Favorite Bowser theme in history. He's become such a buffoon lately, but this music makes him sound like a serious villain, not a bumbling wannabe. And it still manages to sound like Bowser music... just incredibly pumped-up and coooooool.
@johannhowitzer I find it kind of funny that the games where Bowser has the most intimidating boss themes are also the games where he's depicted in the goofiest manner.
@Skavoc I beg to differ...I've never played it but the spiritual precursor to all the paper mario games was a game called Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars for the SNES which debuted in 1996. In it, not only is Bowser not the main villain but he's a member of your party and additional comic relief so he fell from dignity a looong time before now. Supposedly it's on the Wii virtual console, so it's one I'll definitely be looking into getting someday.
CHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!!!! I love the fact how alienated you feel that you're playing a Mario game, and then you start hearing epic music that not only suits Bowser, but also has a twisted, sick-ass jungle breakbeat in it! Best RPG I ever played, utterly uncomparable.
Bowser didn't give me too much trouble in my double pain badge and 10HP run, but what is going to be more of a lethal threat is when I face the chapter 8 enemies with the 10HP and double pain badge challenge put together! D: I focus on dealing a lot of attack power rather than to focus on defenses.
I know. And even if I don't recall it myself it's either because I forgot to or lost space in 500 characters most of the time... It still didn't change in the videos, but over that time however Mario starts to tell people to stop the video on the second it goes awry with more text boxes.
Holy shit! I remember my favorite part of this soundtrack even though it was many years ago when I fought him as a young child. I'd say this is my favorite Bowser associated theme.
I think it's really funny how in the first Paper Mario game and, for that matter, all the Mario games before this one, Bowser was the big, bad final boss. Then, in this game, he took a huge step down and became the comic relief. Finally, in Super Paper Mario, he joins your party and allows you to perform the most abusive level-grinding in video game history.
Something I tend to do is put a high focus on healing. After I beat Grodus I was all like "YESSSSS". Then Bowser appeared and I was all "lol Bowser I kick your butt too". As the battle went I began to say HOSHI- because he was tough, but I actually made it through on my first try. (I actually focused specifically on Kammy Koopa at first.)
This was actually easy, I just went in with Lucky Start, and Lucky Day. When it began I got 2x turn , so I owned Kammy because in previous fights she always helps him out. So it was smart to get her first, after that Bowser can't get healed or stronger anymore. :D
Strategy: Before battling Grodus, make sure you have around 85-90 star points. When you defeat Grodus, you'll go up a level and you'll be fully healed before you have to fight Bowser.
Its funny because mario had to collect like alot of crystal stars before he could get in the thousand year door and bowser just had to break through the ceiling!
My strategy was to use Charge as much as able with both Mario and a teammate. Do this until you can deal over 30 damage. Bring plenty of healing items, at least 2 or 3 Life Shrooms just in case, but if you guard right, you'll do ok. Power Lift can help with defensive problems, and Sweet Feast if low on FP. Hammer attacks won't be of much help with this, though. Do this with any major boss and you should knock down almost all of their HP in one attack.
Ah, almost 4got. If u have over 200 hp, over 15 bp and over 10 fp, u'll be fine. Use ur most trusted badges. Fully level up all ur partners and use fp wisely . That counts 4 Sp as well
@Sorodoa True, but leveling up between fights makes him all the easier. And I haven't played this in about a year, so I kinda forgot how hard he was to beat.
Bowser would OWN Mario if he had: 1. A shell as big as the one he throws in Mario Kart Double Dash. 2. Shell Toss Technique with the big shell. 3. 3 packs of Steroids. 4. Star Rod 5. All 7 Star Spirits, all 7 Crystal Stars, all 8 Pure Hearts. 6. 1,000 Chain Chomps. 7. Good Luck Charm, which is a Peach Poster in Bowser's point of view, or anything that probably does anything with Peach.
The use of Drum & bass in this really gives it a kick. It is really unfitting for Bowser, but the whole game is a mindfuck, and what comes inbetween is just orgasmic; just hard to believe how brilliant this game was.
That pit was endless. I was getting bored when I was at 70 pit. I took a rest then started to play till 100. When I found bonetail I screamed. Beating him was so cool!
I played this game almost ten years ago when it came out. I was 12. I am now 19. There are so many reasons why this game is great, but the fact that this game predicted that my first love would be named Vivian (my favorite partner in this game) is astounding. 10/10
Snake: What the hell? Campbell: Bowser? Perhaps he's here for revenge? Snake: Damn.. I just fought Grodus. I don't think I can win this. Campbell: You can, and you will. I know you're exhausted, Snake, but you've got to pull through. You didn't come all this way to fail now. Snake: Yeah, you're right. Campbell: Now brace yourself, this will be your toughest battle yet.
The first time I played the game and beat Grodus with 4 HP left and all of a sudden this music kicks in and Bowser and Kammy come from friggin NOWHERE i was like ARE YOU SHITTING ME!?!?!?!?
When I first played this game and I was in the Danger Zone after beating Grodus I shouted "Yay! I beat up Grodus finally!!" then Bowser crashed on top of Grodus through the ceiling I said "Quick Vivian hide me in the shadows!" but too late and then I got Game Overed because I didn't have enough Star Power for Sweet Feast
It was a miracle on how I beat Bowser. It was as if God himself said, "No! Bowser shall not be you stopping point....Shadow Queen maybe since you didn't prepare before you entered idiot but NOT Bowser!" And what descended from on high upon a Golden Charior was 3 shine sprites on the roulette. And choirs of angels sang and I wept thinking, "I get to live for another turn."
Most epic BOWSA music EVER. When I heard this I was like: This is NOT Bowsa music. But then I serious'd and beat him. (I leveled up after Grodus so he wasn't very difficult for me.)
@metalflygon08 No I think they were represented by bowsers non battles theme and the fight in glitzpitz. However since you do fight kammy and bowser at the same time it would make sense.
A good idea would be to have Sp in the 70s so when you beat Grodus you level up and regain HP and FP for the fight agianst Bowsah and Kammy and hear the awesome music
Kammy: Lord Bowser! Mario is gotten into the Palace of shadow! Let's get him! Bowser: Oh come on, I need a rest you old hag. Kammy: Ok, your tiredness, we'll rest. (Bowser sits down, large crash occurs) Kammy: what a brilliant plan, your chunkiness! let's get those stars! Bowser: ahhh, man that hurt... oh, wha? I mean YEAH! You'd never catch me sitting down on the job! let's go stamp mario and take my treasure, hag!
He is correct. megamario3234 said he was HARD. EVEN IN CAPITALS. I agree with him. I got a level up after Grodus and still thought this battle was amazingly tough.
@evilkirby4 I had TONS of Ultra Shrooms, I didn't even buy any either, Is that strange? I don't even remember having to use an Ultra Shroom in the bowser fight, I just had the badges that suited me and they helped me win. Although, All my Ultra Shrooms were eaten during the Shadow Queen fight, I had NO items left, hardly any FP and hardly any HP. Thank god for luck.
For some of us, I guess it's pretty much realized that this song is inspired by a combination of both the terrorizing of Bowser and the majestic magic of Kammy Koo. Or is that just a coincidence? Gotta think on that, huh... :/
@tconman31 If I made a Paper Mario game, the extra secret boss would be all the chapter bosses of the first four games, and you can only heal between games (only by using items too)
Nice battle theme from bowser. Kamma was very annoying healing 8 HP all the time. I like the Bowser theme from Paper Mario 1 the most. :) And from this song I love 0:30 - 0:53
Favorite Bowser theme in history. He's become such a buffoon lately, but this music makes him sound like a serious villain, not a bumbling wannabe. And it still manages to sound like Bowser music... just incredibly pumped-up and coooooool.
My first time, This battle was hellish, and challenging, and this music was so amazing it kept me on edge the entire battle.
"WHAT WOULD BE A FINALE WITHOUT A BOWSER APPEARANCE???!!! A CRUDDY FINALE THAT'S WHAT"
Whats wrong Mario? All worn out from your last battle? Here I come!
This is the best battle in the game. Love the challenge of not being able to recover and the music is the best.
This is very, very epic! Thanks for uploading this.
Supposedly it's on the Wii virtual console, so it's one I'll definitely be looking into getting someday.
My favorite part about this music, is that it doesn't sound like a Mario game at all.
"What good is a finale without a Bowser appearance?"
GWAR HAR HAR!
This music is definitely the best in the game. I like the intensity.
Less making himself LOOK like one, more drawing attention to the fact that he IS one.

The way Bowser came out at the end of the grodus fight to completely screw you over... he must be gary oak's long lost father!
I know. And even if I don't recall it myself it's either because I forgot to or lost space in 500 characters most of the time...
It still didn't change in the videos, but over that time however Mario starts to tell people to stop the video on the second it goes awry with more text boxes.
I don't know what it is about bowser music that i absolutely love, but in almost every mario game, i hear his songs .... and...
Holy shit! I remember my favorite part of this soundtrack even though it was many years ago when I fought him as a young child. I'd say this is my favorite Bowser associated theme.

One thing for sure bowser loves drum and bass and so do I :)
OH NO IT'S THE HUGE MIGHTY KING OF GUYS WHO TALK TO POSTERS!
FriedVHS98 okay we'll all of you asses stop putting that online
i have to admit this fight was awesome, but the fact that bowser came in RIGHT after that FECKING GRODUS made me nerd rage
Lol they made Bowser the best villan ever in this Mario game. The theme is also kick ass.
I never noticed how badass his song is O_O
I guess I was to pissed and overwhelmed to hear it after that hell like battle with Grodus
i agree, this fight kicked my ass SEVERAL times, especially since grodus beat me up so bad the whole fight before lol
"What's a finale without a Bowser appearance? Nothing!" Or something to that effect. One of his best lines ever.
This the best Bowser theme in the entirety of the Mario series.
This was actually easy, I just went in with Lucky Start, and Lucky Day.
When it began I got 2x turn , so I owned Kammy because in previous fights she always helps him out. So it was smart to get her first, after that Bowser can't get healed or stronger anymore. :D
I love it! AWESOME! But I missed hearing his little evil laughter in the beginning.... xD
And those drums xD something else! Love it!
No music has ever made Bowser as menacing as this theme. I mean, Jesus! It's intimidating!
Strategy:
Before battling Grodus, make sure you have around 85-90 star points. When you defeat Grodus, you'll go up a level and you'll be fully healed before you have to fight Bowser.
wow I never noticed how badass his music was in PM:TTYD ._.
I love how he literally drops in and says you can't end a Mario game without a Bowser fight.
Its funny because mario had to collect like alot of crystal stars before he could get in the thousand year door and bowser just had to break through the ceiling!
It's pretty easy if you grind for enough star points before the first fight. Then you'll level up and recover all the way before this fight.
Now I look like the huge, mighty king of GUYS WHO TALK TO POSTERS!
And, as Bowser says, to believe we almost had a cruddy finale...
The song and the fight was awesome the first time around...I remember I was really nervous when Bowser came to fight me lol
I played it atleast 20 times just love this game first game i got and also is the most played ive gotten
You just gota love how Gordos is going to kill you than bowsers lands on top of him.
" darnit Mario! Thats like the 100th time youve shown up at my castle and screwed EVERYTHING UP!!"
finally! the battle against bowser the huge mighty king of guys who talk to posters! XD
Ah, almost 4got. If u have over 200 hp, over 15 bp and over 10 fp, u'll be fine. Use ur most trusted badges. Fully level up all ur partners and use fp wisely . That counts 4 Sp as well
@Sorodoa
True, but leveling up between fights makes him all the easier.
And I haven't played this in about a year, so I kinda forgot how hard he was to beat.
Parents who don't supervise their kids closely enough. That's why.
Bowser would OWN Mario if he had:
1. A shell as big as the one he throws in Mario Kart Double Dash.
2. Shell Toss Technique with the big shell.
3. 3 packs of Steroids.
4. Star Rod

6. 1,000 Chain Chomps.
7. Good Luck Charm, which is a Peach Poster in Bowser's point of view, or anything that probably does anything with Peach.
@BowserTiny it did that for you too? what a coincidence! it predicted my first love would be named yoshi!
It's WAY harder to beat Bowser in this game than it was in the original Paper Mario.
"What kind of finale would be without an appearance by the great Bowser? A cruddy one! That's what!"
The use of Drum & bass in this really gives it a kick.
It is really unfitting for Bowser, but the whole game is a mindfuck, and what comes inbetween is just orgasmic; just hard to believe how brilliant this game was.
This song is EpiX, yet it still has that somewhat goofy feel that we all love about The King of Awesome, Gano-I mean Bowser! xD
He was pretty easy, if you knew what you were doing. Bonetail and the Pit of 100 Trials was a completely different story, on the other hand.
5 power Plus and 150 HP and power smash >:c
Willy Larson Overacheiver, much? >:P
yus yus i am
That pit was endless. I was getting bored when I was at 70 pit. I took a rest then started to play till 100. When I found bonetail I screamed. Beating him was so cool!
As a kid, I could never beat Bowser. I came back and played this game when I was older and man, everything was too easy. Except Bonetail. :D
This song brings back memories :) ps just like the other paper mario the thousand year door battle songs.
I played this game almost ten years ago when it came out. I was 12. I am now 19. There are so many reasons why this game is great, but the fact that this game predicted that my first love would be named Vivian (my favorite partner in this game) is astounding. 10/10
He's kinda failing at being Evil these days but he's still REALY dangerous!
I didn't level up after Grodus, but I'm good at superguarding so I was able to beat Bowser afterwards anyway.
If you don't have 70 star points by the time you face Grodus, you're screwed.

Mario paint composeres YOUR FINAL CHALLENGE: this theme
I love the 8-bit part 50 seconds in
Now this IS a Bowser theme!
In the first game I used the Gooba-'o-death with a bunch of charges and multibonk. works EVERY time :D
Gotta love that timpani.
AWESOME BOWSER THEME!!!!!
スターポイントを80ぐらいで、
バツガルフを倒してレベルアップすると、
HP・FP・SPも万全で挑める
Kammy: Lord Bowser! Mario is gotten into the Palace of shadow! Let's get him!
Bowser: Oh come on, I need a rest you old hag.

You are literally in a position to die in one hit. If you did not stock proper recovery items, you are seriously in for a lethal time.
You got to love the GRAHAHAHAHA at the begining.
It's so epic. I have this battle song as my ringtone x3
annotation speaks the truth.
love this game yes this fight was hard but for me the shadow queen was the hardest took me years to find a way to beat her lol
He is correct. megamario3234 said he was HARD. EVEN IN CAPITALS. I agree with him. I got a level up after Grodus and still thought this battle was amazingly tough.
@evilkirby4

@megamario3424
it was hairy at first...but after beating Bowser i had to go all the way back to freaking Rogueport
I used to be obsessed with the bowser music in the first paper mario. that is NOTHING compared to this bowser music though :)
lol yeah, one of the best quote of paper mario xD
i remember this fight, i had to grind to get myself 99 star points when i beat grodus
and i leveled up this fight was cake
Bowser was hardcore here, He magically knew Grodus was weak so he decided "Right, I'm gonna fall on this prick" Because that is what pro villains do.
For some of us, I guess it's pretty much realized that this song is inspired by a combination of both the terrorizing of Bowser and the majestic magic of Kammy Koo. Or is that just a coincidence? Gotta think on that, huh... :/
@tconman31
If I made a Paper Mario game, the extra secret boss would be all the chapter bosses of the first four games, and you can only heal between games (only by using items too)
I planned my levels so that I level up on Grodus and get to fight Bowser fully restored :3
Does anyone else think this sounds like the Team Rocket Base Theme of FireRed/LeafGreen?
Nice battle theme from bowser. Kamma was very annoying healing 8 HP all the time.
I like the Bowser theme from Paper Mario 1 the most. :)
And from this song I love 0:30 - 0:53
KoploperMau agreed
I didn't find it too difficult.
I was just happy to get into a real fight with Kammy.
well,in super paper mario you can use bowser so technicaly he wins wen you use him.
Goombella and Mario the Strong duo in this game for this boss.. :)
oh lawdy those drums.
Get them, Lord Bowser! Rah-Rah-Rah!!!
I've played Super Mario RPG. I know he's a party member. I forgot about that.
