I like Steve McQueen as an actor and he was known as the "King Of Cool". But, the real King Of Cool was and has always been..... Robert Mitchum.

mitchum was the best quite often Miscast but as an actor in the right roles out of the past enemy below man with the gun cape fear night of the Hunter Macau home from hill mitchum was just as good or even a better actor than Steve McQueen Steve McQueen movie career better handled not more talented as an actor and he doesn't even come close to being as cool as Robert mitchum in Robert mitchum's prime mitchum was better then McQueen

For me, the most underrated film (and possibly in history) Bob starred in was Nick Ray's 'The Lusty Men'. It never even got an official DVD release.
Thanks for the upload. Any chance of putting up Part 2?

i thnk after living life of a homeless person , when he got famous and rich, it wasnt a big deal...he was down there at the lowest and he knew the value of life.

Can't get over that Mitchum's first stage role was as Duke Mantee!

an amazing life. ... powerful and magnetic presence on the screen. truly one of the greatest, ... and he never thought of himself in "celebrity" terms.

Thank you for uploading this. he was one of the great lives of the 20th Century. no pretensions and tough as nails. no wonder John Huston loved him so much as both man and actor. and the women, of course, adored him.

Robert Mitchum was in the design of Spencer Tracy and Henry Fonda. Their personal lives were separate. Maybe it is that busines that acting is for sissies and he had to prove that he was a man. He really is an engima.

More trivia. His brother Jim, was also studying opera! I met him at a lesson when my boyfriend, was also a tenor. He looked so much like Bob, that I walked up to him and asked. I was 16 then. Los Angeles was SO much nicer then. 1946

Ali MacGraw gives me a headache.
Mitchum is arguably the most natural actor of all time. He didn't act - he lived and then picked up his paycheck. Baby, he didn't care...
