Thank you for always making great videos👍👏When I was in Japan, the Hanshin Tigers won the championship this year🏆I watched the baseball video from 5 years ago at Koshien Stadium again😊I love you both more than ever. 🥰If you are in Hokkaido, please try Sapporo Miso Ramen! If you like spicy food, I think adding a little chili oil will make it even more delicious! Be careful of bears and I hope you both have a good trip 👩❤️👨🍻❤️
Thank you! That's so very kind of you. I do remember that video from 5 years ago! We had a fun time at the baseball game. We hope you enjoy the upcoming videos from Japan. Noboribetsu Onsen is next and then Sapporo! 😊
Hi, Samuel and Audrey, I enjoyed your video. I have been to Hakodate twice. I am totally with you, Samuel, on Hakodate being an incredibly livable city. It's also very comfortable for me to experience the way you guys guide the audience through the tour with your feelings and thoughts, instead of just showcasing what's there. Good work guys and hope to see more.
Thank you for videos. I strongly recommend the view from the top of Hakodate mountain at night time. The ropeway(or bus) may be crowded but It's a amazing and unforgettable sight. Of course, when the weather is fine...
What a lucky couple !! Not only for visiting this beatiful city of Hakodate, but also for the incredible weather you've had this time of the year, in plain automn !! Either way, excelent video, guys. Godspeed!
This is great! I've been wondering where will we visit on our next visit to Japan and Hokkaido/Sapporo is on our list. Thanks for the shinkansen video to Hakodate. We'd like to avoid flying from Tokyo to Sapporo but we don't want to take a 7-8 hrs train ride either. Hakkodate area seems to be a good place to stay for a few nights before heading to Sapporo. Thanks Sam and Audrey. Looking forward to more videos from Northern Japan.
You guys put out such super guides. Harriet and I have been. You guys couldn't have planned it any better. Thank you for the memories that we had of Hakodate. Looking forward to your next adventure . Sending you much love❤ from Richmond, Va. Harriet, Jim and Yuki
Thank you I have really enjoyed the discovery! Ahah Sam it’s art of growing up liking and enjoying museums! I used to be the same but now I love love love museums they are so interesting always full of beautiful things and you always learn a lot and I really appreciate at the end of the day to gain knowledge! I feel the same with travel vlogs I always learn something! I have just returned from northern Iceland 🇮🇸 and went to the Húsavík whale Museum! What a treat! I’m looking forward to see more of Hokkaido now! 🫶🏼 Sabrina 🇫🇷🇬🇧

So i watch Japan Explorer and he does a summer series where he goes to local beaches and shows what local life is like around. This area was my favorite to watch and made me feel like it'd be amazing peaceful and fun place to live.
Sounds like a great series! It's a super liveable city. We had planned to make it out to the beach, but we had a bit of torrential downpour so we stuck to museums and indoor activities for the second part of our visit. 😅☔🌧️
函館の夜景は有名です。 Hakodate's night view is famous. 今年は日本中で熊が頻繁に出没していますので十分気を付けてくださいね。 Bears are frequently appearing throughout Japan this year, so please be careful. 特に北海道を旅行するときは要注意です。 Be especially careful when traveling to Hokkaido.
Just got back from my Japan trip and got to spend one day in Hakodate but it was a pretty fun one. Got to ride the trams to Goryokaku park and eat at your sushi place from the previous video. Unfortunately the city view was spoiled by rain so I didn't go up the mountain. The morning market was fun too even though I can't eat fish for breakfast.
That's great! We're glad you were able to track down the sushi restaurant. We really enjoyed it - in fact, we're kind of craving it right now! 🍣 We also had quite a bit of rain during our visit, which is why we visited so many museums. 😅
Hakodate is one of my favorite city, too. 🥰 Sapporo is the most famous city in Hokkaido after all. However, Hakodate has many attractions that Sapporo does not have. I love the view from Mt. Hakodateyama. The night view from Mt. Hakodateyama is also recommended. 💖✨
Hakodate is one of my favorite places in Hokkaidō because, like Kōbe (another of my favorite cities), it is a port city with Western and traditional Japanese influences, beautiful views from the mountains to the sea (like Hawaiʻi, where I live), wonderful food, and interesting things to do and see. Too bad you didn't get to see the famous night view (yakei) of the city from Mt. Hakodate, but you did make it up there by ropeway. The first two times I visited Hakodate from Tōkyō (where I taught English) were in the 1980s and the only way to get there was the now "historical" ferry. It took several hours, and both times my travel companions got seasick, but it was fine for me. When I was a student in 1978, we had a far longer and more challenging overnight voyage over rough seas on a traditional passenger/cargo ship from Tōkyō to Kushiro in the lowest steerage level, where most of my friends got so seasick, they couldʻt even stand. It's funny to see how things have changed with the Seikan Tunnel and easy Shinkansen ride, and the old ferry is now a musem for tourists to take a look at. I would have loved to visit the Museum of Northern Peoples (I've studied about the Ainu) and the other small one (I like museums), especially on a cold or very hot day with no big crowds.
@@jeffc1736 Kobe is in the western part of Japan, near Kyoto, and Hakodate is in Hokkaido, the northern island of Japan, so their climate is quite different, and much of Kobe was damaged or destroyed and 4,600 people died in the Great Hanshin earthquake in 1995.

@@jeffc1736 Japan is a wonderful place to visit and travel in, but I would not want to live there, especially because I live in Hawai'i. Are you going to Tokyo for the first time? What's the purpose of your trip? There's so much to do and see in Tokyo, but so much more of Japan to experience, too. I hope you have a wonderful trip!
Great video! About the trams in Hakodate, what form of payment do they accept? I’ll have a mobile suica but am thinking of getting a kitaca card as a souvenir. Do the trams have those little ic card scanners as you board?
Love your new Japan Series! May I ask what camera you use for your videos? I'm about to change my current equipment and search for alternatives. I would appreciate an information 📸

I like you guys, but it is harder and harder to watch/listen to Audrey'e extremely stilted, uninspired, pointless high school history lecture scripted in the voice over and often as you pretend to walk. Try just relaxing and sharing with us in a real and spontaneous way. Take us along with you, don't try to teach us anything.
