest tied in to this.
@@samellis1675 Well, since the timeline that THIS tower came from is no longer around... there just has to be a new timeline for each of the other worlds. Harvest them like the Ascians harvest worlds!
Welcome to Final Fantasy! One of the greatest characters, a man by the name of Godbert, is well known for his chiseled abs, and the only character to have used a Limit Break using a Goldsmithing Hammer.
Those who jus speed through the dungeon. The reason why the theme is a mix of syrcus tower, omega and also alexander, is because biggs and wedge and of course the ironworks combined the ideas of omegas rift traveling , space and alexanders time manipulation using the crystal tower to circumnavigate the rift. My tears were shed while fighting the boss and i jus wanted to share it here as how soken who smartly made this track.
Shadowrbringers, more than anything, is about what it really means to be a hero. It isn't about saving the world, it isn't about how many damsels you save, how many gods you kill. It's about inspiring countless others, sowing seeds of hope for generations of tomorrow. The Twinning perfectly encapsulates this, and that's why it's my favorite dungeon. The WoLs tales, exploits, and good deeds, inspired others. Even in the worst timeline, Gra'Ha Tia, The Ironworks gang, inspired by you, your exploits, work so hard to make everything right. It took generations for this to take place. Over a hundred years. They use everything at their disposal. They reverse engineer unimaginably complex technology, they press on, all for the hope of tomorrow. It makes me very emotional. The Twinning is my favorite dungeon.
Thats why i think the choice of lyrics to include in this song whas very intentional and clever. "Time Try, dare the dead tread ahead on a road that is borrowed design. Through the sum of their sons do they seek tomorrow. Tonight, witness then as the end shall begin what was final." Time, a very obvious but important aspect to the dungeon. the dead(the people from the doomed future with the eight umbral calamity) are treading ahead on a road of borrowed design(borrowed from omega, the crystal tower and alagans, alexander and the predecessors of the ironworks over time). Through the sum of the work done by their successors they're trying to create a new tomorrow(not to mention"tomorrow" is a recurring motif within shadowbringers) The last lyric gets a bit confusing but you cold say that the end of the doomed timeline began the future of our original timeline("final").
@@arisgremory6504 not quite, since it’s a remix of eScape which was a song written through the lens of Omega. Speaking on the arrogance of the Allagans. Also more to the fact that Omega is literally a starship.

Don’t think it’s “Come ride, heroes, ride” it sounds like “Connect the lines/line” which could mean them connecting the timelines so that WoL doesn’t die
Starting from “Time”, it all just sounds like incomprehensible gibberish. I genuinely cannot understand a single word being said there. It’s just noise.
Almost 3 years later--this song is STILL one of the absolute best songs in the entire game--in a soundtrack full of absolute king shit bangers. Soken, you absolute legend.

(with the exception of zooming in on the initial mob group. * They threw in a segment of the syrcus tower theme into it. * The "Underworld" gives me flashbacks to the "Reactor 0" stage in Dirge of Cerberus underneath Midgar.

I would say Soken does pieces like this better than Uematsu, but given range of things Uematsu made over the decades from composing for a NES soundcard to international orchestras, you can't really surpass him, just rival some of his recent work.

Xerxes Chaoscore do you remember the cs with ryne and thancred at the end? The world beyond the flood wall? It’s strikingly similar to ff3 before reviving the water crystal Edit: after leaving the floating continent
The combined theme of Omega and Crystal tower, both who travel through dimensions, along with the final boss of Ironworks Alexander shows how much everyone in Ironworks tried everything to save us. These were also all the raids that Cid was a major part of, since Binding Coils, Rab and I think Dun Scaith were other people.
Yup. Twinning is basically an Ironworks greatest hits track. Combining concepts they learned from Crystal Tower, Alexander, and Omega, pooling all that knowledge, and leaving it in the hands of their descendants. The message from Biggs III after you complete the dungeon is a heart shot. XD
It's just a character talking about how they're sending off the exarch with all their hopes and such... but then its signed by 'Biggs, Third of his name, Eighteenth President of Garlond Ironworks.' The context there is kind of amazing.
@@Krescentwolf If you think about it even further, if this is the 3rd generation of Biggs then that means there still a number of years until the calamity happens. This combined with the fact that the Exarch didn't disappear means that the calamity is still going to happen and all their efforts were for naught. My prediction is that something the Exarch did or will do will be the thing that sparks the calamity in the first place.
The 8th Umbral Calamity wasn't a single moment like the 7th was with Bahamut. It started with Black Rose wiping out entire populations and essentially making the world go into a Mad Max Era where everyones killing everyone and most people are out for themselves. They mention over the course of the story that it took roughly 200 years after Black Rose dropped and Scions died before G'raha Tia was woken up along with the Crystal Tower. Where-upon he, Biggs III, and probably some other descendants working in the Garlond Ironworks put all the plans and research together to send G'raha and the Syrcus Tower back in time and to the First Shard. They missed the mark by about 100 years too, So G'raha Tia has been in the first for around that long.
just imagine, this is what garlond ironworks was able to accomplish with just what technology they had in the first. imagine what they could do with electrope.

Did you grasp the significance of the final boss? It seems like it was an Ironworks attempt to achieve what the Exarch later achieved, a piece of their research into that field of science. It speaks to how bad things got that they tried to recreate something which was such a major threat, knowing the risks.
@@jaeusa160 I don't think what the Exarch and the Ironworks did was seperate things. It was a collaboration, since the beacon bringing you to the First was of Ironworks make. "Think anyone in your band can beat ME in a duel?" The tank must then Right Click the "Deluxe Guitar" next to the stage in the next 10 seconds otherwise it's a wipe via Soken's "Face Melt" attack. after He/She does, they are forced into an Active Time Maneuver: a Duel with Soken in Theatrythm Final Fantasy's BMS style, and the song is Rise. (E-Scape if it's the normal version). if the tank misses a note, they take damage. but if SOKEN misses a note, HE takes damage. if the tank dies, instant wipe. however, Soken will never miss a note unless the rest of the party interferes. how? by damaging various concert equipment to distract Soken. if a piece of equipment gets to 50% HP, soken gets a debuff that makes him miss every few notes for a few seconds. if a piece of equipment is completely destroyed, soken will completely lose focus on the duel and throw out a few AoEs, missing all the notes that pass while in this state. only issue is that waves of adds show up to fight the rest of the party, and they give a damage buff to Soken for each alive. once the song is over, whoever missed less notes gets the buff "You Rock!", giving them an buff to attack and defense. however, soken is not pleased the party lived... "HOW ARE YOUR FACES NOT MELTED YET!?" At this point Soken Gets Rock-Hard Solo again, but also gets the debuff "Melting Face", which steadily chips away at his HP, stacking with each aoe, until the end of the fight. now it's just a dodging battle, but any attacks that do hit also inflict Melting Face. once Soken's HP hits zero, his face literally melts off his skull and he is defeated. So, How did i do? I'm no game designer, so this design may suck in practice.

The Crystal Tower as the introduction, A massive pool of aether that acts as a portal to a pocket dimension like Omega's, and lastly the reproduction of the technology that made up Alexander, all with the technology of the Garlond Ironworks littered around the place.

I played WoW from launch to Legion. I started FF14 last year and didn't realize how stark a difference the community is in FF. People are helpful and parties are way more patient with newcomers and people who have a harder time with mechanics. While later content can definitely be more difficult it feels way more accesible in terms of other players helpfulness.
I started ff14 2 weeks ago and i am too stunned by the community. The wow folks became so toxic that i had to go.

@@Elfenastics I started FF about 2.5 months ago. We had all gotten so tired of WoW and didn't even realize it. Walked into FF and was completely blown away by how much more consumer friendly the game is, and even more blown away by the community. You're ABSOLUTELY RIGHT I like leitmotifs. Thank you for noticing.
I knew i had to find this once i heard it in the job trailer.
But a canonical, lore-abiding reason for a Remix?
Kudos.
This shit is gold how that side quest tied in to this.
now I just wonder if lorewise, seeing as how we destroy the Tycoon, if the tower's Space-Time manipulation abilities still work.....
@@lanteanboy I'd guess not - otherwise the next seven expansions are going to be us doing the same to every rejoined shard lmao.

"Time
Try, dare the dead tread ahead on a road that is borrowed design.
Through the sum of their sons do they seek tomorrow.
Tonight, witness then as the end shall begin what was final."
Time, a very obvious but important aspect to the dungeon. the dead(the people from the doomed future with the eight umbral calamity) are treading ahead on a road of borrowed design(borrowed from omega, the crystal tower and alagans, alexander and the predecessors of the ironworks over time). Through the sum of the work done by their successors they're trying to create a new tomorrow(not to mention"tomorrow" is a recurring motif within shadowbringers) The last lyric gets a bit confusing but you cold say that the end of the doomed timeline began the future of our original timeline("final").

XD
@@Krescentwolf What is the message? I think I skipped it by accident
It's just a character talking about how they're sending off the exarch with all their hopes and such... but then its signed by 'Biggs, Third of his name, Eighteenth President of Garlond Ironworks.'
The context there is kind of amazing.

"Time to BRING THE HOUSE DOWN!"
Soken opens the battle by making himself invincible with the buff "Rock-Hard Solo", then attacks with a Barrage of AoEs, one after another, in a set of 5. after that, he tires out, leaving him open to attack. he then does more AoE's without the buff until he reaches a certain health threshold. that is when he gets onto the stage in the back of the arena.
"Think anyone in your band can beat ME in a duel?"
The tank must then Right Click the "Deluxe Guitar" next to the stage in the next 10 seconds otherwise it's a wipe via Soken's "Face Melt" attack. after He/She does, they are forced into an Active Time Maneuver: a Duel with Soken in Theatrythm Final Fantasy's BMS style, and the song is Rise.
"HOW ARE YOUR FACES NOT MELTED YET!?"
At this point Soken Gets Rock-Hard Solo again, but also gets the debuff "Melting Face", which steadily chips away at his HP, stacking with each aoe, until the end of the fight. now it's just a dodging battle, but any attacks that do hit also inflict Melting Face. once Soken's HP hits zero, his face literally melts off his skull and he is defeated.
