That's the one reason I got rid of every Samsung device in the past and went for a pixel or iPhone! Now I simply don't even wanna know anything about Samsung if they can't even take decent pictures of my son.
Fun fact if you live in the US this galaxy will have Google's flagship Gemini assistant and if you have pixel in EU you can't It's more of a where question and not as much as what phone nowadays
Rubbish, the most in depth motion photo review showed the iPhone and 24 Ultra to be miles ahead or the Pixel 8 pro. The 8 pro was the slowest and had the most blurred images.
Importantly to note Google's track record on following through on promises and apps is not very good, so I'm more trusting the galaxy's promise on OS updates.
I'm a big fan of Samsung's Ultra line. I'm a low vision person, so zoom is my most used feature. Their zoom capabilities have been helping me see things for several years now.
People are just plain mad because they spend $1300 on a S24U thinking they were getting the ultimate better phone and they just noticed that a cheaper phone out beats them in the still picture department.
@@mattlamb15 not sure about that, Ai on phone is made by Samsung, Ai on cloud is from Google. Even so, saying that Ai on pixel is "far" better, make me think... people are so delusional. The hardware is like 2 generations behind and the Ai from cloud is the same?!

Para nada , la pantalla del s24 ultra es mejor, el cristal antireflejos es una pasada , es un antes y un despues , ya no quiero otro móvil que no la tenga
I traded my 8 pro for an s24 ultra. The ultra is definitely the better phone, as you'd expect for the price difference, but the Google camera processing is miles better in lower light. Down to preference in out door conditions but when you move in doors or light drops the pixel would amaze me with the detail it could find while the ultra produces noisy images with unrealistic colours.
Seeing how the main selling point of the Pixel was AI, now that Samsung has it and Samsung has a better processor, better performance, better battery life I am trying to find a reason to justify owning a Pixel 8 Pro and I can't find it. Of course, some people like Android stock but One UI is clean af. It has native nav bar gestures and Google feed so it kinda feels like stock Android. Even Android stock can get boring. But Samsung has so many features and customization, and the AI features are way more useful and less restrictive on Samsung devices than Google's. So yeah, Samsung the king.
Is crazy to me how much better the Pixel is WITH A WEAKER PROCESSOR! Google continues to impress in computational photography and has even surpassed in the video department. (Video Boost) The dynamic range and colors are better on the Pixel as well. I'm sorry Samsung but the camera is not on par with Pixel 8 Pro. I couldn't find even one situation where Samsung makes better photos. Pixel color science and computational photography are unmatched. (I know it is subjective nevertheless)
Tell me you like to being ripped- off without telling me you like to ripped-off.🤣 For over $800.00 the Pixel 8 Pro should've had at least OnePlus 12R specs.
There’s other test showing the pixel beating the brakes off s24 ultra and iPhone 15 pro max ….they can’t hang as long as the pixel there sustain performance is way low in comparison to the pixel
Hey, nice job on the comparison and I think yes 24 ultra is worth it if you use the S pen and you use dex and so if you’re not using those two features maybe galaxy S 24+ is a better deal and yeah you don’t get the top of the top cameras but much more manageable phone and you can just wait for a sale. I wouldn’t pay the thousand dollars for it you could get it for 800 or less if you just wait two or three months. The pixel is the phone to get if you like the way it does photography with its cameras. It’s definitely a downgrade with the processor in the modem I had to pixelate, but I had to sell it because it didn’t last the day for me on data but that’s not to say it wasn’t a fun phone if I had worked in an office maybe I would’ve kept it, but Samsung’s hardware is much better the processor and the modem battery life
I've got the 8 Pro but, after having the S23 last year, would gladly trade it in for the S24 Ultra. Dex is too good, the phone is stunning, the processer is reliable and the software is awesome. Happy with the 8 Pro...it's just the tensor chip may be responsible for the weird lags I've been having. So unlike a Pixel too. Shame the value has dropped so much.
How about samsung giving a fixed 4 year major updates and charge us for each subsequent android updates? This way, updront price of the smartphone reduced while allowing users to chose the update. 🤔
Why doesn't anyone mention the additional short comings (In my opinion) of the Galaxy phones. The stodgy UI, the added bloatware and app duplication on the Galaxy S24 Ultra as well as the substantial difference in the amount of internal memory the Galaxy OS uses compared to the Pixel. The Samsung uses about 54gb of memory while the pixel uses 14 gb. With the other differences you have mentioned, the Galaxy phones can't measure up.

I'm about to make a purchase decision between these two phones, and the one thing that bothers me about the Ultra is that Samsung is only promising free AI features until the end of 2025. OK, then what? Two years down the line, your phone either becomes less useful, or more expensive. And how much more expensive? Will Samsung charge you each time you use AI? Maybe a monthly fee? How much will the fee be? $2... $20? No one knows. The fact that I could spend $1300 on a phone, and Samsung can't tell me what the total cost would be to own it for three or four years really bothers me.
