- American television sitcom The Parent ‘Hood aired on The WB from January 18, 1995, to July 25, 1999. It was created by actor, director, comedian, and writer Robert Townsend, who also stars in the show, and English-born Canadian writing team Andrew Nicholls and Darrell Vickers. All three also served as executive producers. The series was one of the four sitcoms that aired as part of the original Wednesday-night two-hour lineup that helped launch The WB network, along with The Wayans Bros., Unhappily Ever After, and the short-lived Muscle.

Suzzane Douglas and Robert Townsend definitely had chemistry together. It was relaxed and they balanced each other well. The character of Wendell was so funny,shame he wasnt in the last season. Watching these shows as an Adult,man oh man,i so missed the 90's.

This show along with Malcolm & Eddie, Cousin Skeeter, Roc and Hangin with Mr. Cooper are the most underrated shows of the '90s
For the there were way too many sitcoms on TV during that time but it was enjoyable!

I used to love Zaria’s storylines. Her beauty, her style, the way she spoke, her vibe, etc. She had the beauty of a Taina and the rebellion of a Moesha lol.
I loved her storyline during the later years with T.K.. He was a great addition to the show and that cliffhanger with him and Tyrese was intense.

I loved so many of her characters, because she BODIED them. As for Robert Townsend, he is a BONA FIDE legend, The Parent 'Hood was one of my WB faves. I loved Kenny, Regan and Curtis as well. Robert is one of my FAVE comedian/directors. He had me at Hollywood Shuffle. 💐💐💐💐💐

Respect to this era, RIP Suzzanne Douglas. I still go back and re-watch The Parent Hood. The TK character was a nice addition to the show, especially with the storylines they tackled. Like a lot of 90's shows I have so many favorite episodes. I wish black people would stop going on Vlad TV.

Underrated gem is all I’m going to say. Loved the parent hood. It wasn’t until about a decade ago did I actually sit down and watch it as an adult. And I enjoyed every second of it. Robert Townsend is a great writer and always teamed up with Kenan ivory wayans growing up, so it had that element in it. Reagan Gomez has always been a baddie too 😩

The Parent Hood:WB sunday night classic and was one of the start up shows of the wb network in the 90s……Robert Townsend:talented actor and director who had some classic movies through the years…..definitely deserves his flowers and a star on the Hollywood walk of fame…..The Parent Hood had some topics that were straightforward and went head on…..wish the parent hood had a better series finale because the WB network has been doing shows dirty for years…..thankfully the parent hood is still on Tubi to this day…RIP Suzzanne Douglas…….

Puffy can keep it moving until they arrest him for others coming forward. He not too long ago mentioned that Cassie was making false statement about him and that she was just trying to do a money grab. He mentioned she was lying about everything and that he didn't do anything Cassie mentioned. However, this hotel video shows Cassie was saying some truth to what had happened to her. I don't feel sorry for Sean, particularly with allegations of some of his temperament and behavior against people. Because the limitations is over with for this crime, Puffy won't be arrested for it, but his public persona is done, for the time being.
Here's The Thing I Totally Forgotten That Reagan Gomez Preston was In The Parent 'Hood mostly due to Fox's The Cleveland Show where she was Nia Long's replacement but Parent 'Hood was 20x better than the Family Guy Spinoff In my opinion
