Thanks, sir this video has given me some clarity about buying a chair. In my country, Ikea and Harmen Miller don't exist. I am a student I used to sit in a straight spine on a wooden Chair. But I think Buying a Chinese ergonomic chair with proper back and neck support will be a good diction for me.
Well this IKEA chair is in my budget 😅 and I work 8h at desk but I will buy additional lower back pillow and there is an option of this chair with an elbow rest and I think I'll be good... Since march I have been working on terrible chair for kids 🤦♀️ so it will be an upgrade anyway😂
Such a well-structured, helpful video! Thank you, Dr. Ritza. I was contemplating this Langjfall chair, and right now, I am sitting on a cheap plastic IKEA chair, and this will be an upgrade, but not too pricey. And also I like he minimalist look of it.
Herman miller aeron chairs Inn my opinion are the best not only for the comfortability but I general they will last longer, I just bought an older second hand aeron chair what's far far far cheaper than new and so much more comfortable than a lot of 200 dollar chairs
I wonder what your thoughts are on Capisco Chair by HÅG - design is unusual and is supposed to be this super duper ergonomic chair which promotes mobility while sitting, but looking at the three principles you've noted I don't see how would it provide a full on back support where shoulder blades touch the back of the chair. Or in this case it would be compensated somehow by the more movement while sitting? Would be great to hear your opinion!
got the ikea chair for 2 years now and it started squeaking really really bad after like 1 and a half years so bad that my mates can hear it through my microphone that is set on voice detection...
@@DrAlexRitza The Aeron has a 12 year warranty and has been proven to last even longer. There's absolutely no point wasting money on an IKEA chair, unless your budget is limited.
Swede here. Your pronounciation was very amusing. Let me show you the right way, it’s quite simple. It’s not “Lang-fujahll” - It’s pronounced “Longfyell” “Lång” sound like the English word “Long”, and “Fjäll” sound like the English word “Yell” with an F in front.
@@DrAlexRitza if you want you can tag me in this comment if you are doing other videos featuring Ikea products, and want an easy tip on pronounciation.
"basically just a blob in a chair" - the perfect description of a computer programmer

Great video! This chair comes also in a lower back model (92 vs the 104 cm of this model ) which is better? lower back or medium back height?
I’d like to know this too
Ugh, so sorry I missed this. Honestly, IDK! I would have recommended that you try it to know how to contours to your spine.

first time in my life I have ever been called a bad ass so thanks ;)
@@DrAlexRitza hahahaha thank you!!!!!!

agree with that totally!!! If you can afford to get one - especially one on sale - it is one of the best options around
Aeron is a game changer for me, I used to get a lot of back pain on my entry level office chair when I started using it more due to working from home.
thank you, Alex, this was a very constructive video !
