#2 Was a combination that Mike Tyson often used in the peek-a-boo style. He was very short and his arms were short as well. That first step (after the lead jab) had to land outside of the opponent's foot so that the hooks to the body would land beautifully. Pay attention to your footwork folks!

On the side of my Karate training, I've been practicing boxing at a local gym for nearly 2 years now, but this mans endless combos, knowledge and copious details on every technique he presents is valuable and made me better and better as a striker, but being mindful on why and how to do each strikes. @YūGen Indeed it is a solid mix. Boxing helps you being mindful of your targets and a building blocks of creating endless combinations with your fist because at some point, you can't rely on your legs for kicks and thats when the hands comes in play.

That second combo is golden. I practice it really often (when I do train lol) and making it muscle memory has improved my overall slipping and countering drastically. @@dosomestuff1949 Honestly shadowboxing did it just fine for me. Mitts with a trainer would prob be best, tho. Just make sure not to overshoot or undershoot the slip, that's the hardest part. If you don't have anyone to assist with mitts, tie a string or rope from two points at your head height and use that as a reference point to practice slipping. It's a really natural combo, just get your reps in.

Or 1,1,2,then left hook(3) to the liver. Believe me,if you hit the liver, you will feel tension that he might die(i knocked one dude,i wsnt happy at all, i was afraid that i have done something bad). Another great video for fighters, thanks Tony. I might start using that jab, slip bang bang. I usually skip the jab part but I can see the value in adding it.
My favourite combo is actually really simple. It's just a long left jab (through the feet) that taps their glove out of the way on the way through. Once that connects (eight times out of ten it does) you can now flow into a flurry of punches depending on where they go from there. The beauty of this simple deflecting jab is they usually lose sight and a bit of structure which presents you with an easier follow up set of targets.

I love what you've showed us. I would really like to see more variations off your first combo. Your basic right body left body is fantastic. One of my absolutes. But with that right you slip the jab if done properly. The left (for me would be a hook while stepping to the right. I would then send a straight to the lower rib then shuffle left with a slight head tilt and send my head left hook. Do you agree? I would love to hear your input

you have to find the middle mate... sometimes you have to choose between speed or power, were you able to watch my video How to punch faster?

@@Tony_Jeffries thanks for the advice. And yes, sir I did watch that today! It is indeed an awesome way to increase speed(though I kinda don't find shadow boxing exciting 😄). Still I gotta purchase those weights! Thanks again. Looking forward to seeing more of your coaching videos. And Great job sir!

Tony, I really like the fast jab- slip- body- head, going to practice that. One issue I notice I've been having in my bag work is that my arm/elbow consistently looks low on the hooks (both lead and power hand). Any recommendations for throwing better hooks?

the most natural movement: The job by the leading hand, the straight or cross by the other hand; and the cross or upper cut by the leading hand. These are 123 combinations or the left Job, followed by the right cross/straight. and then followed by the left cross or upper cut.

Those are great, i love the next one:
Jab, back, jab to the body, back, jab, straight right, jab, uppercut.
Also the left hook followed by the right uppercut
Finally, the changed stands really help me to move into my oponent for an agressive combo if I sense he is stepping back with my punches. I jab with my strong hand and leave my weak hand in the back so thet I can use his backing off as an opportunity to get my left in front again with a straight punch followed by a jab in the same hand and keep up the jabs with that hand to finish finish the attack with a strong overhand. Doesnt make too much sense written, but shown or performed it really does
