- In this episode of Chef's Night Out, we hit up some truly classic New York establishments with Paul Giannone (a.k.a. Paulie Gee) of Paulie Gee's in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. You might have met Paulie while you were enjoying one of his superb pizzas, as he is known to travel from table to table, but now you get to see him outside of his restaurant and on the town with some of his close friends. The crew starts at Sam's Restaurant in Cobble Hill, where they order the famous baked clams and can't resist ordering a pizza, then head to Emilio's Ballato in Nolita for an array of classic Italian dishes, and cap it all of with a visit to Prince Street Pizza for The Soho Square-arguably one of the best squares in the city. In true Paulie fashion, the night ends with more pizza at Paulie Gee's. In Paulie's words, "this is the senior citizen version of Chef's Night Out."

Pizza, clams, pizza, pasta, pizza, pizza.

A short one
+secretxla right? I have spent 8k for food for 20 and it wasn't this much fun. L.A. is old news.
I wanted to write a very similar comment

You forgot octopus
As far back as I can remember I always wanted to be a gangster...

+Allen B Just like you tellin´ funny stories man...
so nice to see people who are there to eat,..
this is the best of the Chef's Night out of your series, seriously
One of the better Munchies featuring some quality people. Action Bronson and Matty are also awesome. And that guy who went to Sweden.
so these guys are all retired Mafia bosses no?
+Sean McDonagh yes and the feds find them over instagram it seams
They are mainly jewish not italian
Forget about it!!!
Love this episode. Who would of thought you could pull of Chef's Night Out without any alcohol? And yet they did. Props to Paulie G.
+chef mike There are tons of chef's night out w/out alcohol.
jodawgsup I'm pretty sure I've seen almost all of them. Which ones are you referring to?
jodawgsup Actually please name one other. Pretty sure there aren't any.
Gee rated or P. Gee. You pick. I loved the good clean fun as well
@@jodawgsup oo
Martin Scorseses brother?
even though he says it's the senior citizen edition of chef's night out, i know munchie's has filmed many CNO less entertaining than this one. they just have a great energy
Facts
I'm so glad to see some NORMAL restaurants with a moderately priced menu. No need for fancy crap
GamingTaylor yes. Tired of those $25 plates that have two raviolis and a sprig of basil on top.
Crystal Williams the $25 plates r for the cunts
I feel like pually G’s is like Henry Hill introducing everybody at the table in Good Fellas! 🤌🏼 🇮🇹
This man is the reason I put honey on my pizza
Great episode. Love it.
Best chefs night out yet. Peace and love.
+Daniel Brown I absolutely agree... Usually, these episodes start with a bang and end with a whimper but this episode was quite the opposite, it only got better and better the longer it went. Nothing too extreme or attention seeking food-wise or behavior-wise, just a bunch of guys enjoying themselves with some really good food. Also, kudos to him for having the courage to change his career path, nothing worse than being stuck doing something you hate for the rest of your life.
I see 100k views and only 2k likes, come on ppl, let's show some appreciation for the best cooking show on the internet, or TV, because if we don't, we'll lose it to television..
hahahahaha "senior citizen's version of CNO" I love it
"Senior Citizen's version of Chef Night's Out" I'd hang out with this senior citizen any day. xD
These are the Chef's Night Out episodes that I love. Great wholesome food and people. Nothings pretentious and just using great ingredients and simple food.
Best episode of chef's night out I've ever seen. Every single place they went to the environment looked really friendly and the food looked delicious.
Nice to see an episode devoid of tattooed hipsters! Great episode.
+maverickx1221 HAHA so true
Well said.
Hipsters or not, there is always some whiner whining about them. Not sure what is more annoying.
maverickx1221 Thank god you are really original with your opinions and avatar :) Way better person than any filthy hipster.
maverickx1221 frank of the pizza show is tattooed but he is good I think
Everything in this looked fabulous. Nobody trying to be pretentious. Just honest, good tasting food.
Prince street pizza is incredible, that square slice is next level.
they are adorable
You guys should a Chef´s Day Out version instead. That way the guest doesn´t feel pressured to eat a lot of food in a couple of hours and they actually get to enjoy each meal. You´d have better quality footage for your viewers and you could visit a different restaurants with each meal (breakfast, lunch, dinner, even drinks).
11:35 "Even though no one asked him to."
That make me lmao. Leave Jack alone! Jack wants to participate too!
I love Paul Gionnone! I was at his restaurant a month back and he was such an awesome guy. Really passionate. This is also perfect timing. I'm dropping an episode tonight on my channel for the top 5 best pizza in New york. Paulie's restaurant is in it!
I would love to hear Paulie Gee's take on which joint has the better upside down Sicilian slice: Prince Street or L&B?
Did we go to L&B?
Laid back great episode showing some classic old fashioned NYC Italian cuisine.
I feel both hungry and very full all at the same time watching that :) I want to come to New York just to go to Paulie Gee's... bit of a trek from the UK but I will make it there one day. Love your videos and your pizza looks amazing.
“Sometimes having no room is no excuse for not eating”
i love the italian english accents it's so nice :D
I love em too, and I love watching these shows with my mom. It reminds her of her child hood. makes her tear up
Gangsta!

Love the munchies episodes with the old Italian guys of New York and Brooklyn. Proper old school cool dudes.
So I just posted a video on my channel all about Paulie Gees and the top 5 Pizza in New york. He is so nice too. Please check out my review.
i don't know how many times i watched this episode of Munchies (besides Frank Pinello The Pizza Show) over and over again, and never get tired of it..watching this just makes me happy and feel good about life..appreciate it a lot, thank you very much
Paulie stole the whole show.
what an episode! the best ever chef's night out on munchies!!
senior citizen version? wow this is better than any other version. i am 24 but i want this lifestyle and not the other ones which include loads of alcohol and chaos.
Nice to see those great restaurants. I moved away years ago, and everything here is mediocre corporate crap.
Emilio's is great. My go to date spot and for when people come into town. Great homemade focaccia. Wine is good. But expensive AF.
I'm deffo putting Paul's restaurant on my list of restaurants when I visit New York! The guy makes me want to eat his food!
Fuckin love these old wiseguys, more of this please!!
One could definitely tell that this was a slice of Paulie's life.
no beating around the bushes, no hipsters, no creepy hugs of guys when wasted, just good food and talk, this and the action bronson episodes are from far the best ones
Was he the one to make the original pizza with hot honey or something? It seems like every pizza place has a hot honey pizza.
Nice to see some old school blue collar guys doing the Chef's Night Out.. not just obnoxious hipsters... after all the pizza and pasta, a miracle these guys didn't explode.
"He'll be talking 'til the cows come home, then he'll be talking to the cows" he made the classic saying then made fun of it. that's some real modern New York shiii right there
Great genuine people, great food, great episode! Chapeau Munchies
Most episodes of chefs night out has genuine people because they're either people like this or they're drunk
this is probably the most enjoyable munchies episode. just some basic grub, no frills and well, yeah.. no hipsters.. :))))
Went to Paulie Gees tonight.., Outstanding pizza and friendliest guy ever.
they seem like a nice group of gentlemen
Best episode yet. Just passionate dudes who aren't pretentious

Martin Scorsese, Adam Richman and Nick Nolte in the back of the car.

I Miss my NY Pizza, especially from Long Island. Dammit Georgia get with the program already. Need to go visit and just go on an eating spree.
I feel you on that, I grew up in New Haven CT. Thus far the best pizza I had here is at Antico's in atl
One of the best chef's night out.
What a cool guy!
This show makes me hungry every single time!
One of the best episodes of CNO. Dude is so easy going and likable. No pretentiousness, no obnoxious friends.
this guy is the real deal
if u ask me thats some italian mafioso soprano shit right there! like all the italians advertising each other:)
Dream Job: Make pizza at Paulie Gee's.
I love Paulie Gee and his restuarant buddies. A bunch of jokers.
Awesome chief's night out episode!
Finally an episode without drunken obnoxious lunatics! :,D
This is one of the best episodes imo. It's so humble and relaxed.
Normal people, normal food. No hipster shit. Beautiful stuff
one of the better night outs! good to see
This is easily the best Chef's Night Out that Vice has ever done.
This was a really sweet down to earth kind of episode.
lpvely , unpretentious , obviously lovely food,.. hungry
Looks like Scorsese and cast. That one guy sounds like Pesci too.
I have pizza for you.
I bet that works 9 out of 10 times.
