Watching this graceful piece made me appreciate that fact that I grew up in the 1990s when Disney was still pure, innocent and beautiful... when Disney made fantasies and dreams believable. ❤
Absolutely gorgeous! Maybe I’m being biased as I’m a Disney fan, but one of the best group routines I’ve seen. The choreography, music, and reel of Disney films in the background was simple stunning. Actually made me tear up a bit. ❤️

I love everything about this routine...I think it was an inspired choice not to do the obvious and dress the pros as the Disney characters, but instead as the animators. It is so beautiful as an orchestral piece and the storytelling through movement alone is outstanding. My favourite bit is when they all become the wind whipping through the hair of Pocahontas!! Jason and the team of choreographers are world class and we are so lucky to have them on Strictly!!! Thank you to all the team for all your hard work ❤❤❤
When all those scenes appeared in the ending lines-I couldn't cope! I was watching at my parents house and was absolutely awe-struck! Hubby was watching with me and he welled up when Robin Hood leapt onto the screen! Both huge Disney fans, but I was actually welling up from the start because I ❤ BATB so much!
Walt Disney would be so proud. A pure Ballroom performance. Whenever I think of Ballroom dancing I think of Disney. I think of Cinderella (mainly). And all the princesses dancing romantically with their princes. Imagine all the animators, past & present, who had to study ballroom dancers to get it correct for movies. I think this is the first time music from Pocahontas is used. And it was used so beautifully it brought a tear to my eye.

Truly beautiful dance and what | loved was its subtlety to it. It could have been a dance that could have had different Disney characters being played by Strictly professionals by what I really loved was its subtle nature by having the different films being shown behind. Lovely to see this.

Honestly, this routine felt more "Disney" than any animated movie Disney itself has released in almost a decade. THIS is the Disney I miss. The warm, sincere, enchanting Disney. Nowadays, it feels like nothing but superheroes, snarky characters, and meta humor.
Very well put! Know Disney are trying to move with the new generations and engage them... Etc.. But.. Agree with you about the sincerity and morals of these stories. There's a reason the Disney Renaissance is the Era everyone returns to with the animated originals... The Live Remakes are OK in their own right, but some of them cannot capture the original of the animated... X
If that's going to change, it's up to people like you. Be vocal about the changes you want, encourage others to do the same. If you have children, show them that warm and sincere side too, the old along with the new... try to teach them the value of heart as well as humor. I intend to do that same thing, and even hope to make my way there someday to do more. If we want the values Walt believed in kept, we all have to do our part to make sure they're remembered.

I just love Vito and Dianne’s interpretation of this beautiful dance and Little Mermaid’s theme tune! So gracefully danced. It sends shivers to my spine every time I watch it. Also the introduction. I couldn’t take my eyes off of the male dancers. The choreography lent itself to the men, in this instance, I think. The whole performance was phenomenal. I can’t see it ever being beaten for dancing, music and choreography. Well done Strictly. Xx 💕💕

As an American, I will say this was WAY better than what Dancing with the Stars (USA) did for Disney's 100. After seeing this masterpiece, I compared it to DWTS (USA). DWTS's was full of overstimulation with props, lights, and camera work all while showcasing very little dancing. It's gotten to the point where when I see props taking over the stage, I know the dance is not going to be very good. SCD did an amazing job with this dance. I loved it!

I loved that they just used the instrumental versions of the songs because of that I could just focus on the dance and the beautiful story of each segments! Such a beautiful tribute to something that has been a part of my peoples lives during the last 100 years!
Disney will forever be apart of me and my childhood. It was an imaginary gateway to escape reality and to be taken into a realm of wonder and curiosity. I didn’t think I would have gotten this emotional after watching this performance but my god, to say this was outstanding would be an understatement. Thank you for bringing back my childhood memories. This is truly a performance I’ll keep coming back to from time to time. Aloha from Hawaii.
This is so amazing, and couldn't be a better tribute. These dancers are incredible... every twirl and dip executed perfectly. And having them costumed as the original animators and artists is an absolutely stellar choice. The dancers are telling a story in the same way those artists worked so hard to tell us all those stories we know so well. As always, storytelling is central and one of the most important foundations that both this routine and the tradition they're honoring are built on. I feel so much joy inside watching this, and hope that someday I might follow in those first artists' footsteps, doing my part to make it something Walt, Roy, and all of them can be proud of.
