#VelvetRevolver #FallToPieces #Scott Weiland #MusicReaction
I love that you reacted to this video. This is such a powerful song when you understand the back story of his struggles with heroin. In the end, he ended up writing his own eulogy, which is so sad. I had the privilege to see Velvet Revolver live several times. Also, as a note, the woman in the video with Scott was his real-life wife, so they opened up themselves in this video in a way that very few would ever do.
It’s such an open and honest portrayal of a situation that probably happened several times in their life. It’s a brave video to make and such a shame he couldn’t heed his own warning!
Scott Weiland 4ever. hugs from Rio de Janeiro - Brazil
Hugs back from France 🇫🇷
I was lucky enough to see Velvet Revolver in concert from the 2nd row center. Scott had a tremendous voice and it is a tragedy he lost his battle with his demons.
It is always a sad story whenever anyone losses their battle to drugs. Especially when there are so many people that genuinely care about that person.
Yea such a shame what happened. I never got to STP or VR live which is a huge miss. Glad you got to see him perform!
@@MarriedtotheMusic2010 I really considered myself lucky. I thought he did much better fronting Slash and Duff than Axel.
I’d say that quietly… they’ll be after you! 🤣
I much prefer Scott’s vocals though so I guess I’m with you!
@@MarriedtotheMusic2010 LOL True. I did see G-N-R live on the Use Your Illusion tour with Soundgarden as the warn up. Chris Cornell owned the place and I knew watching them that I was witnessing greatness on that stage. Axel brought out G-N-R to the stage over an hour late and he could not compete with Chris at all.
Cornell is one of my fave vocalists. I adored Soundgarden as a teen. I did get to see them love but it was on the Down on the Upside tour and the band chemistry had gone. Also saw him with Audioslave which was much better.
The empathy in this reaction is so lovely. Thank you.
And thank you for watching and appreciating! We’d find it hard not to be empathetic about something so visceral as this. We can only imagine what it must be like to have to suffer through these kinds of difficulties, for everyone. You must feel like you’re waiting for that thing to happen which of course eventually it did. So sad!
Beautiful ballad from Velvet Revolver.
Think this is my fave VR song
Love the time you took to do this reaction. Thank you for sharing you raw emotions. Music is powerful. A lot of us grew up with STP, and witnessed the decline in real time. We lost a bunch of musical geniuses from that era.
Love from Houston, Texas.
First let me say that I love to watch your reactions. You feel the lyrics down in your soul. I love to watch and listen to you both.
You are 100% bang on by saying that talking to someone is the best thing you can do. I hate to say this but I am going through some things right now and I feel I am falling deeper into a hole but I cant get out. So your advice to talk couldn't be any more true. Yes also even if you can talk a bit, it truly does help. So listening to your voices and understanding exactly what you are saying has given me some positive feelings. I thank you for this.😥😥💞💞
To be honest, the darker paths of ones mind are a difficult way to tread. And for a lot of us that tread those paths tend to be reluctant to show it, or ask for the help we need...
You’re right, it can be difficult to ask for help from people when we’re struggling. It’s a hard thing to have to do but if we can push through the reluctance and fear then support is often there for us.

Love this
Thanks 😁
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Always brings a tear to my eye, that one.
One of my weepy tunes.
I think Carrie would agree with you there. It’s very emotional for sure!
I was really into STP in the 90s, near the same level as AIC for me. I must admit, I was shocked when I first saw Scott Weiland in VR. I was shocked at his appearance.
Unfortunately you could see the writing on the wall, eventually he joined the ranks of other great artists who lost their battle too early..
It’s sad when you can see someone’s demise like this. The writing had been on the wall for a while I feel and in the end it was no surprise but tragic all the same.
The part of the video for me was that Duff, the bass player who is hugging him, was the one who helped him get off drugs for awhile.
Duff is one wholesome and wonderful human being
I'm 31, I was younger when the band formed and album came out. Parents musically did me correct, listened to everything. Parents bought the album for me, was so good. Unfortunately, problems will catch you.
Your parents did a good job, I listened back to this album recently and it still stands up! It’s sad that the issues he portrayed in the video are what came back to bite him.
It's OK...this one gets the tears flowing from me too every time I hear it.
Imagine how sad scott's life was with the fame and drugs but still feels empty inside.
Super talented guy! Through your life aways too the drug . Damn! Missed him.
Everything Slash touches turns to gold
The greatest performances come from within
Great reaction. I love this band. Would love to see sucker train blues by them! Cheers
Thanks! Added your request to the list
The woman in the video was his then wife Mary, whom he had married in 2000 before STP broke up. They had a pretty storied relationship and ultimately divorced in 2007. He definitely had a lot of demons and in the end it was too much. Very very sad.
I always felt like it was coming with Scott. Doesn’t make it any less sad though!
She'is a beautiful soul..take care of her.
Hope you guys are good. Long time no see.
All the best!
🤘🙂🤙
Hey Tony, hope you’re good too! we’re fine, just lots going on. we got busy at the end of last year and were unable to record. And then winter is a busy time for us living in a ski resort so not been able to get back into it. Hoping to pick it up again in the spring.
@@MarriedtotheMusic2010 Cool, Thanks for the reply, I was getting a little worried TBH.. :)
Glad you two are doing well. Its a crazy time in the world stay safe! See you when you are back on deck.
Cheers
I fight back tears too every time I listen to this song, followed Scott's career from STP and hoped he would turn it around but unfortunately drugs had got a grip and never let go 😢
What music should do touch your soul great reaction
How could it not?!
l love that! everyday should be world mental day! let's talk about it!
It’s something I’ve learned… it’s always better to say it than keep keep it quiet!
We miss you Scott
He was trying to tell us
That’s Scott’s wife, Mary Forsberg, in the video …. they were both very addicted to heroin, cocaine, alcohol etc. If you get a chance read their books. Mary’s is called “Fall to Pieces” and she lays out their history it’s very sad. Both of them suffered from Bipolar Disorder as well and the drugs made them “feel normal” check the books out
RIP Scott. See ya in the after homie.
RIP Scott.
You both were so dead on in your analysis…but an important tidbit about this video.
This video must also have been, and must remain extremely tough for Mary Forsberg Weiland…
She battled addiction after meeting, falling in love with, and marrying Scott when she was just a young model, and he was her driver.
Drugs, and associated issues split them apart, but they remained close…and she details addiction battle and their lives together in her autobiography; (aptly titled, ‘fall to pieces’)
She plays his significant other trying to help him in this video…years after such things caused them to go their separate ways in marriage…but remaining close and a family.
Heartbreaking.
I saw Scott Weiland play a solo show at a small club in NYC just weeks before he passed. He looked great…he seemed completely clean…and performed AMAZINGLY.
Sleep well, Scott…thank you for great musical memories
F*CK YOU Scott Weiland, I hate how it ended!
Thanks for the GREAT MUSIC! LOVE YOU MAN!🤟
If you guys can add, please react to I miss you blink182
Thanks, it's a good song and we've both heard it. The first time was actually a cover by a pretty obscure artist called Kate Rogers but we've both since heard the Blink 182 version.
Half of GNR right there
… and a quarter of STP! 😜
Lovely reaction...this one really bothers me too
Thanks! Yes it’s heartbreaking knowing what would happen
Duff knows
Being a junkie never ends well. Scott was an amazing fit for this band but sadly couldn't kick his habit. Slash was a junkie himself in GNR and was wanting to stay away from that stuff by doing music to stop himself from falling back into the habit. Even Duff had his vices and got himself sorted out with martial arts training of which he tried to get Scott to do but to no avail. In the end Slash had enough of Scott not turning up to the studio etc. as he'd put up with all that from Axl previously so ultimately Scott was fired. Would love to see Velvet Revolver reform at some point.
Should be noted that Scott did not die from heroin overdose, although he had struggled for several years with addiction. His autopsy detailed a combination of narcotics and heart disease combined with asthma for a combined cause of death.
From Wiki:
The medical examiner later determined Weiland's death was the result of an accidental overdose of cocaine, alcohol, and methylenedioxyamphetamine (MDA). In its report, the examiner's office also noted Weiland's atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, history of asthma, and prolonged substance abuse.
Sadly, All those years of substance abuse caught up with him alone on a tour bus.

Thanks for the suggestion, added to the list!
I'm guessing this channel is closed now
Thanks for asking. It’s definitely been a long time since we recorded, for various reasons. Hoping to get back to it this year but I don’t have any timeline for when unfortunately.
react Doesnt remind me - Audioslave
Thanks for the suggestion, it’s a song and band we both know very well!
And then she left him and what happened? Don't give up on people
